Real reason the Russians are getting fricked is the VULCANO ammo.

6 inch CEP
140km range
The panzer 2000 and similar fire a sustainable 900 VULCANO shells/hour and has counter battery fire radar.

Completely wrecks Russian arty which can't handle the range and the precision.

Non atcmas Himars has lower range than Vulcano, only has 6 missiles, worse CEP, far more expensive.

The real difference is the VULCANO 155mm rounds that can be fired by just about all modern Nato cannon tubes.

HIMARS are good and make a much bigger boom than a Vulcano but the sheer numbers of Vulcano compatibile platform make it the silent MVP together with a couple more similar high precision 155m rounds.

That's cool, but there isn't a single proof of Vulcan being in Ukraine

IMO Ukrainians were firing GPS guided 152mm and 155mm round which were controlled by US operations in the early part of the war which is why the arty was so insanely accurate
There are vids of 6 rounds landing and 5 of them hitting AFVs

Those were laser guided kvitnik shells. They ran out if them

It's not exactly a cutting edge tech, and ukrainie was a major centre of Soviet weapons industry

            >not exactly a cutting edge tech
and yet so rarely seen in militaries worldwide

anyway, I'm just sayin', I don't see Ukrainian indigenous weapons as being significantly better than Russian, unlike NATO weapons

Ukraine had many good prototypes before the war they didn't get to introduce into serial production. Vilha MLRS, 52cal 155mm howitzer, T-84

Not significantly better than Russian ones IMO

Guided long range artillery is actually a pretty hot thing that a lot of people are working on. It isn't rare. Vulcano is kinda neat for going in on range while Excalibur focused in on seeker sophistication and submunition payloads, but the XM1113 round they're developing for ERCA will probably match or exceed it considering that plain jane Excalibur out of those guns did ~70km and the new rocket round is supposed to double Excalibur's reach.

Either way I haven't seen where UAF has recieved so uch Vulcano for it to be used that way. Until the flow of GMLRS clams up it's not like it's desperately needed.

                >It isn't rare
                It's rare in deployment

Rare compared to what? Between BONUS, SMArt 155 (dumb name), and Excalibur, there are several nations that have been operating them for close to or more than a decade.

how many nations the size of Ukraine design, manufacture and deploy their own guided howitzer shells?

Well Israel has TopGun nose kits, Korea is working on the 155mm version of that APA round, I think Turkey is also working on one, and Rheinmetall-Denel has their Assegai VLAP shell. But that's moving the goalposts away from my point. It's not really rare at all.

The Ukrainians had been retrofitting their 152s to 155s in the 8 years leading up, they probably got a shit load of Excaliber rounds

I don't believe for a second the Ukie/Russian made laser guided rounds were that effective

With a total supply of 280 rounds, this is going to be a very short hour. They are effectively being field tested.

Is this really what the vatnik shill corps is reduced to? False flagging as shills for wstern weapons on a Burmese kitten caption board isn't going to lead to a Ukraine/NATO split that shuts off the flow of Western arms. Dumb idea.

HIMARS is absolutely causing some butthurt. Glad it performed so well and these Vulcans rounds did nothing.
