Unfortunately I haven't spent enough time in the bush to test my gear. I've been on 100km hikes a couple of times without issues apart from weight (carried army shit that you dont need for the purposes of simply hiking) and not enough water (thought I'd live on 2L of water on a 25km 40C degree day

Anons. i believe, based on years of research, studying, and mistakes that I may have just perfected my gear. Any critics?

OP here. I may have forgotten a couple things here and there. and of course I wouldn't carry all of this in my 5.11 45L pack, but keep it around just in case. Also I'm aware taht I betray the greyman method taht I respect so much. But I don't think going innawoods with cotton jeans and sneakers is the best idea.

You have got me there. Will go on long-term solo camping in the future. Are you saying that alkl the theory and little practice I have are invalid?

You're better off with something like an Oneida Phoenix and just carry it. It can at least take down big game the survival bow is a bit of a gimmick.

I wanted something concealable and simple. Compound bows need special tools to dissasemble and repair, something I could nto afford to carry. My bow's 50lbs, probably kill a bear. It's all just about unfolding it and hooking up the string

This, just go out in the woods with what you're wearing right now. Don't even bring water. You're not going to fricking die

I know. But my whole minimalist life revolves around tactical / survival items, a lot of these items I use in everyday life. Winter here goes down to -30C. Cold is no joke, I don't care what anhyone says I'm packing three diffrerent heat items even in summer. I froze nights and spat blood mornings.

Nice kit, but I'd prefer long lasting canteen and cup with fire than filtration systems, and something sturdier than a hultafors bushcraft knife. As for the saw, I have the same one but selling it because hatchets can do all a saw can and more except for clean cuts

Well a stainless canteen and a tarp with a lighter or two is kind of expected to be part of any outdoorsman. The rest is kind of larp really unless you want to actually live off grid then any heavy piece of shit steel and thick canvas would be better than the ultra light crap anyways. Also don't underestimate budget craftsman tools like moras and hultas they can easily outlast a knive 10x the price. It's a consoomer mentality to think expensive=better, old school thrift store tool could last you a lifetime. So far I see someone who is larping especially if you prefer a hatched for a saw task, why not carry both?

          >live off grid
THis is what I focused on. My gear can be used for any situation, any time period, any place except deserts. All I wear, carry and own revolvesa round this because why not, I dont wear cargo pants and combat boots everywhere, look like a plainsclothes cop at worst. All my gear is high quality, long-lasting and tough, Used to be tank-tough but it got heavy. Knowledge-wise I know just about everything needed except for plant recognition and advanced hunting methods. I dont underestimate moras but i wanted my knives to be able to manage various tasks (even cutting wood if necessary) so i got drop froged cold steels, good, easy to sharpen steel in one piece. I prefer a hatchet because it does more and i dont want to carry both. lighter = better, the point here is taht your gear should manage the tasks of multiple items. 45L pack is already too much, cant carry my home in my back itll kill me.

The idea here is undefined term innawoods and possibly settling in a well-made shelter, anything less than that I can do with waht i have

Well having off grid capability in a 45L pack is a bit of a stretch but if you manage post some vlogs or something also double check the plants you eat and avoid abandoned buses.

Theoretically I'd also carry a wheeled transport bag but I want to go greyman as much as possible. Would be tough when SHTF. I have to learn plants, clouds, advanced navigation and hunting, and which animal meats to avoid

Proenneke had a full set of carpentry tools and traps and weapons with plenty ammo and clothing and fishing gear etc. I bet he filled his entire canoe when he started building his cabin. Would be interesting to see someone going with less and be successful.

Another reason I got a bow (apart from fricked up gun laws) is that arrows can be crafted without too much trouble as opposed to cartridges. My takedown bow is a steel body with two foldable limbs and a string. All my gear fulffils multiple tasks. I emphasized on shelter and food acquisition. I'm telling you, cold is no joke, and heat will take you down. Fires are not guaranteed. Never packing light again

Best of luck to you, If I personally ever went of grid it would be in a warm balanced place, mostly for enjoyment reasons. There would be no one there to brag about my mad cold weather survival skills while getting frostbit.

If I were to get a handgun in my c**t, glowBlack folk would spy on me and harass my neighbors. And I can't use it basically. To get a rifle I'd have to join a hunting club, and most likely keep it in their safe. Yeah, it is what it is.

And bows can give more shots than a cartridge. And you can make more shots. And my bow doesn't need cleaning oiling or spare parts apart from string.

What do you need a huge heavy ass bowie knife AND chink shovel AND the axe for? You could easily replace all three with Cold Steel Spetznaz shovel or an original fixed handle Russian e-tool. They have sharpened edges and moonlight as hatchets, in addition to digging. They work great as a weapon, but wont be recognized as such by most normies. Hard to break, handle is easily replaceable in the field. Medium sized hunting knife that you already have and a fixed shovel will weight less and do the same.
If you really insist on bow for the long term use, then 5 arrows is too few, breaking them or losing in thick vegetation is common during hunting. Better to have stashed more.
IMHO, Goretex boots are mostly a meme. Suck in the warmer weather, and when its really wet and cold they almost always soak through and are hard to dry in the field. Better to have comfortable non membrane boots, natural leather can be impregnated with mink grease. Gaiters are good thing to have during wet autumns and snowy winters. If you expect really long hikes through wet vegetation, snow, or frequently crossing the streams, then wellingtons (with fleece insulation sock for wintertime) are mandatory. Modern ones made from EVA foam are comfortable and light enough to be carried fastened to the backpack in addition to your basic boots. But I suppose they are not as cool as knives and molle pouches, kek.

    >Cold Steel
Trash materials, trash treatment, trash product.
    >Leatherman Wave
Actually decent, but one with a T-shank adapter is even better. Still, you didn't frick this one up.
    >Westwing
Hollow handle, does not frick. Cannot replace handle, meaning it's a consumable tool. No tool should be consumable.
    >LE SURVIVAL SHOVEL
Stop. Absolutely fricking stop. It will absolutely shit the bed the moment you need to use it for any actual purpose. If you absolutely need multiple tool capability, look up the MAX tool, aka the HMMWV Recovery Tool.
    >Whatever the frick that compass is
For what purpose? If you're doing actual navigation, get a lensatic compass and don't skimp, but you're either trolling hard are you're fricking serious, in which case you need to take an orienteering course, because any compass is only marginally useful if you don't have corresponding topo maps and the ability to land nav.
    >More Chinese stuff
I mean, whatever. Binos aren't a terribly big deal, but better prisms will be nicer.
    >The worst of all backpackable takedown bows
SAS makes an ACTUAL takedown recurve that's far better. Alternatively, get the original concept which is now only available with clones, that have an arrow shelf. Either way, flat limb bows fricking suck, but a shelf is always ideal.
    >Goretex boots
For warm environments this is bad. Goretex can be good, but also have non-Goretex boots.
    >"Kevlar" lined gloves
For what actual purpose besides making sure your fingers are constantly swimming in sweat?
    >More cold weather stuff
If you live in a perpetually cold area these all make much more sense.
    >5.11 clothes
Could do better, but could also do much worse.
What you have perfected is the Mall Ninja special. This is, with some few exceptions, what /k/ generally thinks of when they think of CoDkiddies with access to an airsoft store. It is the most stereotypical notion of shitty products with good marketing.
