Realistically, how long would it take to get the average American battle ready if they were drafted for WW3?

Realistically, how long would it take to get the average American battle ready if they were drafted for WW3?

How many could be ready to go in even six months?

During a a mass mobilization in the face of an existential threat there would be more than enough men of military age. The US is set up so that the National Guard can serve as a pre-made organization to help intake and train draftees. The US TRADOC has plenty of resources and institutional knowledge to bring to bear on the situation.
Anyone betting against the US is a sucker.

I went from not being able to run a mile to doing one in less than 6 minutes at the age of 22. I didn't even try that hard. with a strict PT regimen most people could probably do faster. unless you are a champaign socialist like your op, most people actually aren't THAT far from fitness. they are just too lazy

the average American male has a BMI of almost 29 and weighs 200 pounds at about 5'9"
IOT bring them down to a normal BMI they would have to lose 30 pounds. Not all of this weight is fat, so you can easily get them into a decent physical condition as a starting point in 3 months or less. Add on another 2 months for basic training-- going by army standards-- and another 2-3 months for infantry training, and you have a reasonably well trained fighter within 7-8 months at the longest.
Realistically, you could and should be able to consolidate the first two phases into one 4 month phase and get the infantry training done in 2 months, being generous.
IIRC during Vietnam, Marine Corps basic was shortened from 13 weeks to 8, and they skipped the SOI phase entirely. The average young man was more fit at the time, so maybe keep it at a 13 week minimum to take the average male and turn them into a competent fighter

4 weeks. Most of which involves far more logistics and operational planning than ordering room temp IQ draftees to run around the army base every day.
for better trained troops, 8-10 weeks, but you can do that after the initial mobilization
The singlest most important factor to successful mobilization is a large number of career NCOs. If your army has more career officers than career NCOs, you will fail.

Officers are the reason why NCOs exist.

For a start, this doesn’t mean what it used to anymore. There’s a big difference between white, god fearing, corn fed Americans being whipped into a frenzy by their ~~*priests*~~ and the ~~*media*~~

    And

Pfc. Henry Juan Sanchez Shandarious Jackson Washington III.

“Competency crisis” is their Spinword for “Brown subhumans are less effective in coordinated and individual efforts than the whites they are replacing”.

      >How effective is the Mexican military?
The Mexican military is intentionally kneecapped by the Mexican government. Research as shown that for a country as big and resource-rich as Mexico, it should have a military the size of France's instead of being pitifully small. And from what some mexibros have said here and on /int/, they believe it's purposely kept small because ever since the Mexican Revolution happened, the government is terrified that the army if it had enough popular support would overthrow the government but is too small to be able to do it.

A larger military could easily fix the narcostate problem in the north. Every time the Mexican military actually DOES engage the cartels in open battle, the cartels get slaughtered and are forced to go underground.

Forgot to say that Mexico is one of the only LatAm countries that has gone a full century without a military dictatorship, and that's at least partially because the military isn't big enough to do it.

I honestly dont think it'd be as hard as youd think. Most young people in my area arent over weight or not very over weight. Most people within draft age are either skinnyfat, twigs, average, or go to the gym a few times a week. Theres not really a lot of fatties around me within draft age, its not until like early 30s that people tend to get fat. Mentally tho, Youd have to take add anxiety and a lot of other shit out of being 4f, but even thats kinda over stated. I think patriotism and gayry would be the largest hurtles

Most fat people are only fat because they are sedentary. Given a rigorous enough training regimen, you can get basically anyone to a healthy weight in 3 months. And that's more than enough time for a decent basic training.
Some WILL die of heart failure, and most WILL regain the weight once they become inactive again, but it's entirely doable.

honestly not that many, only the freak underlying heart problems and the ones so far gone they'd probably be passed over for recruitment.

World War III wouldn't last long enough for a draft bill to even make it to a Congressional vote. Either the Russians and Chinese would be militarily obliterated by conventional means or they would flip over the table and resort to nuclear weapons, in which case, enacting a draft would be a moot point.

I suspect it would take bit over year to train average 'murrican into a soldier. Training would take few month less than that, but you would get lot of blobs of lard into at least some kind of physical shape other than blob of lard prior to training.

Damn that boi is thicc, he can sit this one out as a spectator. It's a really a small percentage of the population that actually fights the wars when you think about it.

He would be better off producing react vids to Telegram clips of Greg from Ohio blasting UN helicopters in the Cuyahoga Valley with a Javelin he looted from the last night raid on government occupation forces.
