Not when other mp5 options are available. If you need to have the roll mark, go for it though

If you got money to burn, sure. Otherwise there is little point to buy it over an AP5. It will have better fit and finish and you'll have zero qualms it'll ever have problems. The AP5, often considered the most reliable of the production clones, has issues for some from time to time, but by and large has been very well received.

Just the idea of having the SP5 produced in the same factory in Germany that produces the MP5 with the same quality standards make me blush.

    >Worth the money?
Depends how much the money is worth to you, actually. Functionally there's not a big difference but the chance to actually own one produced by the original manufacturer is pretty cool. So if the $1500 is a big deal to you then it's not worth it probably, if that's a small amount of money to you then go for the HK. The real question is full size or K version.

It's the most cucked MP5 on the market so I say paying a premium for a little rollmark and dealing with the bullshit it comes with is not worth it

      >most cucked
      In what way?
      >Suppressed? Full size

I haven't ever even seen these guns in real life. Just curious what are your thoughts behind them.

They made them near impossible to convert to full auto, whereas the mke turkey guns are easily converted

Full size is quieter suppressed, generally...

          >Full size is quieter suppressed, generally...

That's probably because more gunpowder is
          burned inside the barrel.
The MP5 and clones appear to be some of the easiest 9mm PCC to suppress.

          >They made them near impossible to convert to full auto, whereas the mke turkey guns are easily converted

I never liked the Navy style lower receiver. The MKE has the more classic euro style lower design.

Suppression is great and the modular construction is a nice feature, plus it cleans easy.
Dunno about longevity, there is definitely some erosion in the first couple of baffles, but at this rate it'll probably outlast the barrel.

    Yeah, below 3k.

ignore these morons. The clone shits aren't built to the same spec or standards.

      Anonymous

Yeah, the clones are built to specs more closely resembling a real MP5. If HK made a gun the exact same as the AP5 with HK markings, THEN it might be worth it if you wanted to flex. As it stands now, it's an inferior product.

lol imagine thinking your gun that says "made in turkey" is more authentic than one that says "heckler & koch"

          > one that says "heckler & koch"
yeah, engraved in tiny letters right underneath a larger set that tells you to read an instruction manual because they assume you're moronic and don't want to get sued. think that shit came on the MP5s they used in the Iranian embassy hostage incident?

uh not at all. Try doing a hardness test between your turkshit bolt carrier and an HK carrier.

          >muh 1 pin lower is justasgood!
          >I don't NEED an authentic lower or easy convertibility to F/A
Cope. People who want the closest thing to a real MP5 get the Turkshit guns. People who want to pay $1000 for an ugly incorrect rollmark are free to buy the SP5

Clones aren't built to HK spec. I have an HK SP5 and it doesn't take Turkish parts. A friend of mine has a Turk G3 and it doesn't take 3 different types of (original) HK stocks.

            An here is my SP5.
The build quality, specs of the SP5 are much better.
And so far it ran flawlessly, i need to ask him how his T41 ran.
The MKE mad me realize if I buy a G3 clone I'd buy a SAR.

Surplus furniture but also a new HK collapsible stock. Each would have to be hammered onto the MKE to fit.

              Anonymous

No, you said SP5s don't take Turkish parts. Elaborate.

                Anonymous

I'd strongly assume it because the T41 doesn't take present or past HK furniture.

literally every clone has significantly worse quality control and reliability. unfortunately, the internet is mostly used by poors who seethe when you point put that their cope guns are in fact not just as good. you also see this with the morons who believe zastava is just as good as molot or arsenal.

For what HK is asking? Frick no. I'm not dropping $3k on something I have to drop more money on to make it even look as authentic as a now-$1100 roach clone. Miss me with that bullshit.

Always find the lowest price available, then do some research to see if they're safe.

The MP5, luckily, is a relatively safe option for a carbine, so it's kinda difficult for a manufacturer to frick it up.

I have an SP5 and it works flawlessly out of the box. All the MKE clones are crude don't fit HK parts and their reviews are bad. A friend of mine got the MKE T41 as well.

Almost flawlessly, the only issue I've had that wasn't caused by an extractor spring breaking because I wore it out from shooting so much was an OOB a couple years back. It was PPU 124gr., I have no idea what happened and it hasn't happened since. Gun was completely fine.

Also notice that if you want a SAR tuned trigger you'd have to mention if it was a MKE gun becaus the trigger won't fit the MKE specs.
