The fucking nips are making SL Variant speedloaders now and The Wrapid Loader is in production again for the first time in 35 years and I had to find out about it from TFB? Anyone know anything about the people behind this outfit?
https://www.kaztac.com/
>$50 for a speedloader
Yeah fuck off
Poorfags need not reply. Epic shit is habbening in revolver land the last few years and you can't play if you can't pay.
Guaruntee a regular speedloader is faster than this nipshit. A regular speedloader probably has a longer service life too. Fuck off with your overpay to play bullshit. The only neat thing happening in revolver world is red dots, and that's fucken debateable.
I don't even know why you're here other than to be a total gay. If you were a revolver guy you'd get why this is cool. It has fuck all to do with practicality. Now fuck off back to whatever chud discord you came here from.
>I keep ten speedloaders in my asshole. It's tough to keep them from just falling out.
.be&t=240
>tough to keep them from just falling out
Work on your Kegels and tighten that sphincter up a bit. Maybe downsize your Bad Dragon to the next smaller model for regular sessions and keep your usual, larger toys for Special Occasions.
>I have no idea what greentext means, but I know a lot about shoving things up my ass
Go shill your retarded product elsewhere. On Reddit for example.
This looks awesome. I stumbled upon this website a few months ago and you reminded me of it.
We need more revolverbros and cool revolver things. Market’s too saturated with autoslop
If I needed "epic shit habbening" I wouldn't shoot an SAA clone. I have a semi auto for volume fire and fast reloads.
A semi auto pistol isn't epic shit lol. It's still just a handgun.
Nice reading comprehension, retard.
>epic shit
>speedloaders have an easy to use push button already
lmao lol even
I love all the fags who clearly don' understand why SL Variants are better than everything but maybe speedbeez. Speedbeez was really a reaction to when SL Variant production stopped.
im just glad variants is back
>Poorfags
I don't trust this design to not deform and break from any serious/fast use
That's how much a lot of speedloaders cost.
How much do sig or HK mags cost?
I will always appreciate new developments for revolvers, but has a point. A HKS speedloader in my little coin/watch pocket never gets in the way, and it costs less than $20. Good on these guys for bringing something new to the market, but I've been using the same thing for so long that I'll just stick with what I have.
you can fit an entire speedloader into one of those pockets?
Only if you're American.
Never buy a Browning rifle, you'll absolutely shit yourself at what they charge for mags.
>clips
where tf can I get this for .44 mag
You'd have to have your cylinder shaved down for clips and then you'd have to have some clips custom fabricated. Yes, it's a stupid idea.
Checked damn screw that. The hks ones dont work with my grips. Ill dig around for something else
You need to get these guys to make shit for N frames.
https://zetasix.com/
Yeah you want this style with the deep cutaway if you want to run speedloaders instead of strips.
TK Custom makes .44 Magnum moonclips, so no need for custom fabrication. You'll still need to get your cylinder cut for moonclips though.
M-O-O-N, that spells speed clips.
Laws, yes. Tom knows that.
What is this soluotion looking for a problem?
My point exactly
It sounds like a great idea. Flat profile when carrying it like a speed strip, but takes the form of the cylinder when deployed like a traditional speed loader. I have no idea how well it works in practice though
https://www.kaztac.com/
Has a video on how to use it. I like it. Makes reloads for concealed six shot fairly practical.
>Flat profile when carrying it like a speed strip
I mean, not if I need a huge fucking case to make it flat. I might as well carry a regular speed loader.
Even with the thick case it seems much thinner than a speed loader and would fit nicely into a front pants pocket. Personally I'd stick with a regular speedloader unless or until I'm convinced this weird one can be used reliably
The profile is larger and takes up more pocket space that my wallet, keys, phone, and revolver already claim.
Sadness
>pocket space
Imagine having that problem because you can't afford to wear suits like an actual man.
The big news in practicality is the SL Variant loaders being made again. They are the best speedloaders ever made. The wrapid loader thing is just some cool vintage nostalgia for enthusiasts.
Will the j frame 38 sl variants work with an lcr?
