Ruger Mark Aug Tatical

Have had my eye on this for a while now and was wondering if anyone had any experience with it? My goal would be to supress it so if anyone has any supressors or ammo reccomendations I would love your feedback.

It's my favorite plinker. Stay away from the 22/45 version if you want after market mods. I have a full sized and a chopped down one with a 1.2" barrel. It's stupid quiet and worth every penny

Tandemkross makes a pretty good range of aftermarket parts for the 22/45. I don't know how they stack up on quality compared to other manufacturers, but their stuff is certainly good enough for plinkers.

Their customer service annoyed the shit out of me

Aren't the triggers identical in the 22/45 and the regular mark versions? And other than replacing the bushing and the mag disconnect, what other mods would you be doing to the lower? Just curious.
I'm always been pretty happy with my stock 22/45 mark III. Only thing I did was change the front sight for a hiviz and the mag disconnect mod so they drop out. I've probably got at least 5,000 rounds through it and other than the total shit design for the take down, it is a damn near perfect plinker.

        Yes.
Only difference is the grips. Any other mod works just fine on the 22/45. I have no idea what that anon is going on about.

22/45 actually has a more robust aftermarket than the regular mk iv ime, but I have the mk iv target above.
On the lower besides all the trigger internals, I have a replacement safety, safety plunger, extended safety lever, and forward thumb rest. On other mk ivs i’ve also had extended magazine releases.
Basically with the mark iv you end up replacing all the parts and you have a volquartsen stock firearm at the end, except you bought it in installations and shot it the whole time.
that’s how I feel about it

oh, clearly I also have extended slide stop and what you don’t see on the inside besides the trigger and safety replacements is a stronger magazine eject spring

        what

I should have phrased that better, I've had a b***h of a time trying to find a grip laser for the 22/45 as there is no place for rails aside from the top.

That looks pretty neat. But no front sight? Is it more of a "quietly magdump *in the general vicinity* of trash" gun? Cool either way

Mine has a front sight, and it pretty much is. Trying to get a grip laser to work on it but no luck yet. Its a fun plinkee and is totally not for larping as Sylvester Stallone or Antonio Banderas in the movie Assassins.

I like the Deadair Mask for suppressed pistols and CCI clean 22 subsonic for ammo. CCI SV is also fine.

If you get one with a short enough barrel all ammo is subsonic. I’m a fan of the rugged oculus

I have one. I put a Deadair Mask on it which makes it real quite. I also run a Nikon red dot on it. Fun lil plinker, cheap to shoot

they're fantastic guns, great suppressor platforms, and the mark iv is a big improvement in terms of takedown vs the 3. at a minimum expect to replace the irons with something like fire sights if you aren't going to put an optic on the rail.

I finally got the G10’s for my MkII, look great. Mine is not tactical, aside from the night sights.

i saw one ruger mark cut that was pretty cool. they cut the barrel down but didnt thread it 1/2x28. instead they threaded the outside of the barrel so the suppressor threaded on directly.
