Yes, don't be shy. There are whole encampments of you guys where I live. There's a goodwill and walmart within walking distance, high traffic roads for you to panhandle, and enough heroin and meth to make Mitch Hedberg blush.

            >has anyone ever done this type of thing before?
yes. they're called hobos and tramps.
            hobos travel to work
            tramps travel
            bums do neither.
look up forest anon. go camping a few times for days at a time, then you will learn how to survive out there. what works and what doesn't. scout good places for water and sleeping.

OP, if you're actually a troony; you're not going to make it. you will either die or get a rude awakening to reality.

So many edgy homosexuals. Honestly if you’re at the point where you seek life advice from PrepHole you should just have a nice day and reroll, how embarrassing

      where? like florida?

Sure, why not. I don't know what your financial situation is but the west coast is a death sentence for the poor. democrat cities lure degenerates in with services and subsidies but it's a trap to destroy them.
From what I understand florida has no state income tax. This winter will be economically brutal, so going somewhere that already has 5 dollar gas and high taxes is a surefire way to frick yourself over. I'm planning on going west, but the difference is that i've spent 3 years and several thousand dollars converting a van, and even then I refuse to contend with the insanely high gas prices.
        Rent is even more insane.

Then go. But bring water. And have an escape plan. We don't want to read about you on 411

        Bro ignore this gay:

Then go. But bring water. And have an escape plan. We don't want to read about you on 411

There is plenty of water in the desert I just got back from there. There is little danger its not like there's bears there.
I just went from Sedona down to Alamogordo then on over to Carlsbad shit was cash. Lots of places to stop to get water and anyway I had a cell signal a lot of the time.
Just go bro people act like this is some kind of dangerous journey they been playing Oregon Trail too much bro this is 2022 you just about can't die from exposure anywhere in the US.

I mean, kind of. I went to an RV dealership, bought an RV, and got the frick away from everyone. 3 months later I got a job offer across the country, took it, and moved. 4 years later life is still pretty good.

Why don't you just get a job, move and rent somewhere far away?
I don't understand all these threads about running away to go live in the woods. It would be much easier just to get your shit together and move house?

I'm gonna use this thread to ask a question that's related to OP anyway. I have pretty much decided that I want to move out and get a job somewhere in rural Europe that lets me stay the frick out of the city. I used to have more urban-friendly aims and dreams but those have gradually eroded, etc etc. That's not important. The point is, I have never actually lived in rural places, all I know is small-medium cities.
What I want to know is... if there's some kind of hidden reality to this, like... Are the woods just a playground for rich people? Do you have to be actually rich to find a spot where people haven't trashed everything up... I know that in order to "enjoy the woods" you can just take your car and walk between the trees, but majority of the places here are trashed up or owned by someone. There's a whole lot going on that is making me think this whole environment can only be truly enjoyed by filthy rich people who buy themselves a chunk of land and play in it. I believe the majority of "bushcraft" youtubers are exactly that. I didn't choose this because of youtube bushcrafters, I want this because living in the city living a city life will drive me insane and I need to get back in touch with nature and manual labor.
Am I going to get swamped into a reality that is going to frick me in the ass? How do I avoid this sort of problem, if you are someone who lives in rural Europe (anywhere). Are there countries where there's a combination of laws/freedoms that make for an enjoyable experience to the common man rather than yacht owners with a gun?

There is no 'Rural europe'. The problem with having history is you have it all being used up. It's done. Gone. There's nothing. Scandinavia is close but it's scarce.
