Springfield Hellcat. Quality, reliability and malfunctions.

There was once a thread about how Hellcat is better than Glock 43 but glockgays started to talk about how shitty is Hellcat and how reliable is Glock. Can anybody who owns Hellcat say anything about its quality?

Jesus can we stop with the Hellcat threads Jesus. I love mine but it’s just a simple compact. Nothing special but good enough.

If He will not acquit anyone who misuses his name, then doesn't that mean anyone who has done so is already fricked and it doesn't matter?

      >every 500rds they stop and clean the gun
      >every 2000 rounds they replace the recoil spring assembly

      This video is bullshit.

I personally don't like the trigger on the hellcat and the recoil compared to the 43x or 365. The grip of it is decent compared to either of those guns, and even the 365xl. For my hands at least. The Hellcat pro is even comfier, but the trigger is still shit and recoil isn't much improved.
In conclusion, I wish there was a staggered mag PPS M2, because the PPS M2 beats all of those guns aside form capacity (and being a little bigger I guess)

I didn't actually watch the video, but the thumbnail shows that guy is shooting +p, so the test might be in line with Springfield's recommendations.
I can tell you that the SIGs armorers manual recommends replacing the 365 recoil spring assembly after 5k (or 10k for the xl). I can't find it in the manual, but an armorer instructor did state that if shooting +p, you basically halve the round count on most wear parts.

How the frick is that bullshit? 10,000 rounds without breakage is 10,000 rounds without breakage. Just because your Hi Point can't do that doesn't mean other guns can't.

NTA but I think he means to say 10,000 rounds without breakage is a stretch of a claim here because they replaced parts at smaller intervals, thus rendering the tests invalid as a show of whether the gun as a whole could take the 10,000 rounds.

It's a subcompact, they're all like that lel. Probably don't need the cleaning but recoil springs in subcompacts are on the ragged edge of reliability, they wear pretty quick and then you can have issues with slide velocity outpacing your magazine spring and causing rounds to nosedive on the feed ramp. I don't own a hellcat and have zero interest in whatever the latest meme striker gun is but that has been my experience with many other subcompacts, not with the flush mags but if you shoot big mags from a fullsize in a subcompact you will probably notice the problem after 2k rounds.

Bro they're pretty much all the same. Get the one you think will be the best fit, or better yet, get to a range and try them out. There isn't any real discernable difference between this class of pistol. If anything, you'd be better off moving up to the HELLcat pro or 365xl level.

I own one. Have only put 700 rounds through it. I've had one malfunction shooting the cheapest ammo I can find but it was a stovepipe so that was most likely me limp wristing it.

I carry mine AIWB with a 507k dot on it and a streamlight TLR7 sub. Ask away.

I have a Hellcat. Buddy #1 has a P365. Buddy #2 has a G48. We are all convinced we bought the superior carry pistol. I keep mine in an Alien Gear Shapeshifter. We all agree that I have the most comfortable holster lol.

p365 is actually statistically inferior. Less rounds for the same size as a Hellcat.

Meh. I pull the trigger and it goes bang. The point of buying a pistol in this class is because it is comfortable to carry. If you want anything more- buy a different type of gun.

Don’t own a 43. The only issue I have had with my Hellcat was some slight internal rust from carrying in the Texas summer and not taking care of it (my P365 is worse, especially the magazines). P365 trigger is better. Hellcat sights are better (however I don’t actually like U rear sights)

    I've owned a Hellcat for 2 years.
    I'm considering the P365X.
I've shot about 800rnds thru the Hellcat.
Now that things have improved in ammo costs, I'm going to go put a hundred rounds thru it this weekend to see if I really feel like I need another CC pistol.

    >Hellcat is based on XDs which is based on XD which is based on 3pin glock.
Differences in quality between the two brands are insignificant. Just finger frick them at the store and buy one you like the best.
    >inb4 HS used to cost $200 before sprinfield
You boomer, that was over 20 years and 50% of USD value loss ago. While they were made in a country that was a decade past communism and 5 years past a massive war. The salaries quadrupled since then as they can finally build an economy.

Everyone i know who has them has good things to say about them overall. Listen anon, pretty much everyone can release a working reasonably decent gun to the market. Even Taurus put out the G4 or whatever and it's pretty solid by most accounts even if it lacks some of the nicer things like stock night sights. You live in an era where even the cheapest $300 Taurus blows away the bottom tier guns of 50 years ago (which, ironically, was probably still a Taurus or Rossi). Everyone can make a striker fired 9mm handgun now.

Didnt springfield do a literal recorded on film 50k test already, and besides i dont see the harm in doing lube ups every few hundred when most people probably dont shoot much more than that between cleanings anyway

It is an alarmingly unpleasant gun to shoot, felt recoil is unironically equivalent to a full size .45
but it’s not a gun for fun, it’s a highly concealable little handcannon for self defense only

Hellcat is a decent shooter, but I prefer the standard P365 for my edc. Neither will shoot as well as a Glock 19 or p226, but both are good. I just carry the P365 because its the most comfortable with the iwb holsters I have. I work a pretty physical job where I need to move and bend a lot. The best gun is the one you will carry on your person, all day, every day.
