>on the morning of may 8th, 2023, the usa flies a recon drone over the black sea in international airspace, gathering intel for ukrainian allies
>the nearby russian base in crimea picks up the drone on radar and scrambles 4 jets to "investigate" the drone
>unbenknownst to them, the drone has an F-22 squadron escort already flying at high altitude
>russians start to "investigate" the drone, going in to collide some hardpoint on their plane with the drone's prop
>radio call from usa to russian pilots to stop interfering with the drone
>russian pilot ignores warning, figures they will just take out another drone
>2 F-22's get a lock on the offending russian pilot and the OK to fire if any offensive action is taken against the drone

can't wait!

    >giving them a warning
frick that. just sneak up when they're fricking around with the drone and hit em at close range so they can't get a call off.

This is what happens when you spend 20 years deliberately turning off all your air defenses when Russians get close.
One of these days some krokodil-addled moron is going to outright crash into a warship because he wasn't destroyed immediately on approach.

No, that's not how you do it. The Russians successfully take down the drone only to fly back to their airfield and find that it's on fire. The Russian Ambassador points the finger squarely at the US, alleging the F-22s dropped SDBs on fuel tanks and exposed ammo pads, and the POTUS replies, in public, literally, "stop taking so much Krokodil" and changes the subject.

Just taking down a few Su-27s will give the Russians something to complain about.

quietly expanding next l-l delivery, maybe with something new and spicy to it like atacms, will be the best response

Russia will literally not exist in a couple of years. Let them have this one it might be their last.

NATO obviously doesn't want a war with Russia for various reasons (unlike Russian propaganda would like you to believe).
Otherwise they already would have had a million other possibilities to start one.

      >muh nordstream
No sufficient evidences to support that america did it. More evidences show that russia did it because of how it was blown up. But losing a drone is nothing of significance and can be replaced if you have a healthy production and supply of it.

This isn't the first time it happened. Iran harrassed a US drone, but after that, the drone flying over there had f-22s as their escorts. The f-22s presence was enough to spook the iranian jets to fly back.
