>differentiates the Russian Federation from claiming to be even a "regional power"
Sorry, but they are. Russia has an absolute shitload of neighbors it can invade, including all the Baltics, Poland, Ukraine, Georgia, Armenia, the Stans, Mongolia, and so on. They even have a land border with and a train route into China (if they're serious about national suicide just by the possible sheer numbers of chinsect wave attacks).
That's not even getting into their "gas pipeline diplomacy" that they used to subvert Germany and Hungary.
Wow they've done a really good job subverting Germany and all of Western Europe with their "gas pipeline diplomacy". It only strengthened the US LNG industry so I guess that's a major Russian win. And they've done such a good job in Ukraine that Poland and the Baltics are sure things as well. Russia definitely has a lot of neighbors they can invade but few they can actually defeat.
>Russia has an absolute shitload of neighbors it can invade, including all the Baltics, Poland, Ukraine, Georgia, Armenia, the Stans, Mongolia, and so on
The real question is if they can even successfully invade them let alone start an invasion in the first place

This is just outlining all the reasons why Russia should have not invaded Ukraine, not a defense for their hasty and embarrassing measures due to their repeated failure.

pretending that amerilards are in any way unprepared for, or unparanoid about, airspace incursions after 20 years of dicking around in the desert because of one is so incredibly ludicrous that if the poster's name were attached to the claim, they would lose all personal credibility forever.
>It's also a wild idea to you that the enemy might actually be competent and have good weapons
If Russia was actually competent and had good weapons, Ukraine already wouldn't be existing as a nation.
The most hilarious thing is that Iraq was better equipped, better trained, more motivated, and had a larger military than Ukraine did at the start of their invasions, and it was on the other side of the world, and the USA still took it in a month. Russia is about on par with the Iraqi military, probably worse.
If only any of their accidental invasions of Iran and Iranian airspace had lead to actual conflict. Then we'd have a better way of comparing them directly to Iraq by performance against Iran.
Tbf we have seen what happens when their “elite” Wagner mercenaries go up again American troops in the Middle East. Complete Russian destruction with no American casualties. And that’s the best troops Russia has to offer, so…
>Iraq was better equipped, better trained, more motivated, and had a larger military than Ukraine did at the start of their invasions
Anon I also like to laugh at Russia but this is most retarded post I've read in long time.
I don't know who is arguing what
But the Iraqis had built a army after 1991 gulf war.
Saddam was planing Iran Iraq war part 2 and that's why he had the chemical, biological and radiological weapons.
That army was fucking huge and extremely well armed compared to the Ukrainians at the start.
We just bombed the shit out of them then bum rushed their asses because they thought we were pussies who don't enjoy war.
Ukrainians drove the Russians off will pure Will power. It's going to be in the history books. I mean bakhumt was held by 2000 men and 1000 old ladies hiding in bunkers and hunting soldiers at night.... And they were fighting off 50000 Russian soldiers for 8 months and the Russians still couldn't take the city
>That army was fucking huge and extremely well armed compared to the Ukrainians at the start.
In what world? Like really, in what category Iraq was better equiped than Ukraine?

They literally had 3 world wars worth of chemical weapons, biological weapons and radiologic weapons. It could have destroyed the entire middle east if the war went on. Saddam would have used them and was trying to but he couldn't get to the stock piles fast enough. If you watch generation kill and see Mattis going nuts about tempo that's a huge reason why. They had to move that fast to prevent Saddam from getting to use them on American soldiers.

Iraq was the 4th largest army in the world when the USA invaded them. Only China and Russia were bigger. They had a huge arsenal of weaponry bought and paid with their oil money. An extensive air defense system, long range missile launchers, a large tank force, and half a million soldiers, with another half million reserves.
> Saddam was planing Iran Iraq war part 2 and that's why he had the chemical, biological and radiological weapons.
To this day NATO is searching for those mythical "radiolgical weapons". Still nothing found.
It's almost like mighty usa was waging a war against windmills. They even had to friendly fire their own troops to prove that the windmills were extremely heavily armed. Iraq was top 3 army at the time. Maybe even top 2. Hell, Saddam clearly had the advantage. Trust me, bro.

