Was thinking to get an S&W 327 / 627. I got a choice between a Scandium version (5 inch barrel) and a stainless steel version (also 5 inches, like my cock).
Fudd dealer also said he can (maybe) get the snub nosed version (Scandium only) if I want.
K/ommando suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
Also, reddit spacing.
>annoucing your own reddit spacing
risky play, but it takes balls. I can respect that.
You're either a dumb fuck or a newfag. Neither is an excuse nor acceptable.
>newfag
oh no.
All that lightweight alloy crap fucking sucks. Having the lightest revolver you can carry is retarded and for people who won't ever shoot their guns. My little brother has some Smith .38 with some alloy frame. While the trigger is leagues better than my sp101, it sucks to shoot 38+p worse than full blooded magnum out of my ruger. Definitely get the steel.
>but it's heavier
Your holster is carrying it, so don't be a bitch
>muh recoil
Yeah, that's the first issue that popped up when man-made alloys beyond your imagined horrors was brought up.
I have a S&W 629 (8+ incher) and a 500 S&W both stainless. I like the sheen, but I've coated it with shoe polish when I've gone out at night. The Scandium's matte finish just caught my eye.
Thanks for the brute honesty. That's why I love /k .... #no_homo
You're welcome bud. Always happy to help someone who is actually gonna shoot their guns.
>Magnum revolvers are the master race
If you're just carrying it all the time being pleasant to shoot isn't that important. I carry a p3at and it sucks to shoot more than a couple mags at a time, but that's not what i own it for. If it's a range queen just get steel.
What's your plan with it?
You're not concealing an N-Frame, if you're wanting a full size 357, at that price you can have anything you want.
Oh, yeah. It's not for concealed, although I suppose it can be done in winter time with a big ass snow coat.
It's chiefly for open totes, until I go into a SCIF or on some Fed property.
You know the answer.
Stainless 100% if you plan to actually shoot the thing. The scandium Smiths are known to flame cut themselves to death with a moderate round count. Also I'd consider a 686+, 7 rounds instead of 8 but the N frame is girthy as fuck while the 686+ can use standard 686 holsters and is still sorta CCable. I'd also think hard on the 5" bbl length, I went with it with a 686+ and honestly it's my only regret with the thing. Practically all the holsters out there are for 4" and 6" variants(you can use the 6" ones iirc but it triggers my risk). May be less of a problem with the 627s though.
That all being said I'd be lying if I said that the idea of a 627 with a WML and RDS wasn't hot, not the most practical gun for anything but it's be cool as heck.
>The scandium Smiths are known to flame cut themselves to death with a moderate round count.
Okay. Yeah .... THAT didn't come up. And that's why I wanted to pose the question here. Big safety no-no for me! Thanks!
>Also I'd consider a 686+, 7 rounds instead of 8 but the N frame is girthy as fuck while the 686+ can use standard 686 holsters and is still sorta CCable
I'm a big fat dynamo. Now that I think about it, I can probably conceal under a mu-mu, like Homer.
I'd post a pic, but apparently, I'm banned from uploading media. Oh well.
Stainless cuz scandium is too light
get a pre-lock blued revolver
return to tradition
.327 is a meme. You guys are almost as bad as the .30 sc or 9x25 Dillion fags
Based retard. The 327 is a model of revolver in .357 that predates the .327 round.
327 is the S&W model number, not the cartridge caliber it fires (which is 357 Magnum), but thank you for promoting your lack of reading proficiency.
the R8 is actually super pleasant to shoot .357 out of.
No Smith has a long enough cylinder for what I like to load.
i need to get g10 grips for my r8.
i hate how pretty much all revolver grips are like 100 bucks, its so stupid. outside of moon clips id say every revolver accessory costs at least 100 dollars.
