Over the past two years I’ve been shooting my ARs less and less and my AUG more and more. I haven’t shot any of my ARs yet this year while I’ve put around 3000 rounds through my AUG so far since the beginning of the year and honestly as long as I retain some proficiency with an AR I’m fine with my AUG totally replacing the AR for me which is something I never thought I’d do when I first bought the gun for the sole reason that I think it’s a cool gun. Anyone else in the same boat where a gun you bought just because you think it’s cool has turned into your go to gun against your expectations?
Not my pic.
mdrx for me, but same basic idea. course definitely plenty of anons who have tried various bullpups and not liked them. either cuz different manual of arms or got a lemon and did not want to deal with it which is totally understandable. but for some of us they just really fit.
>Anyone else in the same boat where a gun you bought just because you think it’s cool has turned into your go to gun against your expectations?
Against my expectations or not but definitely ended up shooting it a fair bit. Currently out of ammo and can't buy more for a month or two though
same but for my RFB
I'm much the same way with my Smith and Wesson. Initially got it for muh wheelgun fun but now I can reliably put 6 shots in a inch at 30 yards. Reminds me of this one time I was shooting with a bud
>sets up a clay roughly 15 yards away
>he whips out a P365
>wiffs all his shots left
>"I haven't gotten used to the trigger yet."
>shake my head
>load 1 38
>nail it dead on
Most fucked up part about it all was that I was expecting to fail to make him feel better
>>load 1 38
The nogunz reveals himself
>he's never played Russian roulette before
I recommend you try it, though use 6 rounds when starting out
Thx for the blogpost bullpup gay
Fucking how? That trigger sucks
maybe not everything is about the autistic minutiae
I swear if you're that crazy shitlian whore mod having a stalker meltdown again
the trigger is the primary interface between you and the gun, it is HARDLY a small thing.
>Fucking how? That trigger sucks
nta and don't own an aug, but friend does have a recent one along with some aftermarket trigger kit and honestly the result wasn't bad. And don't give any shit about >aftermarket as if every fucking AR ever doesn't have the shit aftermarketed out of it, like that's the value of the platform.
Also PrepHole makes way, way more out of autistic MUH COMP TRIGGER then actually matters to like 95% of the gun using population. People used and shot extremely well with what would now be considered "shit triggers" for over a century before this board existed. I don't think there is anything inherently wrong with wanting to go for more personalized parts to your liking in a given build, but if you get to the point where you think it's impossible to enjoy a gun for a variety of reasons just because of a 1lb pull difference or whatever you need to get out of your fucking bubble man.
People managed to shoot 90+s on B-8s on Gen 4 Glocks. Barring precision work, I don't care if you've got a 10lbs trigger on the rifle. The damn thing comes with a handguard and a stock for a reason.
AUG users on PrepHole are the vegans of this board. The AUG isn't anything special, it doesn't have some secret sauce that other bullpups lack, it is arguably worse than many of the pretty standard AR15s I own. I bought an AUG for my collection and shoot it once in a blue moon, the hype that the gun has on PrepHole from contrarian retards isn't reflected in reality.
>I personally don't like thing
>hence thing bad
I never said I don't like think it's bad, I'm just tired of AUGtists claiming on countless threads its the best thing since sliced bread despite being a pretty bog standard 5.56 rifle.
>OP says he likes his AUG more than his ARs
>AUG is the best thing since sliced bread
Those are two completely different things. My favorite handgun is my Beretta 82. I own a dozen handguns and this is the one that I’ve by far shot the most and the one gun over all of my other guns that I shoot, especially after I began reloading .32 Auto. I carry my Beretta 82 because I’m comfortable with 10 rounds of .32 Auto and some spare mags. This doesn’t mean that I think the Beretta 82 is the best thing since sliced bread, it means that I love the gun enough to want to shoot it more than any other and want to carry it. It doesn’t mean it’s better than every double stack striker fired 9mm gun on the market, it means that I like the gun. OP liking his AUG more than his ARs doesn’t mean OP is saying the AUG is better than every other 5.56 rifle ever invented. People are allowed to like things and everything in life doesn’t have to be a constant min-max of needing the best possible thing ever conceived by man.