There is an adjustment screw that lets you adjust how far apart the bullets are spread, so yes it should work
I thought you were shitposting before I realized what thread I was in
>t. doesn't know about the screw that tightens shot groupings
NGMI
>problem

any other kinomaxxing tips for us revolverbros? I'm going to get checkered rosewood grips for my charter arms lennon remover
Is there a speed loader that can feed picrel
32k frame?
Those SL Variant loaders are slightly adjustable for different guns you'd have to see if any of them are close enough for your needs that it might adjust to work.
Aren't automatics faster to reload than revolvers? And they can hold more than 6 bullets at a time before reloading? Why not just get an automatic like a Degal?
Not if you were multiple speedloaders on your belt at all times and your name is Jerry
reloading is a meme.
Maybe im just dumb but how to you get the bullets to drop? Normal speed loaders have that button or pushing down to release. This doesnt seem to have anything and looks pretty secure. Do you just yank on it.
they're just clipped in, twist and they should come out.
i think you squeeze the loop, anon.
checked and
>who could be behind this?
The one they call "Rawhide Kobayashi"
You put the rounds in the chamber and then pull the ring tab. As the cylinder spins around the rounds pull off and shazam! you have reloaded. This is unlike other speedloaders where you have to hold the cylinder in place while you either twist a knob or push to release the rounds.
Let it rip.
Now that you mention it ...
I kind'a want to slip one nut each through one of those steel loops and walk around with my reload hidden away, swinging from my massive testicles. Nobody would be expecting that.
> massive testicles
i dont want to alarm you but you should probably have that checked out anon
Based Leon appreciator. It was a great movie and Stansfield (guy in the pic) was an amazing villain. Everything about the man was completely unhinged. Tan suit, constantly on drugs, murdered an entire family during an apartment raid with a stockless model 37, listens to Beethoven and Mozart, and carries a .44 magnum snub nose (see pic)
Why not just buy an HKS?
Those SL Variant speedloaders they sell(not the ring thingy in OP) have a spring that pushes the rounds out of the loader so you don't have to rely solely on gravity to propel the rounds into the chambers.
Because push-release is inherently better than twist-release
This. Also Safariland push-release speedloaders are $15.
I have a couple of those, they're the cheapest possible option and extremely stiff and slow to use. No one uses them in competition, everyone uses the billet aluminum ones since those are only like $10 more.
HKS loaders cost $10 (and are worth $2, if that), whereas you can buy pic rel for $25 which is an order of magnitude nicer. Or get a Speed Beez for $45 which is top-of-the-line and competition standard
Fourth for shitting on these. I don't have experience with any other speed loaders but that one's finicky. I had to sort though a box of ammo to find casings that would fall more freely, and even then it's clunky to use and I have to shake it a bit
I bought one for a 7 shot. Cracked the first time I dropped it on the ground, uutter garbage.
I've got like 3 of these bastards and all of them get hung up on the grips of my Python. The only speedloader I've found so far that doesn't do that is the safariland push-release. The SL Variant loaders on the website from the OP are (supposedly) a better version of the push-release design because each cartridge is loaded with spring assistance. Original design was made in Germany and I have no doubt those worked very well. The only question is whether the Japanese-made repros are as functional.
Slow but I like em.
Made some webms if anyone's interested
so the clips are angled for pulling it out the side, how very interesting and kino.
This is the dumbest shit I've ever seen. Revolver people who carry speedloaders thinking they're actually going to get into a situation where they would need to reload in a gunfight are delusional retards, and I say that as someone who owns over half a dozen revolvers and carries several of them frequently
yeah especially when it's taking up nearly the same space as just a second gun
>when it's taking up nearly the same space as just a second gun
Watch the video again, but with your eyes open this time.
He's talking about an actual speed loader not that ridiculous pressed stainless toy that would bend if you looked at it wrong. Imagine trying to use that piece of shit in a stressful situation
>Yank strip out of the holster too fast, rounds fly out in all directions
>Fumble to get the rounds in the cylinder due to floppy spring-loaded handle
>Have to move hand off of grip to properly release rounds into cylinder
>If the metal gets bent at all the loader will snag or hand onto the cartridge rims and fail to release, possibly causing you to drop the gun when trying to pull it off like a beyblade
Reloads are a meme for self defense. Only people worried about reloads are competition shooters and people paid to carry a gun who use handguns in offensive roles.
