Polish military aid only $600 million

Fricking dirt cheap toilet cleaning poles did it again. Poland lied about the extent of their military aid to Ukraine, they claim it's 1.8 billion € and proudly show off that number. Now let's verify what they sent and how much it's actually worth.

https://www.oryxspioenkop.com/2022/08/a-european-powerhouse-polish-military.html

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_foreign_aid_to_Ukraine_during_the_Russo-Ukrainian_War

https://www.hotcars.com/how-capable-are-the-t72a-tanks-that-poland-sent-to-ukraine/

>230 T-72A and T72M1
Unit price in 2011: $0.5 million -> $115 million
https://www.reuters.com/article/ozatp-ethiopia-tanks-ukraine-20110610-idAFJOE7590IR20110610

>50 PT-91 Twardy
Unit price in 2010: $2.82 million -> $141 million

>18 AHS Krab

https://mezha.media/en/2022/06/08/poland-sells-to-ukraine-more-than-50-new-155-mm-ahs-krab/

>160 Piorun MANPADS
Unit price in 2016: $155,000 -> $24 million
https://www.thefirstnews.com/article/polish-army-to-buy-more-piorun-anti-aircraft-missiles-29260

>40 BWP-1

http://www.army-guide.com/eng/product4460.html

>20 122mm 2S1 Goździks
Unit cost: Dirt cheap. You can get them for $40,000. Let's assume they cost at least $200,000, 5 times that price, in military condition -> $4 million
https://mortarinvestments.eu/catalog/item/2s1-gvozdika

So right now we are at around $512 million worth of materiel.
What's missing now is the unknown number of T72M1R tanks (<20), a few AMZ Dzik-2 IMV's, an LPG WDSz command vehicle, 100 R73, mortars, small arms and ammunition. If we're fricking generous, let's round the number up and imagine it's worth 88$ million (it's not), then this is just a fricking third of what Poland pretends to have sent.
There's no fricking way Poland sent 1.8 billion, every unit cost here would have to be multiplied by 3 to get to this result.

I guess your estimate could be roughly correct
but armored combat vehicles make only a portion of the total aid
now count in basic shit like ammo, food, medical supplies, small arms, equipment, fuel, trucks, spare parts, etc.

Oryx's list is disingenuous anyway. It lists smaller aid for germany, but not poland. There are some smaller caveats (Gibbs vs just selling) not included too, but it is still nowhere near as moronic as trying to put it into dollars, which is outright data manipulation.

But those things don't add up to about 1 billion. See the detailed german deliveries for example, where the combined cost of those come not even close to the cost of the systems and are only like 10% of that.
Even if we're extremely overly generous and assume they add up to the same amount as the systems, there's still a third missing.

In fact, it mentiones the price of the Japanese TK-X as $8 million and describes it as "comparable" to Twardy, which would align with the $9,2 price mentioned in the Polish-Malaysian deal from this file.

Trying to compare Poles to Russians puts you in a really bad light because Germans and Russians are basically the same thing.

that's some proper seething and screeching of someone who knows he's talking about his betters.
Poland has always been, is and will always be the conscience of Europe and the world - and excessively smug and pompous about it.

They've also sent a dozen or so jets, set up training camps for Ukies, donated an airport, operate CASEVAC networks, and house millions of their women and children.
Poland is putting its money where its mouth is.

anon, the excel file you linked literally has the unit prices of the military equipment, and clearly they don't align with your calculations.
Not to mention I checked that link you posted in the OP and it doesn't mention a 2.82 million price anywhere. In fact, it mentiones the price of the Japanese TK-X as $8 million and describes it as "comparable" to Twardy, which would align with the $9,2 price mentioned in the Polish-Malaysian deal from this file.

Funfact: That PT-91 price is actually not the same as the one in the source
      http://www.army-guide.com/eng/product179.html
      >Average Unit Cost: $5,935,484
      >Not to mention I checked that link you posted in the OP and it doesn't mention a 2.82 million price anywhere.
That's actually true, they made a typo and wrote "billion" instead of "million":
      >The PT-91 MBT is to cost about 14 billion zlotys [Z]

      https://i.imgur.com/TQC7Qiz.jpg

Are you for reall ? You really coudn't find anything better to shill. fricking pathetic.

