Starting my Homestead

Hello frens. I'm finally starting my Homesteading journey. I have purchased 10 acres of land in the highlands of Vietnam. Dak Lak area. Im Posting with vpn.

I have 20k USD left over. It should cost me about 7k USD to build something similar to pic related.

I have 13k left to build things to make me more comfy. I am open to suggestions. I have basic handyman skills and basic farming skills. I did FFA in HS.

Yes I'm sure I did all the paperwork right and the locals won't be able to seize my property later. I'm here now with my wife and daughter.

I have come into $200 000 recently and have lost my job because frick the vaxx. I own my home which I could sell for $600 000. I'm interested in this "homesteading" you speak of.

    Please elaborate.

I think the best way of dividing up the final 13k would be two categories. Things I want, things I need, things to make a small amount of money.

Even with a house + farm animals / plants and stuff, I'll still need a reliable way to make at least $50 a month. Realistically I'll still need salt / small things I can't make but can buy cheaply. So your money should be enough.

Cash goes a lot farther here. I'll never save enough for a nice house in America. I don't want to slave for 20 years for a house

          Also my ip is banned

Get chickens, building a coop isnt too bad and they're pretty easy to take care of. Some breeds lay 300 eggs a year per chicken

Also you can go cheap with metal roofing and then on top of it, suspended, one of those greenhouse shade tarps for heat and noise cancellation, it works wonders and very cheap solution.

    Fug on the go

Why did you buy 10 acres? 2 acres is more than enough to homestead for 2 ppl.

I’m homesteading on one acre, I have so much extra food I have to literally give it away, and I’m only utilizing about 1/8 of my property to grow fruits/veggies