Active Self Protection's John talks about how often he sees a private citizen need a reload in the 40k+ defensive uses he's watched (spoiler, it's zero times) and does a little math to rationalize why he personally feels a reload isn't worth carrying.
>Reloads are a meme for self defense.
Absolutely untrue, especiallywith autoloaders. With autoloaders if your magazine fails you, or you inadvertently drop your magazine (which happens frequently in police shootings) a back up magazine is needed.
lol revolver chads keep winning.
Based Ed Lovette appreciator.
I read that book cover to cover and enjoyed it very much. It’s largely responsible for my current search for a snubby
Wow thats crazy that you can’t read.
Crazy that it never happens to competition shooters but it happens to cops all the time.
Competition shooters have way more reps and their adrenaline levels don't get anywhere near what cops are dealing with on the streets. Gun games and actual fighting is not comparable. That said autos are a liability for anyone not putting the reps in on malfunction remediation drills.
There's been like two spec op guys who have been in gunfights who have said they felt way more adrenaline and anxiety in shooting comps than in the real world. One of them stated it was because he knew everyone was watching him and expected him to be a good shooter since they knew he was a SEAL. The other didn't elaborate but I assume it's similar. And I believe them because I experienced something similar myself.
I felt way more stress/adrenaline dump in my first MMA fight than I did holding a knife wielding beaner at gunpoint in my yard at night. Had I needed to pull the trigger nothing about that night felt like I would have fallen apart due to adrenaline, I was pretty calm. Most cops are just bullied average Joe's who have never even been in a fist fight and don't train in any form of combat or shooting sport, let alone practical one's like USPSA/IPSC. So how they react in gunfights isn't how everyone else will. Which is why most (if not all) documented CCTV shootings involving trained individuals shooting muggers tend to go much better than the one's involving cops.
And let's be honest. 99% of these documented cases of civilians shooting muggers that go without a hitch, have never even heard of USPSA.
>There's been like two spec op guys who have been in gunfights who have said they felt way more adrenaline and anxiety in shooting comps than in the real world.
Probably because spec ops are uber trained and generally outmatch their opponents in combat. In competition they are up against actual competition as well as status and reputation among their peers. Whatever the reason cops are not spec ops and neither are you.
>I felt way more stress/adrenaline dump in my first MMA fight than I did holding a knife wielding beaner at gunpoint in my yard at night.
see you were cool when you had the advantage and less cool when the competition was more even in your mind.
Notice I said FIRST MMA fight. After the second and third I had no more adrenaline dumps. Also MMA fights aren't deadly (though accidents can happen in any sport). The thing is here a drugged out Hispanic with a knife a few yards from you yelling death threats is way more dangerous than a fight with a referee, rules, and medics on standby. Also I give credit to all those previous fights I've had in my sport for how relaxed I felt in that moment.
This is why I'm such a big proponent of stress inoculation through combat sports. Probably the closest you can get to working on not to spill your spaghetti than actually being in a real life and death confrontation. Because when you're half naked in front of a drunk crowd who's cheering for blood, while standing across another man who's been working out non-stop training to knock your block off, that's as close as you're gonna get to life and death stress scenarios. Not to mention the benefit of learning to control that adrenaline through the fight.
they will never become real samurai
You can just rack and shake if you get a stovepipe. Most of the time a new magazine isn't actually necessary to clear a malfunction, and you are testing the magazines in your carry gun, right?
Expertly-crafted bait.
with the holster yeah it's larger than lots of baby guns. you're not going to fit a second .357 or something in there but a backup backup sure.
One argument for carrying a revolver reload is that it's not about reloading during some extended gun battle but reloading after it's over so you are once again fully armed.
That's an argument for carrying loose rounds or a speed strip that take up less space and it doesn't matter how long it takes you to reload.
This loader, I get that they wanted it to be flat, but this shit looks like it's going to fall right the fuck apart when you need it the most. You're carrying a revolver already, you can carry a normal push-to-release speedloader that has one moving part and is made of two parts total. a speedloader isn't wider than a revolver, if you can conceal a revolver, you can conceal a speedloader that isn't made of an erector set.
