why did a glock clone do the best while glock floundered?

      Anonymous

I wish they would've included the FN509 and P365 (xl or any model). Those two are getting pretty popular. Seems like everyone is carrying p365s and a lot of big agencies are adopting the 509 (LAPD being a notable one, AZ state troopers, & others). This was kind of just a hodge podge of what they had, a few meme guns that no one else cares about that shouldn't have even been included.

There are two types of gun enthusiasts, those who know Glocks suck because they've seen the decades of data, and those who are fanboys of Glock because they can customize them and that's all they really care about.

Actually surprised that the M18 passed this.

I actually don't think they put enough mud in the gun but it is a Nighthawk and those are tight, so maybe not enough mud got into the feeding path. Anyways I need an M&P now.

I have a P320 and have fun shooting it, but I think this was a fluke and it also doesn't make up for the holster/safety issue.

I'm not too concerned for the drop safety issue since that was fixed with the recall, but for the P320 randomly going off in holsters? Apparently that's still happening and Sig is refusing to acknowledge it.

People who dis the M&P handguns have probably never actually held or shot one. S&W puts then together very tightly, I don't think I've ever held a more well fitted polymer gun. They mostly have loose tolerances and a big ass frame gap. The M&Ps seem much more well fit than most polymershit handguns.

That being said, not sure if it contributed much because the CZ should've got damn near nothing in the action. I get dirt blocking the hammer from striking the pin hard enough, but the design seems well sealed...

Based M&P enjoyer. First carry piece I ever bought is the 2.0 Compact 4" in picrel I still carry daily and I love it.
About CZ's though... I'm having trouble finding a 10mm CZ to match the one in Signalis, but I already have an older Tanfoglio TZ75B that I like quite a bit and I'm trying not to have too many "duplicate" firearms for the time being, so oh well.
PPK just for variety. Just found out, putting it on the blanket for the pic, the grip panel is cracked, dunno how tf that happened, kind of a bummer.

Get a Tanfoglio. I have this one. Wish I could say it was a smooth shooter but you can't really say that with 10mm. Recoil is stout even with the steel frame and bull barrel. Operates smoothly though, definitely one of my favorite guns and gives me confidence hiking in bear country.

Those and the newer CZ's keep coming up, but the rails ruin it for "trueness" to the game, unfortunately 🙁

It's dark 50% of the time and potentially all the time if the power goes out indoors. Easier to just have a light attached to your gun so you can see the bear or mountain lion or whatever when it sees you.

It looks damn near like a "typical" CZ75B, just in 10mm, and I've been trying to do some sleuthing to see what's close IRL, but not doing so hot atm.
I'd really like a snubby Chiappa/whatever Rhino in .50GI .500 S&W Special or something like the game too, but I've already basically locked in a few guns as my next purchase, so a Rhino'll have to wait. The Python will hopefully tide me over for my revolver fix for a while at least.

I'll never understand the point of these tests. Seriously, do these idiots expect to fight WW1-esque trench warfare with mud and trenchfoot galore? My brother, we live shared experiences.
            I've thought about trying different lubes first, mainly CherryBalmz Winter Balm, even though I hear he isn't taking orders right now, and even if he was, you'll get the wrong stuff, if anything at all, but then;
            >HURR DURR ANON, AK DON'T NEED NO LUBE
So then I think about what parts might help, and ask for ideas and everyone just handwaives me away and ignores me 🙁
Then, for the AK, my Meridian is too expensive and I waited too long for it to finally come to me, so now I need to save up for a PSA or something.

I'll shill for him - I'm testing lube anon's stuff soon. The AK would benefit by having a spring operated cover that would help prevent big debris from getting in there. No idea about how to stop an AR from freezing up. However
              >nyet, rifle is fine, frick you mud doesn't exist

War and personal carry for SHTF are two different things anon. You are expected to actually be in trenches in a war.

Even if we're staying on topic, they're using pistols in trenches right this moment in Ukraine

    Mud test?

Desert Eagle and 1911 dominated.. were we more right about guns when we were idiot kids in the 00's than we are today? Where did we go wrong?

Deagle worked cause its gas system is more like a rifle, and unga bunga 50AE basically just threw any mud in the system out. The 1911 worked probably cause it's an expensive Nighthawk, although that argument didn't work for the Staccatos.

Nighthawk 1911 was running a larger round on a heavier slide, there's more mass moving around to cycle the firearm and force things back into battery. The slides on the 2011s simply don't have as much momentum behind them and they likely bleed off speed faster if they get dirty.

The Comp on the XC and the Sandhawk probably also bled some energy off from the slide, hence possibly why the P did better than the XC.

Nah, the 1911 worked while the Sandhawk, Staccatos and Hi-Power failed is because the 1911 is in .45ACP while the others are in 9mm.

Same principle, albeit on a smaller scale, to the .50AE. Godly .45ACP can brute force past dirt and debris easier than Eurogay 9mm.

GarandThumb have you been bullied into carrying the M&P 2.0 yet?
Also when is the oven and sand test dropping?

I'd like to see a sand test, although the actual coarseness of the sand I think will matter. I saw a video where they tossed around a Mk18 through some sand all day and it continued to run, but the sand was really fine and it seemed more like dust. If it were more rough/coarse I bet most guns would eat shit.

This is exactly how Garandthumb's life went
    >upper middle class closet gay white boy
    >did well in school so parents bullied him into being a Doctor
    >studied immunology
    >quit med school because deep down he really wanted to be le Army man
    >did what every late 20s enlistee does and joined the Airforce for muh benefits muh better treatment
    >picked a moronic MOS trapping himself in SERE which is glorified Stateside LARP fantasy training which in reality hasn't helped a single pilot since Vietnam
    >dodged an entire decade of deployments and combat because he's a literal coward afraid of leaving his comfy chairforce life
    >becomes a Leviathon Group shill on Youtube
    >cheats on his wife and abandons his family, probably because they were about to find out how he's gay
    >his sad youtube grifter shill career overtakes his pathetic failure of a military career
    >at the last minute he decides to try to commission and becomes a TACP, universally regarded as a pathetic cope career for JTAC and 24STS drop-outs and losers in general
    >realises he's a complete failure at life, a joke of a leader, and won't even make 20 years to retirement so he quits
    >goes full time as a youtuber for children and airsofters

Not really. I kind of already assumed that if I threw my Mark 23 in mud, flipped it over to get both sides, then shoveled more mud on it that it would stop working.

These tests are stupid, you need to have a weapon tested by having a grunt hump it through a raining forest for a week without cleaning it.
The M4 would fricking rust over night from humidity in after a whole night defense
