    >How would you respond?
I wouldn't respond at all. I don't answer my door for anyone unless I am expecting company that I know. If there is a knock at my door, I don't even go to the door to see who it is, no matter how hard they knock or how many times. I wouldn't even talk to law enforcement through a closed door.

Don't open your door. There is a good chance they'll be accompanied by local LEOs. There will most likely be at least 2 people at your door but perhaps, if accompanied by local police, there could be 3 to 5 more, for a total of 5 to 7. Don't be intimidated. Even if they knock for an hour, just let them keep knocking and don't respond. They will most likely leave a business card. Contact a firearms attorney and have them contact the ATF/FBI on your behalf.

Remember, anything you say can be used against you in court. Nothing your attorney says on your behalf can be used against you in court. Even if you don't think it's a big deal you should still contact an attorney. It may not be a big deal but your own words might turn it into one. And you're messing with a lot of laws that carry a mandatory 10 in a federal prison. And if it is a big deal then your attorney speaking on your behalf can keep you from saying something that may inadvertently invalidate a future legal defense.

Federal investigators as the cream of the crop when it comes to detectives. They are usually much more professional than local police detectives. Feds will disarm you with friendliness. They'll make you think they don't want to be there and that they understand where you're coming from and that they'll can probably just let it slide. It's all bullshit. They are working you to get you to answer questions in very specific ways in order to build a stronger case against you. So don't think you're going to talk them out of it or outsmart them. Just don't fricking talk to them at all.

Adding to this do not open a window or open blinds. Stay hidden in your house. They can claim they saw, heard, or smelt something and force themselves inside.

Do not say anything except to ask if they have a warrant. Just record everything while staying silent, now is the time to invest in outdoor cameras.

If you have illegal stuff, be mindful that they might be watching your house. Dumping things has now become increasingly difficult, but not impossible. Having a torch in the garage that can melt metal might be a good investment.

lol you fricked up now. Every vid related is gonna come out of the woodwork and call you a pussy. Just let them: liveleak could use more content, and those useless eaters need to darwinate themselves so they stop taking up resources from more functional members of society.

Literally this. I've had b***hy downstairs neighbors call the cops on me for flushing the toilet (this was in the police report). When the police showed up I'd open the window say what the hell to you want. They always immediately ask to enter, to which I reply frick off and shut window. They can't do shit unless they have witnessed a crime or have a warrant

I'm not American. But I've always found it odd that Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms get grouped together.
What did they mean by this? Is it about how lethal each is considered in civilian hands?
I mean alcohol and tobacco make sense being grouped, but why is firearms in there?

it's like how vice cops are focused on drugs and prostitution and such. usually interrelated, so might as well be grouped together.

I'd let him in and show him the .32 Southern Mountain Rifle that I'm working on. If he seems cool I'd probably try to casually get his phone number so we can hang out later.