      They are getting desperate.

      >how dare you fact check PiStards and pooles

What is the tactical advantage of mass replying and denigrating blue collar work on /k/?

I'd never denigrate blue collar work, but pooles just suck at their job, man

        >Funfact: That PT-91 price is actually not the same as the one in the source
Yeah, it specifically mentiones it's adjusted for $2021.
        >>The PT-91 MBT is to cost about 14 billion zlotys [Z]
Frankly, I don't get what they meant by this. Even if it's a typo, why do they describe a $8 million price as comparable just the next sentence? And is this still talking about '93 prices?
Either way, and actual military deal seems like the better source for the price than an unsourced article from some subscription based website.

lmao moron, no wonder poland thinks they are the saviours of europe. Germany doesn't adjust their deliveries for inflation.

it's not about tanks getting more expensive, the source of the price is still that same 15 year old deal, it's an adjustment for inflation, pure common sense

Tanks. lose. worth. over. time. fast. than. inflation.
A $1 million T72 form 1970 is not worth $7 million today, but only a laughable $0.5 million.
A $6 million PT-91 in 2001 is not worth $9 million in 2022, but rather around the $2.82 million cited by GlobalSecurity in 2015.

What is wrong with schizos on this board, non stop dick measuring contest who gave Ukraine more stuff. Poland given they are a medium country still kinda shit economically gave way above it's league to Ukraine. They gave like 500 soviet era tanks to Ukraine that Ukrainians could use right away which is way better than double of that value in money to be honest. Is anyone gonna unironically compare Poland to Germany or US?

      Lol a bazillion tanks
So where are polish counter battery radars, high precision rocket artillery, or mobile AA? nowhere to be seen, because poland only donated their cheapest shit they wanted to get rid of anyways.
And then made up the value of that shit

Bro no one knows shit. We only know what is public so declaring anything now is moronic. I wouldn't be surprised if all western countries are supporting Ukraine with ammo/training but are just not bragging about it to not piss off Russia even more. We will know the real scale of help only couple years after the war when countries will reveal everything.

Not at all. I want those shitty PiStards to actually supply shit to Ukraine, like the promised Mig 29, their WR-40 rocket artillery (instead of shitty Grad), their Rosomak IFV's (instead of shitty BMP-1), their Cougar IMV or Poprad anti-air systems.
Ukraine needs modern stuff, but all poland has delivered is fricking old. With the notable exception of Krab, which just fricking explodes.

Poles came up with that 1.8 billion figure in June and it was 1/3 of what they claimed. And they haven't delivered anything else until now, their figure is still at that 1.8 billion since 4 fricking months.
Cheap fricking bastards sitting on WR-40's, Rosomak, Cougar and Poprad while Ukraine desperately needs anti-air systems, modern IMV's, IFV's and modern rocket artillery.

Just adjusting prices by inflation adds another $57 million. What about spare parts? Ammunition? Logistics?
Also you are looking at soviet T-72A prices while they planned to spend 400mln on upgrades in 2019 and most of the work has already been done.
    >The Polish Ministry of Defence (MoD) signed a contract with a consortium, composed of the Polish Armaments Group (Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa, PGZ), Zaklady Mechaniczne (ZM), Bumar-Labedy and Wojskowe Zaklady Motoryzacyjne (WZM), for an overhaul and upgrade of a number of T-72M1 main battle tanks (MBT). The deal is worth 1.75 billion Polish Zloty. Work should start this year and run through to 2025.

this list is far from complete - i know of at lest two other: OSA AA systems (undisclosed number) and shiiiton of komar AT - plus all soviet caliber ammo we could find (there were also rumors about migs 29 and hinds sent as spare parts.

One thing of note is that in their small arms package are about 10k MSBS rifles; each one with a unit price of 1700 and being by far the most modern small arms platform anyone has given them (Looking at you, Greece).

But I don't think its actually military support. Every time I read the quote its "military and social support".

And that checks out. That checks out...Fricking completely. Because Poland has been proudly facetanking the bulk of the Ukranian refugee crisis. The refugees are not only given shelter, but the kids were given schools, and everyone was covered by the polish social security system.