Doubt it. Arabs are terrible at war, especially in terms of morale. Even Ukrainian civies were fighting off russhits, while all Arabs can do is to flee in any sketchy situation
Too much of a target and the range of those flak towers was too limited to really protect the cities. A better system for air defense would be trench roads between ammo bunkers similar to the Maginot Line. Rapid reloading turrets like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LZVUBLn5pRI and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ErWkoQ8AMtY built over the ammo bunkers would allow the quick deployment of a large number of interceptors. Russian missile launchers are infamous for their slow reloads because they never figured out unitizing and they still cling to the communist labor theory of value so they think automation will tek thur jarbz.
Also this is a nice little video on the rocket landing ships.
It's kind of shocking that no one thought to equip a destroyer hull with rockets that had both the range and payload to match battleships. Radio-guided bombs and planes with TV cameras did exist back then so PGMs would have been possible in theory for naval warfare.
That's a Flaktürme, I think one of those in Vienna. They were build so massively that demolishing them was too complicated and they just left them standing.

>Russians >capable of abstract thought
lmao >3 day special military operation is planned by Russians of above average intelligence
but what if enemy bombs us back? >entire room is baffled at this officer of Germanic heritage >slavicly stare dumbfounded at him >what do you mean? Nobody is bombing Russia?
but they could if they wanted to, we are well within range, they could attack Moscow even >but you see, they are not, what you are saying is untrue, can you provide proof that the enemy is bombing us, that they have attacked Moscow? >continue in circles until the only one in the room capable of abstract thought is committed to a mental hospital for insanity
You see when Russia built up its forces to invade and America pointed this out, they were indeed not lying. In their minds, they had not invaded Ukraine so why would they? Maybe one or two Russians knew this was the plan, but the vast majority had no capacity to understand that their future actions can be ascertained by their current course. This is blatantly obvious when you see the immediate aftermath of the invasion. >huh? what do you mean selling our fuel is a problem? truck is running right now? You can't know it will stop tomorrow!
Desert Storm was a masterclass in the absolute destruction of the enemy, there is no discussion on that subject.
You okay Ivan? Seeing the constant hourly stream of your countrymen being dismembered or killed taking a toll on your mental health? If you wish to have a nice day, join your military and you'll be dead within a week.
Desert Shield (i.e. non-combat build up) lasted from August 2nd to January 15th, Desert Storm started its air campaign on January 16th, on January 29th the first ground combat happened when the Iraqi's poked their nose into Saudi Arabia and got slapped back 2 days later. US forces first left Saudi Arabia on Feb 15th, on Feb 27th Sadam ordered a general retreat from Kuwait because his forces had been fucked
lmao >US shitcans one of the largest and best equipped militaries on earth >decades later slavic expert claims it was no big deal that America was able to curbstomp a country on the other side of the globe to save face
It's good your defense mechanism is always pretending everyone else is weak and your own shortcomings mean nothing, it will ensure no matter what, Russia will always be a moron shithole incapable of doing anything but destroying itself.
>an enemy so weak
The Republican Guard actually fought harder and more competently than any russian unit we've seen so far, including those "elite" guards tank regiments that got basically wiped out before summer 2022
They actually died to the last man in some battles. The Iraqi Republican Guard was hardcore in that they knew what a fight against what was effectively an alien force that would strike them down from the heavens was like and stood their ground (only to be annihilated) which earned them that reputation. >What a speed bump feels like to the US
Okay this isn’t entirely true
The republican guard were loyal (to Saddam) competent professionals and veterans of the iran iraq war. They fought well, and one of the main objectives of the war was their total destruction as a fighting force forevermore. This was second only to removing Saddam from Kuwait.
This objective was not achieved precisely because they retreated in not entirely good order. In fairness I believe this retreat was ordered and not spontaneous. Seeing this retreat the US bombed the stream of vehicles flowing back to Iraq full of loot and occupying Iraqis. This is better known as the highway of death, which was prematurely ended because the powers that be felt it looked bad (it did, because people have since been able to frame it as the US bombing civilians. This is because the looting republican guard were often driving stolen vehicles and laden with loot, which made them look like refugees once the flesh and clothes were charred unrecognisably. Iirc there were also occupation functionaries and their families. Few if any true “civilians” imho)
