The contracts with Russian ammo manufacturers will run out eventually, and there's no chance for reinstatement.
With that being said, who is going to pick up the demand for affordable steel cased ammo?
Is there a chance that one of the Russian companies will open a new plant in Eastern Europe?
Will another company rise up?
Good question. Keep the thread going.
Palmetto, the only ones who do make good AKs.
Have they mentioned anything about tooling up to make 7.62x39/5.45?
All I've seen is speculation.
pic unrelated
I think they had, but it won’t be the same as opening a can of old, corrosive of Russia’s best
they have on arfcom but it's going to take a while before they get to it
Now that true velocity got fricked out of ngsw we need to talk them into being the replacement for the missing cheap ammo
probably bulgaria or other intermediate countries.
the price will go up tho
Some of the cheapest x39 you can get already comes from Kyrgystan and Bulgaria now.
Source now anon
Hmm, some other stuff is a little cheaper today on ammoseek, but its kinda sketch (Russian underpressured partial reloads?, Tula). Otherwise, here:

GO is basically Arsenal import afaik
Serbian and Kazakhstan maybe probably. IIRC Wolf has ammo manufacturing there.
> Serbia
We already get Serbian 7.62x39 and it's not exactly cheap
> Kazakhstan
We already have mutual trade agreements with them that disallow arms imports I think
I thought Golden Tiger was Taiwanese.
Ngl, I like em mostly because they got a pretty box.
That's Wolf Gold 5.56. Golden Tiger is made by the Vympel in the state-owned Amur Cartridge plant.

Whoever replaces them, I hope they stick to using zoo animals kek.
>rainbow cougar
x39 with random color sealants
>turtle herd
subsonic x39
>spicy pike
7n6
Black ape
I would love rainbow colored lacquers and sealers, perfect for June and the average WBP owner
didn't romania have a huge ammunition export business during the cold war? What happened to that
Gypsies stole all the copper wire in the machines
PSA said like a year and a half ago that in 3 years they'll be set up for steel case production
Praise
I thought the USA had a good supply of WOLF ammo?
I know up here in Canada we cannot get anything either than NORINCO shit which may, or may not be corrosive.
they just banned wolf
Doesn’t PSA own ammo inc? Aren’t they producing 7.62x39 (somewhat) cheap?
>Russian companies will open a new plant in Eastern Europe?
where? Belarus?
Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan... Basically all the former Soviet republics that still have Russian speaking populations and business dealings with that aren't under sanction. Plenty of other options for Warsaw Pact calibers that don't come from CSTO members though. Notably Bulgaria, Romania, and Serbia.
Wolf is an American importer that sources their ammo from various factories around the globe, including Russia.
Ukraine. Romania. Poland….
i thought all those states were in russia
Ukraine's largest ammo manufacturer was the Lugansk Cartridge Works, which belongs to Russia now.
I know this is unrelated, but can someone riddle me this. I once house sat one weekend for an acquaintance. Long story short there was a break-in, i cleared the house with my AR15 and called the cops etc etc, nothing was stolen.
But he had me take his 2 ARs and keep them in my bedroom with me so they wouldnt get stolen. And i swear to god one of them.was chambered in 7.62x24 and he had a box of Golden Tiger 7.62x24mm for it
I know it wasnt 5.56, and it wasnt 7.62x51, it wasnt 7.62x39...so wtf was it /k/?? I would just ask him but we haven't spoke in years because im antisocial. I obviously dont remember it right, as no 7.62x24 exists. So what was it?? Its been my white whale for so long now
maybe 7.62x25 tokarev
7.62x25 Tokarev ARs were a thing when surplus was pretty cheap and available, never seen any golden tiger tokarev ammo, though.
Yeah
If it was a box of Golden Tiger but, not .223 or 7.62x39 I think that only leaves us with 5.45x39. A 5.45x39 upper would make sense.
Im not 100% sure on the second number, but i know the first one was 7.62. Because when i first saw it i chuckled about it being a x39 AR, then i noticed it was a caliber i had never seen before.
Could be. Hate to say i never even opened the box of shells to check out the rounds. It was all hectic with it being 3am and cops just leaving and having to be at work at 7.
Itll forever elude me im afraid
Maybe it was 7.62x35? (300 blackout)
7.62x40(?)Wilson Combat, pre-hamr?
Now, hear me out, lads, but ...
Mexico.
Some good ammo already comes from there, but some enterprising individuals who wanted to set up a great, legit export business from Mexico could do quite well. If a business strategy involved setting up several businesses to handle different aspects of the manufacture-to-supply chain, and those businesses were established in several countries ... The U.S. market is pretty hungry. Might as well build the factory nearby and shorten the supply chain. Invest in several profitable cartridge lines and dial in reliability, popular loads, accuracy/precision, bootstrap up with several cartridges, then expand into other calibres & loads as fast as possible. Sell in bulk boxes cheap in the U.S., also scope out overseas markets for opportunities. Good ammo cheap. Not good, cheap ammo.
Opportunity's a-knockin' boys.
