This is a defensive war for Ukraine. All they have to do to obtain a Decisive 'Win' is maintain their 2014 borders by the end of the conflict, with an Astounding Victory if they somehow manage to retake Crimea and the Donbas.
So far it's nothing but a Pyrrhic victory for Russia with massive losses, and that's only if a ceasefire is enacted tomorrow with the currently claimed borders in place.
Ukraine is not going to officially put a single foot on Russia since they don't want to escalate the conflict and all they're looking for is to get back their clay.