how was Desert Storm a clusterfuck, the US dismantled the Iraqi military with minimal losses. from the build up through to cessation of active combat it lasted less than a year and the coalition suffered less than 10 times as many casualties as the Iraqis. it was arguably the best prosecuted war in post WW2 American history
the US military's problem is it is always being assigned political objectives when all it really excels at is destroying other militaries
>The average Russian is hyper-pessimistic and automatically assumes the government is lying
Of course they do, since many in the government are garden gnomes, they are also capable of the superpower of abstract thought. Thus when the government predicts the future, they are confused. >The irony of you barely sentient NPCs laughing at Russians
Russians are subhumans who have been ruled over by others for their entire history. First it was the Scythians, then the Norse, then the Mongols, then the Germans, and now the garden gnomes. They even recognized this, their greatest achievement in all Russian history happened when they begged the Swedish Rus to rule over them, because they knew they were incapable of doing it themselves. That is the peak, the absolute high point of Russian civilization, one brief singular moment of conscious thought.
>My man, that was literally a bunch of sandmorons
And? >oh they're inferior because they were using Russian equipment and are Iraqi
I'd wager they're probably a wrung or too above slavs. >If that's your biggest claim to fame in recent years
Your country would not even be able to handle the 1/100th the logistics of the Iraq war. It would break simply trying to get the equipment in place to stage it.
Yeah it's performative, but if the Pantsir is about 4 meters tall and the platform 8 meters, you gain about 4 miles in radius if a drone is coming in at 35 meters off the ground. Might not seem much, but if you want to the rings to touch (and even overlap a little) to get defensive coverage getting 4 miles for the price of mobik labor and some compacted dirt is better than nothing.
For the usual propagandistic photo op. The photo and footage of the AA installations will be shown on all russian media with the purpose of making the muscovite feeling safe and protected from the increasing drone attacks and avoid mass panic. The fire rises.
Why do they have to place vehicles in places they can't move?
Wouldn't it be better to have emplacements that can be transported with forklifts like common palettes?
>their empire
They are the slave caste and foreigners their rulers. Even their name indicates this. Russians are not Rus. Those are the people who ruled them.
You're talking about achievements of the USSR. The mighty puccian bear is not building fucking flak towers in Moscow in a war they thought would only take a few weeks tops. The cope is getting really fucking desperate.
omg why?
What is the point of these platforms, where it would be reasonable to make underground rapid deployment air defense mines that will be protected from drones, artillery and missiles
Hannah from Montana oblast, etc. etc.
Anyway, the new guy had no fuckups so far and is a watermelon seller, so maybe Papa Roach will gift something cool. Overall, he should be better than Reznikov, but we'll see soon enough.
>world's second army >invade poorest country in europe with negligible economic output >18 months later >captured 0 major objectives >must fortify your capital to protect from air raids
clown country
The 2 day operation to kyiv has devolved into developing air defenses for Moscow never seen in history because Ukrainians are bombing the living shit it of Moscow and Russians cant even slow them down
>500+ days since russia invaded ukraine in a 3 day operation >they are now building anti aircraft defenses in moscow to combat rampant ukrainian bombings
>tfw after the war Russia will claim they only had a small force of a few thousand men to save themselves the embarrassment of losing to a country with 1/4th of their population
You've mixed up vatmorons with the World Police. The Highway of Death is famous for being a military in full rout getting curbstomped into paste while trying to run away with their loot. There were no Iraqi civilians in Kuwait, only the invading military. No civilians were running away from Kuwait, only Iraqi military. With everything they tried to loot from Kuwait.
Vitalik?? I thought he was a billionaire.
Surely that Pantsir can be trolled into destroying its own Flaktturm.
How did they get it up there, and how are they getting it back down again?
A U-Crane
don't worry, it'll come down when it's bombed.
Its gonna come back down under its own power

