    is this how genocides start?

Genocide has been going for a long time with the forcible relocation of Ukrainians to Siberia.

Of Russians this time around. Those 20k-25k troops in the right bank of the river are going to get ass raped by the UA

nah, they're gonna kidnap the civilian population and use them as human shields for the retreat. they've spent weeks prepping it.

Russia bussed thousands of people into Kherson when they took it over. Now they're just getting ready to move them out to hide the fact they attempted population replacement

      >Lose
      >Immediately kidnap as many people as you can
      Only in Vatnikistan.

I suspect/hope this is just a way of deflecting internal critics. They're gonna blame Ukrainians for the mass graves they find, and if they don't claim to "evacuate" pro-ru people they'll look bad to their domestic audiences.

They're just going to use them as human shields so the vatnik military doesn't get highway of death 3.0'ed like they did during the orderly rout up North.

Someone's speculated they'll be used as human shields to cover their escape across the Dnieper. Who knows if the ukies will allow it. If I was them I'd sink anything with armor on it. If they want to get that much out they'd have to pack quite a few per barge anyways.

the russians tried that at Lyman. it didn't help them. tungsten rain gives no fricks.

Is there prescience for this? just emptying cities that you just took and deporting them to the "Heartland"

      Anonymous

Yes, it is what the Nazis and Russians did in WW2 where they depopulated entire towns into camps or mass graves.

      Anonymous

Soviets did it all the time, robbed the Germans of manpower and Stalin could just fill his eastern factories with serfs working as slaves. In fact Soviets even did it during peacetime, if a city showed dissent they just took the whole population east and made them fight the elements trying to survive.

Rybar got so scared of being accused of "discrediting the army" that his writing patter changed.
Either that, or they're just telling him what to say now.

I noticed he used to write his own (generally more accurate updates) while also reposting the Russian MoD updates. Now he just writes updates that parrot the MoD e.g. destruction of enemy columns and counter-attacks that never happened.

He has probably been replaced by a ghost writer, the outlet is more important than the person behind it after all.
Useful idiots are only useful as long as they keep repeating the party line.

russia MoD just took over his telegram channel. more efficient - cuts out the middleman and avoids anything akin to blinking morse code. rybar himself is of no value, and the reputation he had built for that channel is an exploitable resource.

Most likely this is what happenned. After all, I've seen Russia do this with general Russian hobby sites and social media, and a semi-trusted milblogger is an even better target,

          Thanks.

So, what he's saying is that "the 1:5 ratio that has been observed in the Kherson direction may evolve in a direction not favourable to the russian troops".

The way I see it, it can be interpreted as: 1. that there is now a 1:5 k/d ratio for Ukies who are taking heavy losses, but soon it can get much worse for puccians or 2. it's actually a 1:5 k/d ratio for puccians and it can get even worse for them soon (either the ratio itself or the overall situation).
The following sentence, however, says that "all kinds of scenarios are being considered right now, even the worst ones", so I assumie the 1:5 ratio relates to puccians after all. Good.

            Anonymous

He could also just mean raw manpower, not losses per se.

He's saying the Ukkies outnumber him 5 to 1.
This has been a chronic cope and regular excuse by vatnik officers since February 2022 - inflating enemy numbers by orders of magnitude in order to explain away their own failings.
            E.g. Mariupol's defenders went from 2500 to 15000.
