Why does it cost so much? Isn't it just a laser pointer and a lens? Profit margins must be insane

FR, I know the chinks make everything for Eotech and Aimpoint, just can't believe people are willing to gouge themself because of a middle man. At the least the chinks don't gouge us amirite?

you joke but there are people who seriously think the Chinese are running some kind of charity, they're giving us the "real" prices and they aren't maintaining the same (or arguably better, judging by their marketing budgets) profit margins

Probably. I think all of PA's optics are made in China.

Yes boomer everything that is remotely affordable is made in China and has been for 20 years, time to accept it. And no paying three times as much for something assembled by junkies and groids in the midwest won't be better.

Really been wanting to pick one of these up...I am assuming any blemishes would be on the housing and not on the lens hopefully.

If the glass is blemished (at least in my experience) they will list it on eBay instead since they can explain specific blemishes in the item description. I've bought a few variable scopes that didn't illuminate evenly, or that had small imperfections on other parts of the glass. One magnifier with specs close to the edge. Every blem was entirely serviceable, though. And still warrantied.

If I hadn't just bought the holosun I'd be all over this deal, literally had the PA dot sitting in my cart for a week before the holosun deal popped up. Then a few days later, PA had the warehouse sale. Trying to talk myself out of making another order lmao. Don't think you can go wrong with primary arms, they're a good bunch of dudes.

No, the PA optic will not fit that slide without some kind of adaptation and I'm too fricking stupid to know if that even exists.

The Holosun will fit that slide, tho.

isnt 8 moa awful? though i guess thats what it has to be if you want a large circle instead of a dot.

      Anonymous

      Maybe.
It’s significantly smaller that the 35 MOA circle around a eotech style reticle but also small enough that depending on your eyesight would just be a 8moa smeared solid dot anyways.
I was considering it as a PCC optic but I’d want to look though it myself first before buying sooooo yeah.

i'd like a solid 8MOA dot more, and the solar panel is a gimmick that guarantees you're distracted by the changing brightness of the dot unless you are outside in broad daylight without a cloud in the sky. like most holosun red dots, the reticule is busy. but other than that, it's pretty decent. i think it and the SRO are the best options for the RMR footprint.

        Anonymous

        >What's so good about the RMRcc

pretty much nothing. theres a reason why trijicon has a rebate for them and every store is trying to get rid of them.

        Anonymous

The battery change takes 30 seconds and maintains zero pretty well once re-mounted, assuming you torque it down the same as it was. Worst case every 2 to 4 years you have to spend a few minutes and a handful of rounds re-confirming zero and making very small adjustments, if any.
