Polymer80 Builds

Anybody ever do the P80 builds before? What was your experience building these and are the 76% ones they have now anymore challenging or different?

I want to try building one but I only have experience stripping handguns down.

Have you completed the new 76% that they've come out with? I don't know the difference between those and the banned 80% ones. I saw on the website there is trigger blocks now but I can't find an article or anything really overviewing the specifics of the new ones and showing them.

I have a 3D printer now. So no. I know from seeing the p80 page on r**dit that it’s just a couple blocks in the back and is no big deal. I’d Suggest buying a 3D printer instead.

I looked at that option too. I couldn't find any places that had the CAD files without a shit ton of walls/hoops or suspicious websites wanting me to pay.

Thanks anon I will look into that. I saw that 3d printers are cheaper than they used to be.

Here’s the deal. The original P80 could be completed with a pair of toenail cutters and a drill. It’s just plastic. You may have to look a little harder but find “Marinegunbuilder” his was the leading source of p80s for years.

Seems like those types of videos are banned on youtube, and limited on a google search.

there's some extra bullshit in the trigger housing cavity, just go on delta team tactical for some 80% stuff. the 80% lowers weren't banned, they weren't outlawed, you just can't buy the complete kits with jig or the completed slides in the same order. gotta make a separate order for the rest of the shit. you can still get the kits with rails and locking block.

Yeah I mean't the older 80% lowers had to become more ATF compliant so they added more shit to do. Have you completed one of the new ones?

I heard people say the trigger cavity in the new ones is more of a pain in the ass? I don't have any special tools besides a dremel and files.

i made the mistake of buying an p80 G17 sized one right before they all were pulled
Now i have an empty frame and slides for it are shit, everything super cheap is in a more trendy G19 size thanks to the PSA dagger.

I have a glock 19 already and I was actually looking to buy the g17. Only because they don't have a blank g43 lower that I can see, only assembled lowers that need an FFL.

I just want my question answered so my brother can stop bothering me about it. I don't know anything about polymer80's besides them being Glock clones that future lawyers and doctors love using.

Thank you for confirming that you don't know how to use google. I'm amazed you're posting here if you're illiterate.

The new one's are dogshit. You're better off just getting an 80% that wasn't targeted.
Unless you're really more interested in diy firearms or are prohibited/wanna stick it to the glowies I'd suggest just buy oem.
I kinda regret just not going for a MOS 19. Easier to resell, Gen 5 improvements and no need to troubleshoot all the issues you WILL encounter.

Yeah I just want to try DIY for fun, I own plenty of shit just never built one up before I always bought new or used.
