>Poland buying FA-50 light fighter, K9 artillery and K2 tanks

>Poland buying FA-50 light fighter, K9 artillery and K2 tanks
>most of them will be manufactured in Poland and modified for their needs
will this spearhead Korean military into Europe? their offer seems very nice compared to Germany - local manufacturing, technology transfer, no bullshit use clauses and affordable price.
Do you think that other countries (like Czech Rep.) wiill also jump ship to Korea?

Can someone tell me which is better between the KF-21 and the Rafale??

And does the US hold any export restriction powers since Lockheed Martin contributed to the KF-21??

      Rafale f4
      >And does the US hold any export restriction powers since Lockheed Martin contributed to the KF-21??
Yes. Only U.S client states or semi buckbroken slave states will be able to buy the kf-21.

I'm reading that Turkey wants to buy Rafales in lieu of F-16s which are being blocked by pro-Greek/Armenian congressmen and lobbyists.
Which is more realistic to get their hands on, the Rafale or KF-21?

KF-21, Rafale is frog cope and worse in every metric.

Kf21 is a 4.5 gen and the next upgrade model in about a year will be at least 5 gen with the inclusion of an internal weapons bay which is actually controversial as to whether its actually an important criteria for 5 gen

The rafale is a solid 4 gen, the gap between 4 to 4.5 is probably about 10 to 20 years

Yes, all of the US fighters + SK fighters will share similar restrictions as they are fully aligned from a defense perspective, the UK is part of this group too, as an example, both Argentina and Uzbekistan want SK the FA50 jet fighter which was designed as a trainer but performs at 4 gen based on real world combat situations, however, the UK blocked the Argentina sale and the US blocked the Uzbekistan sale, these countries will use each other as excuses to not sell to any country deemed a potential risk, this is why India can't get any US, UK or SK jet fighters

This leaves the rafale, russian migs and chinese knockoffs to fight for the scraps that the US/UK/SK won't touch

        Anonymous

As long as UK weaponry isn't using US tech (which requires Congressional approval) that is less of an issue. The UK isn't hijacked by Greco-Armenian congressmen and lobbyists, and any pressure from Greco-Armenian lobbyists is merely a temporary show. The UK already lifted all export restrictions on Turkey a few months ago.

In lieu of the F-16, what fighter jet should Turkey go with?? Just keep in mind that US embargoes on Turkey are not by the executive or judicial branch, but by the legislative branch. The White House and Pentagon isn't going to go out of its way to block third-party sales to Turkey, only Congress does that because it's hijacked by special interest.

This is the largest military contract in the history of South Korea. So yeah, they are going to be flexible in terms of technology transfer just to make it happen. Also - it opens all of Eastern Europe as a potential market. Once Poles buy large quantities of equipment, other countries in the region will follow. Having similar artillery and tanks could be vital in case Russia feels like invading someone else..

Poland should be ashamed for buying made in Korea equipment. No self-respecting country would lower themselves to the level of Asian ripoff garbage, yet here we are.

    Behold the list of shame:

    >Australia
    >Estonia
    >Finland
    >Norway

Any country contemplating the purchase of the K9 Thunder, K21 Redback, or K2 Black Panther... can no longer seriously consider itself to be Western or European.

because korean can do anything with their semiconductor technology. do you think usa superpower bc t hey have superior semiconductor industry. if you have that semiconductor technology like korea you can do anything. any stem is meme when compared with semiconductor,

        >Korea can't do anything without core IP
Just to be clear, Samsung is the first to mass produce 3nm processors and no other manufacturer has been able to do it so far.
        >semiconductor manufacturing equipment/tools, and materials held by the West and Japan.
Yeah, which is why all the Japanese manufacturers are pulling out from Japan and building factories overseas. Japan barely has any meaningfil footprint in semiconductor industries since all the crucial equipment comes from either Europe or America(i.e. ASML).

I don' get this hate on korean weapons tbh. Poland would never be able to get that high level of cooperation and technology transfers out of european countries or US. Both US and EU already have huge markets and developed their cooperation with each other, there is 0 reason for them to share anything with Poland. So if Poland would want to build army based purely on US / EU arms it would be a massive costs as literally every fricking screw would have to be imported at 200% margin. There are some advanced and complicated weapons like fighter jets that pretty much only US has money to develop so there is no other choice.
Meanwhile there is South Korea with decent weapons that is only starting to enter global arms market and need some cooperation and big sells to promote it's weapons, also a country to develop weapons with to share costs and make development cheaper. South Korea is not only able to supply arms to Poland quickly but is also willing to set up whole production in Poland, share technology and develop next generation weapons together, something US or EU would never even think about. That is all to South Korea - Poland arms haters and about Poland buying "asian junk" or not supporting it's "allies" industries, the end.

this is exactly what is happening - Poland was burned with most arms deals with European countries (and some with US) - the pinnacle of this is LEO2 a4 upgrade debacle - its years overtime, millions overbudget, and complete in 20%...

Additionally with new acquisitions from US and Korea it makes no sense to continue with it, because to get initial goahead we had to lower out requirements to the point that even after those upgrades those LEO2 a5/PL are inferior to abrams/k9....

The haters are all boomers that can't accept the current realities of the world and cling to delusions of when military technology was all US + a few western European countries, obviously today the US is still there but SK is way ahead on technology but as importantly the capabilities to mass produce advanced weaponry at the highest quality levels doable today

hopefully more countries go korean and frick the germs. from what i understand the polish plan is:
      leopard 2 -> abrams
      T-72/PT-91 -> K2PL
since both upgrades match the existing crew setups
poland was unironically building a lot of good weapons and vehicles in the past, getting that technology transfer might be a chance to get back on track.

From what I understand they want 2 "heavy divisions" composed of Abrams and AS21, and the other 4 divisions will use K2PL and Borsuk.

Hopefully they buy another 134 Abrams so they can have 250 tanks and IFVs per division.
