Yeah, for a lot of people it does.
Your brain and eyes are fricking amazing, stereopsis is outright a cheat. You can train it, teach your brain to properly fuse the images and discard the worthless information.
US names them after roles (F-fighter, C-cargo, B-bomber, etc)
Russia names them after the design bureau/company that made it (Mikoyan, Sukhoi, etc)
As for numbers I really can't say how or why they're picked exactly. I know that the US will trial multiple planes for the same role (YF-21 vs YF-22, which won) which is why some are skipped over. However, that doesn't explain why there was a jump all the way from F-22 all the way to F-35.
Likewise with the Russians- though in that case as far as I know they tend to make even-numbered planes muliseat models (Su-30, Su-34). This doesn't explain why Sukhoi skipped from the Su-35 (really just an updated Su-27) to the Su-47 experimental plane, all the way to the Su-57. Maybe 57 because it's supposedly 5th gen?
a plain unmarked carbine buffer. you swap it out to and start fricking around with heavier buffer when that stops working cause you changed out other factors like added a suppressor or ammo.
that unmarked generic is perfectly adequate for a semi auto ar. people have it in their heads that they need to swap things out immediately and that whatever they changed is an upgrade this is wrong. if the unmarked generic was so horrible it wouldnt be the default on the majority of civilian guns sold.
Honest to god how heinous is it to mount an optic(invasive method) to an m48 mauser? What would be a scope that looks decent on it? I love my yugoslavian mauser but I would really like to have a scope on it, for 200 yard shooting at the range with my 8mm handloads. Is it truly damaging some "historical value"? am I bubba'ing it up?
The one option I've seen for that is bad aces tactical and I'm uncertain of its abilities. You are right about the boredom though. I think I'm just gonna see if I can buy a wooden stock rifle in .308 or some caliber with a 3 in it and scope that up instead.
Any tips for gun restoration?
A friend gave me this 1960's 336 that had been abandoned in storage for years, got a lot suffer rust and is missing some screws, but the barrel is pretty clean and the action still works.
Ive stripped it down, but wasnt sure if i should let it soak in something or to just use a cleaning solvent and rags/brushes to work off the rust.
remove the wood before anything.
youll damage the wood if you soak it and you need to examine whats under the wood.
soaking the metal is fine though it depends on how well you want to restore it. if you just wanted functional take it to pieces hit everything with steel wool and oil to remove rust. then simple green. then reassemble and a new coat of oil.
I don't like how that looks ?
You're meant to use It with both eyes open
?t=162
thumbnail looks vaguely familiar but I wont give that shill a view
Here's everything you need to know about it.
ok but why is he about to get shot in the back
Not how it would look. The black circle doesnt just disappear.

What is the naming pattern for aircraft in the US, and in Russia, and is there a way for me to remember & distinguish them easily?
USA
F-number
Russia
Su/Yak/MiG-number
US names them after roles (F-fighter, C-cargo, B-bomber, etc)
Russia names them after the design bureau/company that made it (Mikoyan, Sukhoi, etc)

>(YF-21 vs YF-22), which won
I forgot the YF-23. Very annoying.
What insignia is this? Found it in a Romanian service jacket
Oh boy, that is a Communications badge.
Why is my peepee getting big and hard guys?
depends on how much ambient light there is. If it's truly dark you won't see shit. If there is some moonlight or whatever then you can see them.
So what i want is a sight with tritium then.
why the frick was this thread made? check the catalog.
I ordered a case of remington 5.7 40g and got ss198lf instead. Should I be mad or did I make out like a bandit?
I haven't seen one of those in a long time...a very long time. Ran one on my FNC for years.
Where can I buy one with an AK style Mount?
Are the ones on Amazon legit? That’s where they’re the cheapest
a fiber optic reticle requires light to reflect. if there is no light, there is no reticle.
Do the Eagle Industries shoulder pads for the Scalable Plate Carrier have kevlar in them, or are they just regular pads?
What's the recommended buffer weight for a 16" AR15 with a carbine length gas system?

Thanks Anon. I always hear about the overgassing beating up the bolt carrier and don't want to risk breaking something over a cheap buffer mod.

I would just get a no drill mount that wont hurt the rifle in the long run since you will inevitably get bored and want to take the scope off anyways.
