What is the Vuk supposed to be? An AK-74 that was absorbed by a melting G36?

      Anonymous

its supposed to be similar to what the original AK12 design was, but more modernized.

the VUK is what the AK12 would've been if Russia wasn't full of corrupt gluttonous buttholes. only thing its missing is the ak74 muzzle brake

Oh shut up, it's a JAKL that takes AK mags and has 2 vaguely AK12 reminiscent features (the adjustable gas block and sights)

What prevents PSA from achieving a price this low. I bet there are plenty of places they can cheap out in 2024 and achieve the same overarching design.

            >I wonder if the AK mag lower is compatible with any other AR-15 uppers
Definitely wouldn't work with any regular uppers, not only is there no buffer tube but it also looks like it comes up to the top of the receiver and blocks the normal charging handle location. Maybe you could get something like a BRN-180 on it though.

I would only respect the PSA STG if it released with a new 8mm Kurz adjacent round. The cartridge length can undercut the OAL of a 5.56x45 action by about an inch. I want shorter guns that shoot a fast bullet.

          Anonymous

Isn't 8mm Kurz one of the cartridges it's going to release with?

The amount of people who think this is a grenade launcher is amusing and says a lot about PSA's customer base.

Anything is a grenade launcher if you have the right tools and no fear of bodily harm.

          Anonymous

The 1” difference from shortening the action isn’t changing anything on that gun. You still need a 16” barrel and a usable stock which makes the OAL longer.

If you want 8mm Kurz ballistics use .300 blackout. You can launch a bullet of the exact same weight at the exact same speed if you want to. 0.3mm in diameter doesn’t matter

It's a 3d printed proof of concept they cranked out in 4 weeks for SHOT show to see if people are interested, finished product is going to be different. Honestly I'd rather them modify a rock and keep the delayed action instead of going full moron and putting in a simple blowback or something dumb. Then again given 5.7 pressures I'm not sure that we really have to worry about that. Too bad S&W didn't have the same bright idea I'd think the tempo recoil system might be a better fit

The NFA mandates that all suppressors cost a minimum of $200. This bumps up the price range and makes suppressor manufacturers price their suppressors at 1000s of dollars. In Europe you can buy a 3d printed titanium flow through suppressor at any store for like $30, USD.

Its difficult to produce the amount of weapons that PSA does, whether its cheap like PSA or not.
LMT produces quality weapons and great designs, they still struggled to fulfil their contracts without any issues.

Because they don't actually want a lot of people to buy and use them. Which sounds strange but it's a strange industry

PSAs CEO has routinely stated his goal is to cover costs and then arm as many people as possible. He wants as many ARs in the hands of people so they impossible to ban.

Clearly PSA is making money because they keep expanding and there’s nothing wrong with a profit motive. However they can innovate and provide new stuff at reasonable prices because their #1 concern isn’t money.

Other companies have the “contract chaser” bug were they have to devote infinity work hours into chasing autistic government contracts or even just whispers of possible contracts.
PSA only sells to civies so they just do whatever they want.
If they ever sell their stuff to governments their attitude would be very ‘take it or leave it’.

I'd the bullpup can handle an 8.5" barrel, I'm in. The biggest problem with the modern bullpup is that you can't go below 20" OAL. I want a CC carbine I can fit under an appropriate length jacket.

Nobody really talking about how PSA is offering a glock 19 sized 10mm? Even S&W hasn't tried it, glock has had nearly 30 years to do it and hasn't bothered. I don't believe a single company has managed to crack the nut on a compact 10mm besides commander sized 1911s. Absolutely huge development.

The G29 is basically the same size as a G19. The grip is fatter because the round but otherwise is very similar.

Don’t get me wrong love this from PSA but a similar one has existed. Using metal mags would help thin out the grip which would be really nice.
