there isn't really a place on earth, even with the strictest gun control in place, that you wouldn't be able to find some shotgun shells. they are simply ubiquitous. shotguns are unpredictable, uncertain devices with vast utility depending on your choice of ammunition. just buy one and enjoy.

I suggest you take a vacation to some place like England. Go see how ubiquitous shotgun shells are.

England is literally the land of shotguns, it's the easiest to get type of firearm, and they have more variety of shells than sometimes one can find here in the US. here's some content for your moronic brain. https://www.youtube.com/@tgsoutdoors/videos

          >land of shotguns
There's 60.2 million people in England and Wales, and only 617,000 shotguns. It is not ubiquitous. moron.

your numbers are possibly outdated, there are at least 500,000 shotgun certificates, and on average, each certificate holder owns 2.7 shotguns.

But anyway, once you take out the hyperurban areas of England, the ratio goes way up.

Texans buy their kids a shotgun by age 12.

          >England is literally the land of shotguns
My Black person, England has fewer guns of *any* type than just about any other first world country, empirically. They aren't the land of anything to do with firearms.

your numbers are possibly outdated, there are at least 500,000 shotgun certificates, and on average, each certificate holder owns 2.7 shotguns.

          So practically all of England.

What shtf? 1930s depression? Yeah probably the best. You blast a squirrel in your public park during the day with bird shot and get followed home by hungry third world migrants wanting a piece. You can then switch to buck shot and shoot anyone trying to steal your shit. After a while you'll be left with dozens of brown orphans which you can use to capture squirrels to breed them for food.

I dunno man, does SHTF mean nuclear war to you? Or home invasion, or riots, or throwing a literal shit at your ceiling fan?

I don't know, but I shot a bunch of birds this year with mine and it would have sucked trying to do that with a rifle.

Its like a leatherman. Is a leatherman the best screw driver, pliers, wire cutters, file and knife all at once? No. But its a single device that can do anything you need well enough, most of the time. Thats why shotguns frick. With the right shells youre honestly solid for anything up to 100 yards if you know what youre doing. Food, getting into places, stopping predators both two and four legged kinds, signalling and on and on. The biggest down side is weight and volume.

In the US, AR-15 is the universal gun prior to everything else. In Africa, it's the AK. In Europe, 12 gauge all the way.

      >In the US, AR-15 is the universal gun prior to everything else
No it isn't. It's extremely popular, especially with hobbyists, but statistically it'd be 12 gauge in America too.
