We can't supply T-64 spare parts and Russia has bombed the spare parts factory, so the only spares Ukraine is getting is liberated Russian tanks

Likewise western supplies of 125mm tank ammo won't last forever, best to transition the Ukrainians onto 120mm ASAP

You underestimate how many T-72 Urals, T-62s and even T-80s with some wiring left there are.
They might've eroded all of their 2000-2015 modernization efforts, but they've still got old ass shit.

Thousands upon thousands of their tanks only exist on paper, because they've been rusting away in the wilderness for decades, and most of them have likely also been looted or scavenged for parts.
The question is how many tanks were properly stored inside, which is very difficult to estimate.

You underestimate how hard it is to restart tanks after disrepair.
T72s with ancient engines will almost certainly not be combat ready.

Russia doesn't care about combat readiness. If it move good enough. If it can't move okay does the gun work? Good enough.

Literally no one except you is saying all of their tanks are destroyed you disingenuous homosexual. They lost a lot of tanks and they have some more left, albeit older models. Literally no one is debating this.

Russia lost 1600-2000 out of 3000-4000 working tanks they had working pre war. They started to pulling out of their deep storage in first month after they understood that war won't end quickly.

T72s with ancient engines will almost certainly not be combat ready.

they just take ten T-72 out of storage, pull out everything useful and get 2-3 working T-72, it doesn't matter if 7 engines don't work. They brought back 100-200 "working" tanks per months for 9 or 10 months now. Don't forget that Russians can make basic T-72B/3 in their factories without French thermals

250 new hulls per year, pre war and 600 modernisations per year pre war.

80% of the tanks used in the initial invasion are destroyed, visually. (So probably even more that are destroyed without photos) but Russia has (had) 4.2 times that number of tanks in total

They didn't have many to begin with lel. They got about 300-400 from the west from what they had around, and 500+ captured from Ruskies routing everywhere. Those things are still Russian tanks at the end of the day, and will get rekt like the 2k russian tanks that got destroyed the past year 🙂

Sending western tanks would ease the worries of them not running out of parts. Ukrainians have alot of tanks captured, but how many will actually be operational and in working conditions will depend on how they repair them and what available resources they have to do it. In some cases, they may use other tanks for spare parts.

War crimes literally don't matter to Russia, because it's not like Russia is going to get invaded and defeated, because of the nuclear threat. A victory simply means expelling Russians from Ukrainian soil.
Only Russian POWs might face charges, but obviously no one in Russia gives a shit about that, so they're pretty much free to do what they want.

      Anonymous

This is true, unfortunately. War crimes are only ever applied to countries or regimes that have already been destroyed, and even then the decision of whom to prosecute is EXTREMELY selective. Operation Paperclip an so on: if the individual is still valuable property to the winners, there will be no prosecution. That said, I think if there is a big time regime change in Moscow then every russian leader of the old regime involved in this war is going to run so fast to Israel to hide that they wont need any plane tickets.

Trial held, verdicts given, sentence carried out by drones.
And no, Russia is not invincible and immune to consequences of its actions. Threatening nukes will not undo international isolation or stop an invasion of thr West decides to stop tolerating the state's existence. Using nukes will only mean nukes are used in return.

When will America be prosecuted for the warcrimes committed in Iraq, Afghanistan, Serbia, Vietnam, Korea, Japan, Germany, France, etc etc?

They already persecuted people doing moronic shit. At least to some level. Tell me, which russian has been tried in russia for their crimes rather than relying on their enemies to do it? Why is russia actively encouraging people to commit those crimes? America's crimes is more isolated while russia is more systemic.
      >defending japan and serbia/iraq of all places
Those countries commited more warcrimes than anybody compared to america along with america giving them gibs and help in rebuilding their country. Whats the point of doing this whataboutism?

Mass rape, mass cleansing, inhumane treatments of civilians and POWs and etc. The serbs were the contenders when it comes to being barbarians when it comes to doing their war crimes. There were mass of corpses and women and children with the women having the cut off genitals of the children inside their mouths. The serbs were subhumans all around.

It's more people are unsympathetic. Russia is a poor fricking shithole by their own design. If they were a wealthy, democratic nation like the US, they could keep those close ties with Ukraine through mutual interest like they do with Canada. Instead, all they have to offer Ukraine was interference, corruption and authoritarianism and Ukrainian's wanted out. Fact is, this split up was always going to be messy because Putin has dreams about restoring "Glorious" Soviet Union and he will not let them go. He demands a sphere of influence but has nothing to offer it except the threat of violence. Frankly, the western world should stand against that sort of thing. No one likes a bully as internal and global opinions of the US's middle east adventurism show... and that was against authoritarians. Against democratic Ukraine... flawed as it is, the west has no fricking chill.
