ScopeSwitch

Now that scope switche has just dropped, what do you guys think? Is this the future in LPVOs? Or will this be a gimmick?

I think it's gonna be great, I'm just curious if it's easy to break. I like how quick it is, I just hope it's durable. That o-ring looking belt looks weak, and I'd like to feel that slide to see how it is.if it's weak that's a bust and will break the decision

This is the kind of wacky shit you'd see during WW1.
      I love it.

Wow that looks like an awful idea.. you know I want to see however? More 1/x scopes kind of like Elcan style.. I have absolutely no use for 1.1-5.9x and would much rather prefer a flip of either or. More companies should try that instead. Give elcan competition

Lead & Steel are working on exactly that. They plan to produce a modernised elcan that is better, cheaper, and lighter.

It's all part of the product. The thumb slider drives the belt, which runs inside the rail cover and spins the zoom ring.

Yeah I wanna see the testing and keep an eye on it for a while before getting one. I want to see it released and get improvements

They price is at $600 because they know tactitards will buy it BECAUSE it costs $600 so they can say
      >stop being poor
and tactitards will do nothing with it but pose for pics and dump into trash

Influencers are bandwagon flash mobs for gimmick Gucci products. Let's hope this doesn't reach them. I think accu tac is a good example.

Also, didn’t see this at first
      >1.93 meme height only

Also no centered options so far

seems pretty good for competition where the half a second difference it saves in adjusting your lpvo actually matters, but for actual '""real world""" use it doesnt really seem to offer much benefit with the cost of being both expensive and another big chunk of shit on the front of your rifle. And in terms of just shooting for fun I don't really see any value

It's not even a belt, it really is just an oring clamped to fidget spinner with a slider on it. I like the idea though

Scope mount with a few pulleys that uses up your entire top rail to let you adjust zoom by sliding it back and forth. Because too many valuable miliseconds are used up when you're in the heat of the moment, magdumping full-auto, and need to zoom in while shooting.

oh okay it IS exactly as moronic as it looked. Wow.
"Gimmick" is too positive of a word, OP. Though maybe some anon can attach one to a fricking running alternator belt and rip their scope in half for the lulz.

Actually, when SHTF (Shit Hits The Fan) and you find yourself in a real I.R.L. tactical situation, you will WISH you had this doohickey while operating. It could mean your life (or his!).

    >quick adjust bullshit

Why would you jinx your marketing like that?

      Anonymous

LPVOs don't actually get down to a true 1x magnification, there's still gonna be some slight fisheye and a little magnification.
Also RMRs mounted on a piggyback or cant aren't really for aiming anyways, its for getting the gun pointed in the right 10 degree cone quickly without fighting eye relief so you can switch to your scope after putting the dot on something 600 yards out and just make slight adjustments to put the scope's reticle on the target, instead of just swinging to a general area and having to fish around manically for something that isn't in your FOV a 6x magnification.
Birdwatchers and other fast-shot photographers are actually doing the same thing right now, mounting RMRs on top of their cameras so they can swing to where they need to point quickly, before transferring to their viewfinders.
