What are double edged knives good for, except for larping? >Shitty for any utility >Marginally better fighting capabilities >Pain in the ass to sharpen nicely
Model 14's are my favorite. I like both the standard grip and the border patrol like yours. I think the border patrol group makes a slimmer package. My next one will be leather with the CDT. Only my blade will be grey from use. Get that b***h out and get some use on her. Even in the kitchen.
Yeah, I dig it a lot. I had a vintage model 12-9 with a stag grip and sold it like a dumbass. I bought a newer one with the same options but it just wasn't the same as a well used vintage one.
I had one too. Great size, but for a chopper size blade, I like a high flat grind. The hollow grind just does not work for me in that role. Also my model 12 was in stainless. Again not my pick of the litter. For Randall's or other customs, I only will by used ones. Most are only slightly used anyway. That way I do not feel bad beating the fricker up in the bush. I just detest scratches from sharpening too. No matter how careful you are they will show up sooner or later. Especially if you get in a jam and have to use a file or river rock. So far have had 2 model 14, 1 model 12 with the 14 grind and 1 model 19 five inch. Three bought "used" the first model 14 was new and bought from Nordic Knives in about 1995. Not sure what I will get next. Maybe a 1-8 with the leather commando handle.
Erm... All the ones made in China are marked 'Made in the usa' and all the ones made in the usa are really made in China and only assembled in the usa by unskilled labor.

Welcome to 2022.
Kershaws are sharp as frick. I did this at work to my arm on accident 2 days ago. I haven’t sharpened it in about 6 months since I got it and use it often. That’s a chunk of fat hanging out btw
It’s not though, it just pushed the skin inside the wound and folded it under so it looks ragged. It’s a perfect L-shape (also doesn’t help that my skin is dirty)
ya mum dildo
>single edge
you own an overglorified steak knife with an awkward guard on its hilt.

Removing the knife quickly after shanking someone's/something's lungs.
>lungs
Nice try.
True it's great for meat cutting. Good all round knife.
Hey moron, most knives have only one edge, because having two serves no fricking purpose.
>t. passive argument against knives as a utility as opposed to usage as a weapon
I said that backwards. You are trying to make a case that knives should serve primarily as a utility on a weapons board.

Russian knife makers are way too deep in wartime replica market.
Though I'd pick a curly birch grip as in traditional designs

I ended up buying pic related, and I love it.

Antler grips are for wall hangers and paperweights.
Why? They're textured and sturdy.

Antler grips are for my dog to chew on.

Nice man. I had a 1-8 with a saw back, cool knife but not super practical.

You can get the same knife from the same brand with the same features for half that price

That could be because it's dull
It’s not though, it just pushed the skin inside the wound and folded it under so it looks ragged. It’s a perfect L-shape (also doesn’t help that my skin is dirty)
I'm just kiddin' ya. Nothing more satisfying then finding a good knife you can use for everything.
What kind of accident, just curious.
Batonny chop chop.
Cutting a zip tie that I used to attach vinyl hosing to a pipe (hard to explain)
>I haven’t sharpened it in about 6 months since I got it and use it often
you dont use your knife often
Black person I work in a trade where I do plumbing and electrical work, I use my knife more than you use your throat to pleasure men behind Wendy’s
>Not investing into an angle grinder, a file, a F-clamp, sanding paper, a bag of fireclay and charcoal to make your own custom for $300 less
R for respect to any kind of homemade knife.
ANY kind of homemade knife?
What did you shape that blade with? Your father's jawbone?
I don't get it.
It happens.
Never cared for buck. Always prefer my Mora Bushcraft or Mora Garberg. If I'm going for a bigger blade, gonna be either my BK 7 or 9, or my Esee 6.
Are kukris a meme?
Kinda
I mean, they're big knives that chop good. Probably a better outdoor knife than a bowie, but it all depends on what you're doing
Good camping hatchet for batoning firewood.
frick ya mudda
Shut up homosexual, who doesn't go outdoors.
One knife
buck you. its made in some town in china you cant pronounce
How about a bayonet?
Hey knifegays are these things actually good, or just a meme gimmick like balisongs that are only popular because of movies?
I reckon they're not very strong. Probably only good for stabbing socs
