Would R6S be a useful tool in for wargaming/learning CQB? There are obviously some unrealistic aspects to the game, but perhaps there are some ideas or tactics that could be translated into real world use-cases
For example:
>You're building your home with defense in mind. In R6S, players often abuse low-bullet resistant walls to "wall-bang" or create new angles by destroying sections of the wall. With that in mind, you use cinder-blocks and rebar with steel framing for the majority of your construction, and fill the spaces inside the cinderblocks with sand/debris to reduce bullet penetration as much as possible.
>In R6S, players use the cameras with they are connected to to gather information about the attacking teams forces and weaponry. So, you wire up several CCTV cameras to the outside, inside, important chokes, and fatal funnels on your property and in your home. Each camera is connected to a terminal in your home which is streamed to your smart device. Suppose the alphabet men come knocking on your door, you know have complete knowledge of their numbers and locations on a device which let's you view and flip through the cameras while on the move.
R6 siege is gay af
No also the game sucks and muh Tom Clancy neglect to mention that he was a sellout
No
Next slide
need caveria gf
Siege hasn’t been worth a shit in 4-5 years and is still not even close to how actual weapons work.
same
r6s is a game ruined by the season/pass scheme and has gone from a grounded tactical shooter to literally overwatch but with a thin veneer of tactical bullshit because of the gay gimmicks
imagine being part of the elite international special operations team and they call you fricking lesion lmao
>launch operator
He's an SAS member with a gasmask. He's named sledge, his ability is to smash things with a sledgehammer.
>Modern operator
She's an albino clone from the moon. She wears a skin tight space suit, her name is coldsteel. Her ability is to summon a nanobot swarm
What the frick went wrong
The Polish operators were the turning point.
>Women
writers
Yes
I played siege for a while in the beginning but stopped because it was just too arcady and unrealistic. I went to check their website because I thought you were full of shit. I just wanna puke now... wtf is wrong with these people
Isn’t this the game that started as a counterstrike clone and became transvestite diversity simulator in a counter terrorist setting?
yes, also microtransactions everywhere
AND WHY THE FRICK DOES THE NORWEGIAN OPERATOR HAVE AN AK-200 SHIT MAKES NO SENSE
You could come to the entirely reasonable conclusion of hardening the structure of your home and installing CCTV without needing videogame bullshit to give you the idea.
Yeah
no use that not-SWAT4 that came out
Siege is an actually dogshit shooter that barely remembered it's roots at launch, and slowly grew ever-more detached as the "seasons" progressed and increasingly moronic, wholly unrealistic operators were added, while also using weapons that made zero sense for their supposed home unit. It has less than zero utility in getting an idea of anything realistically applicable to CQC movement and action.
It's also made ever worse by the blue-haired feminist writers turning it into a diversity and inclusion toilet. The obesity in picrel is supposed to be an SAS-R operator. SAS-R, anon. There's a literally blue-haired, frail Polish club/street girl that's supposed to be in fricking GROM.
Also any tactical shooter in current year working off pure and only hitscan bullet mechanics is moronic. Hitscan for close range with (good) projectile physics after a certain distance is at least reasonable and can be seamlessly workable and enjoyable (Insurgency: Sandstorm does this very, very well).
I forgot picrel. Here's Australia's biggest operator.
>Also any tactical shooter in current year working off pure and only hitscan bullet mechanics is moronic.
Relatively few shooters are working with ranges where time to target is relevant, and even fewer are at the level where adjusting for range is relevant. I can't remember the last time I had a proper engagement at more than 200m in a game.
I unironically think Tarkov would be far better.
old Siege? Maybe.
nu Siege? No.