It's a cool concept and if it was made by Germans or some shit I'd trust it. But chink repros of an old design... I wouldn't mess with it unless I bought a couple of them and did thousands of training/speed loads with them. Then sure, at that point I'd trust them. Only time will tell. Otherwise you're right. And most people carry small 5 to 6 shot revolvers, so regular speed loaders shouldn't be too much of an issue. I would have two 5 shot speed loaders intertwined with each other for a total of 10 rounds and it'd be as big and heavy as a 10 round Glock 26 mag I'd throw in a pocket.
>But chink repros
it's made in Japan
>they would need to reload in a gunfight are delusional retards,
Some people go outside and go hiking Mr.Sits at home all day.
I mean boar are enough of a fucking pain, never mind some stray dog, maybe people carrying pistols while hunting.
>I mean boar are enough of a fucking pain, never mind some stray dog
Do you get in gunfights with wild animals? That would be something to see
pitbulls with dracos are a menace out here in the hills
If anyone MIGHT have to reload in a gunfight it probably will be revolver fags. The real retards are people like you who carry a 17 round Glock and an extended mag in a magpouch
lol if you ever watch the cop bodycam vids they are constantly dropping full mags accidentally
Good thing I'm not a retarded cop who "qualifies" once a year then.
Very fixable problem. 2 options really
1. Cops should git gud
2. Start issuing pistols with the paddle style mag release. HK P30 for example, or VP9 if they absolutely must have strikershit
i'm content watching them spill their spaghetti
>If anyone MIGHT have to reload in a gunfight it probably will be revolver fags.
Statistically speaking, you can end all but a few in a million firefights (if they can be solved) with 12 rounds. 6 rounds will ''only'' solve everything but a few in a thousand. So, if you care for 99.x% of all cases, 6 rounds in a revolver is generally fine. If you care for 99.999x% of all cases, 12 will be fine. And yeah, a revolver needs a reload at that point.
It's almost as if competition shooters actually care about their gear.
I think competition shooters care more about their drilling, technique, skills, etc. Accidentally pressing down on the slide release or mag release and inducing malfunctions is the sure sign of a cop/tacticool type who relies on gear rather than training. If you've ever been to a joint tactical class that's full of Law Enforcement then you'd know these are the types to care more about their gear. They all have the latest and greatest holster and gadget, but can't draw and put one in the A zone under a second.
this kinda thinking just leads to the inevitable conclusion of "Why even carry a gun?" If this helps someone carry a gun more often then not, why shoot it down? We need more people carrying. More armed good people means less crime less violence and a more civil society.
I had a mental image of how it worked but having it curl up on being pulled out actually blew my mind.
>Thought they'd need to be rolled up
and the angle the clips face when pulling handle back straight is toward center of cylinder. very very clever.
Yeah I had the mental image of it working like starting a lawnmower for releasing the roundsit was the actual deployment from a flat strip to a speedloader that threw me off. Though that stage would involve having to curl it up and then insert them. Doing it in one pull is really neat.
>add your text here
>we want the beyblade audience
>be mugger
>approach local twink
>"gimme your wallet, pussyboy"
>pussyboy reaches into his little purse
>get ventilated by 6 rounds of .357
>lying on the ground in immense pain
>twink stands over me, calls cops
>last thing I see before passing out is him pulling out a weird metal thing and using it to reload his revolver like letting a beyblade rip
> speed loader
> nice and slow
Slow is smooth. Smooth is fast.
qt
Loading them seems tedious as fuck. I have a Speedbeez loader for my 617 and it's easy as hell to load with a loading block, this seems clumsy as fuck by comparison. Shame they didn't think that through...
>Shame they didn't think that through...
This shit was invented in the 80s by some autist. These guys making them now seem like revolver bros who wanted it for the memes. I think it's cool but I just carry two revolvers instead of reloads.
>Loading them seems tedious as fuck.
It takes him 16 seconds and he's doing it slow for the camera.
Thanks for webm-izing that. Very handy in my reference folder.
Why bother if I need a case?
>6 shot revolvers only
fuck me man as a 686+ owner I am always suffering
Can you accommodate clock wise rotating revolvers by switching the grab handles orientation?
Also I thought spinning your clyinder is bad? Is this fuddlore or real?