Sorry, but they are. Russia has an absolute shitload of neighbors it can invade, including all the Baltics, Poland, Ukraine, Georgia, Armenia, the Stans, Mongolia, and so on. They even have a land border with and a train route into China (if they're serious about national suicide just by the possible sheer numbers of chinsect wave attacks).
That's not even getting into their "gas pipeline diplomacy" that they used to subvert Germany and Hungary.
It's a literal two-continent "region".
>Russia has an absolute shitload of neighbors it can invade, including all the Baltics, Poland, Ukraine, Georgia, Armenia, the Stans, Mongolia, and so on
The real question is if they can even successfully invade them let alone start an invasion in the first place
this war has gone on for nearly two years now and we have went from
>3 MORE DAYS XAXAXA
to
>AAAAAIIIIEEEE PUTIN-SAMA, THE DRONES ARE IN MY BACK YARD, SAVE MEEEEE!
How the fuck can these dumb retards ever redeem themselves after showing off the massive consistent logistical issues they have been putting on themselves this whole time?
>muttmuttmuttmuttmutt
look guys the indian moped is back
>I know it's a wild idea to you mutts living halfway across the globe from where you """""""""wage wars""""""""" but the distance from Ukraine to Russia is short enough for drones to reach it. It's also a wild idea to you that the enemy might actually be competent and have good weapons. It's not something anyone currently alive in muttland ever experienced.
This is just outlining all the reasons why Russia should have not invaded Ukraine, not a defense for their hasty and embarrassing measures due to their repeated failure.
They literally don't understand their "defense" of how the war's going just makes them look even more pathetic. Shame is something that vatniks don't have, in that sense I envy them.
>I know it's a wild idea to you mutts living halfway across the globe from where you """""""""wage wars""""""""" but the distance....
*still struggles to fuel the first months of the war while Americans in the middle east were chowing down on Burger King*
>I know it's a wild idea
the capital cities of G7 nations are bristling with defensive systems. smol shits getting through on a near-daily basis would cause utter political turmoil.
>bristling with defensive systems.
... one shortrange defensive system and that one SAM launcher is all that defends DC, other than interceptors.
(fixed typo: teleidoscope)
NCR-IADS and a million other things aren't "one shortrange defensive system and that one SAM launcher, other than interceptors"
the mutts practice cuas in large-scale exercises (apollyon 2020). the mutts procure sharks with friggin laser beams – teleidoscope, DIU 2023-08 [1] – just to put them on the roof and piss off pilots.
pretending that amerilards are in any way unprepared for, or unparanoid about, airspace incursions after 20 years of dicking around in the desert because of one is so incredibly ludicrous that if the poster's name were attached to the claim, they would lose all personal credibility forever.

