I’ll keep the ones that I like, but I don’t want to double up. Also don’t want to be a poser and have a bunch of tools I never use. Anybody else restore old tools? What do you do with them?

Pimp them online and buy some more. I would buy bulk lots until my drawers were over filling, chose what I liked and sell the rest as a bulk lot.
Depending on how good your restorations are you could possibly start a small business.

Why not embrace it?
Start tripping
This is always a good idea. We clearly need more tripgays around here.
Sell them to moronic boomers or start a YouTube channel like everyone else.
I will repair tools if I find something useful and maybe broken, but I ratley find old tools worth a frick. The whole idea of “restoring tools” is pretty fricking lame unless it’s a Bridgeport or something
The whole “ain’t made like they used to be” is a load of dogshit
> “ain’t made like they used to be”
It applies to appliances, cars and houses.
Yeah I really miss glass fuses and lighting the oven with a match, 2" drum brakes and mechanical ignition points, and single glazed sliding patio doors that would freeze shut in the winter from condensation pooling in the tracks and would also slice you to ribbons when they broke.

I sure love wifi connectivity and apps, can't live without em.
Donate them to tech schools or schools that still have trade classes. If you've got kids, go to Lowes or Home Depot when they offer those project classes for children, and offer the tools to low-income kids/families. Or just sell them online, easypeasy.
>Donate them to tech schools
Jesus fricking Christ don't do this
They over charge the kids that go there and will just use the excess funds for drugs or a sports stadium
Just looks like a bunch of washed tools
It's not about being a production shop, it's about being able to handle what life throws at you.
If youre young enough you'll want almost everything there someday
>no tool anon to teach me how to use tools
