So if you can trust a man to not poison you, you can trust a man with a paramilitary organization? Was that the logic?

Honestly, PrepHole could just go into catering, go to a non NATO country, serve the higher ups, work towards the executive branch, and get arms contracts. Easiest route to be a warlord.

Putin was killed and replaced with a body double who underwent plastic surgeries, the real power in Russia is literally a criminal conspiracy made up of formed KGB guys and criminals who ended up becoming the main businessmen in Russia. Prigozhin is a member, so was Shoigu, but there was a power struggle between them. Putin doesn't exist, they served the body double food to remind him that he can be killed at any time.

He would be a bad replacement if he did not do his homework on the man he is replacing. Knowing the people he used to know and supporting them is all part of the job. Especially when it is those folks that used to know the real Putin that are giving you this job in the first place.

Prigozhin wasn't literally Putin's chef or even caterer, he was just the front guy in a catering company in St Petersberg that was most likely laundering mob money embezzled from city hall when Putin was mayor.

He did use the catering company to cater a few state dinners so there were occasions when you'd see him serving food to Putin and wine to Bush but he's just the cook's boss, not a chef.

His interest in catering came from when he got in with the mob after getting out of prison, he travelled a bit, experienced Haute cuisine in Paris and thought to open a restaurant doing similar "classy" food in St Petersberg. It was probably still a money laundering operation but it gave him a convenient cover.

It was a nickname that didn't translate into English. It's a quadruple meaning With a the food poisoning Putin's chef meant the guy Putin would use organize killing, the guy Putin could trust to cook for him, the guy who might end up killing Putin and the joke about him being a brunch organizer. You are correct

His airplane blew up last week, and he was listed as a passenger on the plane's manifest, but no body was found.

He's probably hanging out with Osama Bin Laden, who is also clearly still alive.

The so called 'Ultranationalists' want the entire Soviet nomenklatura Boomers to be removed and with it any and all strategic and organizational mission creep chasing the old ComIntern pipe dreams of 'world socialist revolution'. Meritocracy - like axing Shoigu & Gerasimov for this fuckfest - is a threat to that institutional stranglehold. That's the Girkin 'liberal oligarchic' faction word substitution: Soviet Boomer Ideologue true believers.