>Can you accommodate clock wise rotating revolvers by switching the grab handles orientation?
>Also I thought spinning your clyinder is bad? Is this fuddlore or real?
This may be the stupidest thing I read all week.
It doesn't matter which way the cylinder rotates WHEN IT'S OPEN.
Spinning the cylinder is fine, it just....spins...
spinning the cylinder when it's all locked up is bad, as does closing it while it's spinning
just letting it spin is fine, stop it before you close it (you need to touch it to close it anyway so it's fine)
revolver bros, should I start reloading 38 Special? Here's what I think I need, tell me if I'm missing anything
>Lee Loader in .38
>powder
>primers
>casings (already have some)
>bullets
and that's it, right?
I dunno what "Lee Loader" includes but for a basic bitch setup you need:
>reloading press
>powder measure
>powder scale
>calipers
>loading tray
>priming tool
>dies
>powder
>primers
>casings
>bullets
>loading manuals
Advanced level would include:
>case tumbler+media
>case trimmer
>case prep station
Not him but if you don't know what it does or doesn't include, why chime in moron?
Yes with those items and a lee loader you're good to go. But remember to follow the loading data instruction if you're gonna use the measuring cup included, unless you buy something else to measure the powder you'll have to adhere to the load data that comes with the loader (though I wouldn't really worry about it too much if youre using a 357 mag revolver to shoot 38 special out of)
>Not him but if you don't know what it does or doesn't include, why chime in moron?
Because I don't care what it includes. Nor am I gonna waste time looking it up. I can just lay out the basics you need and that fag can work it out for himself.
>Hehe I don't care what that anon is talking about I don't care trust me
>But let me lay out here all you need because I dont care
Chinese cartoon watcher and lack of self awareness go hand in hand.
dude, with a Lee Loader set, as far as I understand, you do not need a press and it comes with some tools, that's why I'm considering it to save money on ammo and I can do it in a small living space.
I'm going to be using a .38 (technically +p rated), but I figured on going with the loader's load data to start off with and buying the correct powder according to the loader.
I could also easily obtain a small scale and a reloading manual but to start off with I thought I'd do it as simply and cheaply as possible.
>t. gets his gun knowledge from YouTube
Go fuck yourself
I was reloading before the internet existed.
wtf how old are you that you were reloading in like the 70s? I assume you'd be in your 20s then, why would a 60+ year old be shitposting on PrepHole
Where should a based oldfag shitpost? Everything is comped(especially PrepHole).
>the 70s
When do you think the internet became a widely adopted thing?
he said before the internet existed, not before a billion jeets started posting on it.
he should post on arfcom, kek
plus if he is an oldfag he really ought to know what a Lee Loader is, anyway.
>he should post on arfcom
arfcom is mega comped since brownell's took it over. It's basically reddit at this point.
>he said before the internet existed
I've been reloading since 1776.
PrepHole unfortunately is one of the most active forums on the internet about guns and isn’t choked down by specific rules and admins.
Time. Lots of time.
well I spent the last, like, 4 hours watching CHiPs and Alf on TV so I definitely have time to spare. I think it'd be a fun activity to do with my hands while watching shows
>one cylinder isn't enough
ngmi
interesting, certainly unique
so what I'm hearing is I shouldn't get HKS speedloaders for my .38?
The HKS speedloaders are fine. The people complaining about them haven't put them time in to practice and get good with them.
>The HKS speedloaders are fine.
I mean it works but it's so cheap and unrefined. SL Variants and Speedbeez are superior in every way. It's cool if you don't want to pay $50 for a speedloader but you're not getting teh features of a $50 speedloader when you buy an HKS.
There's nothing inherently wrong with HKS speedloaders, they just don't work for my revolver. See
. It's good that they're cheap and available, I just wish they worked for me.
oops, meant to respond to
see
>speedloader :-
>speedloader, Japan :-O
I carry 2 of them almost everyday. So far they fit all of my 6 shooters, including 4 that are not listed in the description.
the SL variants, or the wrapids?
Speed Beez (nutz)
that looks kino as fuck
cool. glad someone picked up that design. shame they dont have N-frame loaders.
I just purchased a cheap little charter arms snub nose. I’m gonna get me one of those SL variants for it. Thanks OP!