why doesn't russia start wars on the other side of the world? whats stopping them? no one forced them to attack their neighbors.
>whats stopping them?
Their logistical capabilities.
I mean that parts true, does ignore the memetic Arab competency issues though
It’s not like Ukraine is any better in this regard. They were pretty much Iraq tier for most of their existence.
No it isn't outside of "larger military", the best AA iraq had was fucking SA-8, while Ukraine had dozens of S-300 systems, BUK, Tor, SA-13 and SA-8
You know, it's gayry like yours that prevents a calm, civilized discussion of such details. A discussion during which mistakes like the overestimation of the readiness or even the extend of their existence of some of the WMD Saddam had could be admitted.
But no, you had to be a fag, and with the extreme exaggeration in your lies you achieved the opposite of what you wanted.
here you go, fixed your post for you. No need to thank me.
>Hell, Saddam clearly had the advantage. Trust me, bro.
The 2003 invasion was hilariously undersized due to Rumsfeld era cuts.
148k Burgers, 50k Bongs, 2k Cunts and 200 Poles assisted by 70,000 Kurdish Peshmerga vs 538k active duty, 75k Republican Guard, 12k Golden Division and 30k Fedayeen
>and that's why he had the chemical, biological and radiological weapons
May I see them?
The Lion of Babylon did NOTHING WRONG
yeah but they're also arabs
And the Ukraines are Slavs, who are just as bad as Arabs.
Arabs are racially superior to Russians.
how?
they are even more subhuman
they brown and retarded
even russia relies upon iran for aid
iranians aren't arabs tho
retarded shitskins yes, but another kind
and russia doesn't represent slavs at all, they only have some patchwork language and some ukrainian culture, otherwise they are a mashup of some asiatic and turkic culture
>Iraq was better trained, more motivated than Ukraine did at the start of their invasions
Doubt it. Arabs are terrible at war, especially in terms of morale. Even Ukrainian civies were fighting off russhits, while all Arabs can do is to flee in any sketchy situation
that was back when the US could find enough recruits
flaktower bros, is it our time!?
Radio-guided bombs and planes with TV cameras did exist back then so PGMs would have been possible in theory for naval warfare.
source for this image?
That's a Flaktürme, I think one of those in Vienna. They were build so massively that demolishing them was too complicated and they just left them standing.
https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wiener_Flaktürme
Thanks anon. They looks like a Terror Drome.
>Planned
They planned the victory speech
Yes, this was very much planned. Do you think the torture cells and FSB infiltrating Ukraine was all just for a laugh?
>Do you think the torture cells and FSB infiltrating Ukraine was all just for a laugh?
yes
Russians will somehow claim is at "glorious victory" lmao
How did it go from
>"Keef in 3 days"
to
>"We need to protect our capital!!!"
Those aren't AD systems that would be better positioned near/at the front lines or at other strategic places, are they?
Moscow getting hit more frequently has greater consequences for Monke compared to 100k additional dead mobiks from bumfuck nowhere, Russia.
Pootin has to choose between protecting front, military bases at rear or capital.
You need to speak better english to post here
>the distance from Ukraine to Russia is short enough for drones to reach it.
So russians didn't know it before?
>Russians
>capable of abstract thought
lmao
>3 day special military operation is planned by Russians of above average intelligence
but what if enemy bombs us back?
>entire room is baffled at this officer of Germanic heritage
>slavicly stare dumbfounded at him
>what do you mean? Nobody is bombing Russia?
but they could if they wanted to, we are well within range, they could attack Moscow even
>but you see, they are not, what you are saying is untrue, can you provide proof that the enemy is bombing us, that they have attacked Moscow?
>continue in circles until the only one in the room capable of abstract thought is committed to a mental hospital for insanity
>Worrying about something that will never happen
Why?
You are a tard lmao.
Western pigdogs can not handle true eye brow raising that the USSR of the Russian Federation can dish out.
US forces first left Saudi Arabia on Feb 15th, on Feb 27th Sadam ordered a general retreat from Kuwait because his forces had been fucked
lmao
>US shitcans one of the largest and best equipped militaries on earth
>decades later slavic expert claims it was no big deal that America was able to curbstomp a country on the other side of the globe to save face
Some American commanders said the fights with the Republican guards in Kuwait city were more fierce than fighting the Vietnamese.
Tl;dr they were good but absolutely did retreat.
how was Desert Storm a clusterfuck, the US dismantled the Iraqi military with minimal losses. from the build up through to cessation of active combat it lasted less than a year and the coalition suffered less than 10 times as many casualties as the Iraqis. it was arguably the best prosecuted war in post WW2 American history
the US military's problem is it is always being assigned political objectives when all it really excels at is destroying other militaries
>coalition suffered less than 10 times as many casualties as the Iraqis
less than one tenth anon, less than on tenth
It would break simply trying to get the equipment in place to stage it.
what's the tactical advantage of putting your air defence on giant platforms for everyone to see?
Their engagement ceiling increases by 5m.
You get a more advantageous radar horizon.
I'm not sure eking out a few extra meters of elevation is really worth the cost. This just screams "Look, we're doing something!"
We're not laughing about how they installed it, we're laughing because they had to do it.
It also provides an optimally level and stable firing position for the guns with wider arcs / less terrain masking.
For the usual propagandistic photo op. The photo and footage of the AA installations will be shown on all russian media with the purpose of making the muscovite feeling safe and protected from the increasing drone attacks and avoid mass panic. The fire rises.
Radar and less terrian masking.
Anon, why is the radar pointing in the wrong direction?
Because he does it for free and edutainment
>you'll do well to stay out of trouble
the eyebrow rises, brother
The biggest Russian claim to fame also includes a highway of death interestingly enough
Why do they have to place vehicles in places they can't move?
Wouldn't it be better to have emplacements that can be transported with forklifts like common palettes?
Russia doesn't have the logistics to do that. Slapping them on the back of a UAZ truck is the best they can summon.
Dude, they used Pantsir without wheels on ships, it's their only small and mobile anti-aircraft platform
They also have the Tunguska and Tor
They call it the tunguska because of how it cooks off.
>spend garjoillions on making artic cable aa guns
>ship them to some flat lands in spring to get blown up
has to one of the top 5 stupidest things that happened in the last 2 years
>top 5
not even in the top 100 my friend
>forklifts
>pallets
UNKNOWN TECHNOLOGY
>That image
As was fortold so many years ago
I expect some people at Oerlikon played C&C in their youth.
brb installing.
>their empire
They are the slave caste and foreigners their rulers. Even their name indicates this. Russians are not Rus. Those are the people who ruled them.
You're talking about achievements of the USSR. The mighty puccian bear is not building fucking flak towers in Moscow in a war they thought would only take a few weeks tops. The cope is getting really fucking desperate.
>now building
>domesticity-designed cars
>Flakturms
the plural of Turm is Türme. Flaktürme.

>must fortify your capital to protect from air raids
clown country
So..
The 2 day operation to kyiv has devolved into developing air defenses for Moscow never seen in history because Ukrainians are bombing the living shit it of Moscow and Russians cant even slow them down
WTF is this.
they cant link them to proper high mast radar or something?
>500+ days since russia invaded ukraine in a 3 day operation
>they are now building anti aircraft defenses in moscow to combat rampant ukrainian bombings
>tfw after the war Russia will claim they only had a small force of a few thousand men to save themselves the embarrassment of losing to a country with 1/4th of their population
It's a nice try, but nobody can stop the drone.
where is the original from? i've seen it in a few contexts
I would also like to ask. Best I got is she looks like Remi from Touhou.
who is Ba and why are we mocking him?
>russians
>building
Low flying suicide copters...
Please...
>TRAVERS!
you should read a book.
That's not what happened in that picture.
Stupid Americans no understand this is for AA platform to do sick jump off ramp. Bitch.
