It depends. If it's a flashy shiny finish like in OP, then no rails.
If it's a more durable hard-wearing finish like then I want a top rail for mounting dots or maybe even scopes, though admittedly I have no idea if there are mounts that would fit a pistol scope and the Desert Eagle's top rail.
No prob anon, here's another one of them, i wish more people knew about vintage accessories like this

markings might help
it was available from Magnum Research for awhile, it trues up the Desert Eagle rail to common scope mounts. I have one for my gun but I haven’t chosen which barrel to sacrifice for semi-permanent rail mounting, as besides the hex screws in the rail, it has roll pins that go through the rail mount points, and all that scratches the fuck out of the finish.
Leupold FX-II seems to work just fine with this setup. It’s not true to the scope the rail in this photo, canted reticle.
I would lean on the barrel that shoots the more expensive caliber, since you'd want to make shots count more with it, though maybe you just enjoy shooting .44 and .357 more.
Yes.
The pre '98 Saco made in USA were kinda trash. When they went to IMI (modern day IWI), there were tolerance revisions and tooling upgrades. It was a far better gun in every aspect.
The modern day desert eagles made in the USA had some further updates and changes to make the pistol easier to manufacturer.
The IMI desert eagles are considered the most desirable because they are rarer and are made by an experienced military small arms manufacturer.
I'd probably buy one if they came in 10mm with 10+ round magazines and an adjustable gas block.
I love pistol shooting and I love big handguns, but the desert eagle is an auto loader which either fires unobtainium or rimmed revolver rounds.
Let's be honest here, a Deagle is there just for meme shit on private ranges. It's main target is and has always been discarded household appliances and discount soda bottles. You're not gonna be min-max your attachments for maximum operator status on the thing. So you have two options: top is to go no rail, with second place being top rail. And the only reason you'd probably take the top rail is to attach a comically large optic to it so you and your buds can have a laugh lobbing oversized, overpriced rounds at a broken washing machine from a stupid distance away.
Even though you’ll probably have to get the top railed version because that’s all they produce nowadays, be aware the rail doesn’t fit all optics, it’s due to the shape of the rail itself.
They're lasers built specifically for the desert eagle and distributed by magnum research itself in the early 90s, from what i've managed to dig up there's around four patterns and they're all extremely rare
I'm meeting with a master machinist next week on how to get the normal desert eagle barrel to accept a suppressor. people have said it's impossible, which means I have to try.
No rail on a deagle
No rail. They're not practical so get the cleanest looking one.
No rail > rail on top > 2 rails

You’d need to get the rail mount seen here

no rail and then you tap it for scope rings
"No-rail" is actually a weaver rail
What this anon said. But regardless the Weaver rail is still the best choice.
This but no rail on top. Deagles are fucking impractical, but fun. Might as well make it look fun too.
I love the top left one bcuz it's gold
2 rails and put a vertical foregrip on it
No rail Mark XIX is king. Israeli made deagles are fucking quality.
>Israeli made deagles are fucking quality.
do you actually know if theres a difference in quality
Yes.

Picking up the newest version of the top right soon, got 8 boxes of 50ae ready to go, excited for some fun
I'd probably buy one if they came in 10mm with 10+ round magazines and an adjustable gas block.

no rail, black, with some finish patina, is peak pistol aesthetic
i prefer no sawtooth rail but if im gonna do it it may as well be on the top and bottom
No rail, smooth and gold.
Nobody buys DE for practicality, so why ruin it with rails.
rail on top, even though it looks better without it, a scope or RDS is so much fun on deagles.

unless the rails are for attaching additional deagles you don't need em
The two-rail versions are cancer.
Top rail tempts me
Even though you’ll probably have to get the top railed version because that’s all they produce nowadays, be aware the rail doesn’t fit all optics, it’s due to the shape of the rail itself.
Nice way to scratch up your gold finish.
based retard. who knows, maybe it'll survive.
No rail. Rails are ugly.
Two rails. That's the coolest one.
14" barrel > normal barrel
I would have moved front sight far back , you know , for "reasons".
classic laser > rail laser
what's the name of that laser? can't find it
They're lasers built specifically for the desert eagle and distributed by magnum research itself in the early 90s, from what i've managed to dig up there's around four patterns and they're all extremely rare
Ahhh jeez, this is going to be really hard to find. Thanks anon

That rail extender is slick.

I have one with no rail and I would actually like to have one so
Rail on top
markings might help
and the one on this one is a model i have no idea of.
Is there no bottom rail only option?
No rail. Rails are ugly
Rails all over. Such a ridiculous gun deserves some over-the-top attachments. Also a compensator, and a mag extender if there is one.
