Certainly not; but I don't see any sense at all in declaring loudly exactly how you did it, in the middle of a fucking war, when there are half a dozen other ships the Ukes could have sunk if they'd kept their traps shut
so what that tells me in fact, is that the story put out is what the Ukes hope the Russians will believe
Doubtful since only the landing ships killed at snek island have ventured close to Ukraine. The rest of the fleet has been staying away since Moskva was supposed to be the air defence for the entire fleet
Also feel like the TB2s were just used to test if Russian AAW was working
What the fuck is wrong with zoomers these days, is the concept of KEEPING THINGS SECRET so terribly foreign that one must push 101 arguments why one shouldn't reveal tactical information in the face of HURR DURR JUST PUBLISH EVERYTHING ONLINE?!?!
>The rest of the fleet has been staying away
because of all kinds of shore-based threats. The Uke coast is chockful of mines and shore battery missiles of all shapes and sizes by now. But if they had been stupid enough to come in and try something, it would have been the supreme height of fucking STUPIDITY if they'd come adequately prepared with countermeasures for the Neptune-TB2 combo, simply because some starved-for-attention social media tweaker had happily posted the real ship-killing tactic for all the world to see mere minutes after hitting the fucking thing.
Anon the flagship of the fleet was sunk, if you think armchair historians saying "This is how we think they did it" even Ukraine saying "Yeah we did it" had any impact on them suddenly becoming much more cautious you're retarded because that implies you think shoigu/gerasimov believe the fucking smoking accident cover stories.
>armchair historians saying "This is how we think they did it"
There's no mainstream alternative theory >Ukraine saying "Yeah we did it"
That they did it is not the question; HOW they did, is >that implies you think shoigu/gerasimov believe the fucking smoking accident cover stories
Use your brain anon, there can be all sorts of delivery and targeting methods or even ordnance types for all you know (are you SURE it was Neptune? why, because Ukraine said so?), you'd have to be an idiot of a Russian admiral not to consider the alternatives, and thus you'd have to be an idiot of a Ukrainian admiral to reveal your hole card and dispel the uncertainty just like that
Dear god, zoomies are retarded

No you are just repeating shit spread here that has no basis in fact
Moskva had the longest ranged SAM capability in the Black Sea, that's a fact

Don't be disingenuous. "AA capability" is not a 1/0 operation. A deck-mounted machine-gun is also "AA capability".

I've already stated, TWICE >Moskva had the longest-ranged AA capability
while pressing you for an answer you're still too cowardly to give.
Because this is Russia.
It wasn't only the radars that weren't working either. The moskva would have lost against a british fishing fleet in the state it was in.
It was only some of the radars sometimes, IIRC. They were using it for area denial air defense against Ukrainian fighters, and also to launch missile attacks against Ukrainian cities.
>They were using it for area denial air defense against Ukrainian fighters
Well it's kinda fucking important your radars actually work for that role >and also to launch missile attacks against Ukrainian cities.
I have seen zero evidence Moskva ever fired her Sandbox cans but I'm open to being proven wrong
Moskva made it safely back to port under it's own power. After returning, it volunteered for Special Operations, and has been performing critical missions behind Ukrainian lines. It has personally destroyed 47 HIMARS, 22 Patriots, over 200 Leopards and Bradleys, 4 Zelenskys, and captured 2 Boris Johnsons.
So basically the ship never got upgraded or refurbished EVER. Ironically it was built in mikolaiv in ukraine and in 2018 the russians sent it these to get refitted with modern kit, but they never actually paid the shipyard so it never gor the upgrades.
Long and short this thing is sailijg around with the same 1985 radars it was launched with. As you can imagine this led to some issues. There are some documenrs circling thats seem to show that the radio was interfereing with some of the radars so for one to be on the other had to be off.
Add to this an unpaid and untrained crew, probably treated like shit by their officers and with no damadge control capabilities whaysoever. Not a great combo with soviet 'cram as many weapons and ammunition into it as possible' ship design.
The fact the russians would even think to send such a boat into a war speaks volumes about the kind of people running russia at the moment
Major takeaways: >Missile illuminators failed to consistently track targets. >Unspecified issues with fire control radars for Osa air defense missiles. >Faulty electro-optical sensors for CIWS. >Air search radar incompatible with SATCOM.
last one always gets me, they legit ran that shit like dial-up, meaning you could only have one at a time

at some point the commander of the ship looked at this list, realized he would have literally zero air defense (no S-300, Osa, or AK-630) if he was on the satphone, and sailed into a war zone anyways

Did he really have a choice? He would have been removed from command (at best) if he tried to resist (far more likely is he'd be thrown in a gulag) You really think Putin would let one ship being in a shit state prevent his invasion plan?

Like everything, they under-estimated the Ukrainians whom they still see as poor vassals not fit to be slaves. What are the Ukies gonna do? Fire a missile at them? The flagship of the Black Sea? Come on.

well, one of them WAS working.... but if they turned it on it bricked their communications because of how badly they built it.
Think it was something along the lines of:
>It'd never be fired upon, Ukraine doesn't even have a navy anymore, what's the worst that could happen?
>the radars weren't working
the radar on other side of the ship worked
unfortunately the captain wasn't doing his job of having the working radar pointing to where attack would come from
I like the kewt little fishing boat on the side
