It's just an A1 trigger group because they actually train their sodiers. The C7 barrels are gov't profile, and the guy who get the HBAR C8A3s kinda hate them because they feel heavier than the full-length C7s, and with a 15.7" barrel they're not that short.
Having a flat-top AR was king shit about 20 years ago, but because leafs were early adopters, we chose weaver rails instead of picatinny so now the most common sight mounts are incompatible.
The only really notable ting is excellent build quality.
It has taken decades for the rest of the western world to recognize it was the best rifle design (besides being piston or not). The moronic brits even doubled down in their SA80 disaster paying germans to "fix" it, when they could have bough Diemacos for less money and get a better rifle.
