I think the major issue is that ERA is designed to defeat HEAT (and APFSDS iirc) rather than a fairly blunt 5000lb bomb traveling at terminal velocity which is designed to withstand enormous force by virtue of being a bunker buster. I'm sure that some sort of ERA would probably help but likely wouldn't outweigh the potential drawbacks.
