I know you've never held one.
Probably something in 9mm or 5.56, extremely common and abundant ammo.
Like a STEN
for the sake of this discussion, it is chambered in 9mm
Okay, sell me on it. What is it's good points in said apocalypse? From what I see it is extremely close range and incredibly wasteful of ammo when fired in full auto.
>extremely close range

list more qualities you want in a PDW

More accuracy, range and penetration for one thing. Something like a P90 or even an M2 Carbine would be better. Or just a short barreled(10-14") assault rifle with 5.56mm or 5.45mm.
What advantage is this thing supposed to have over them.
>More accuracy, range and penetration for one thing.
Sounds like you want a rifle, anon. The SMG died for a reason.
it jams quickly so you die fast and don't have to live in an apocalypse
You also need to make sure that your particular magazines work in your particular gun for it, since their tolerancing was so shit.
I've never held one
anon, come on now
Just a little trolling. For common definition of pdw assuming 9mm: mp5, stocked micro uzi or switched glock with a stock?
>Verification not required.
heck of a shotgun
An Mp40 has a much more controllable rate of fire and better quality magazines.
Though as a semi auto only the PPSH41 makes sense because of it's greater drum capacity and it from the factory comes with a semi auto capable selector and the caliber is a bit stronger in trajectory and energy.
It's important for shitposters making the 10,000th repost of age old slide threads like OP to remember that any weapon of serviceable quality and useable ergonomics can be amazing or terrible depending on what you're trying to do with it.
Chamber it in .30 Carbine like the M2 (my beloved) and then we'll talk.
Keep the rate of fire.
good luck ggetting ammo for it
is ppsh better than original finnish one
If an SMG is what you must have, then any modern SMG is lighter, smaller, and more reliable. Or use an MP7, it’s kind of in the same category.
