Imagine seeing a country you thought would welcome you as liberating brothers instead fighting you tooth and nail. Imagine seeing them gladly replacing everything Russian/Soviet with as much western gear, tactics, and training as they can get and looking slick as frick with it. Imagine being one of those arrogant ass Russian generals seeing those bastards not just resist, but fight so well you can't really do shit. What a glorious middle finger that is.

Honestly, can't wait to see them join NATO and the EU after this shitshow is over. The "Russian World" is set for a glorious collapse. A still more glorious dawn awaits. The average Ukrainian will hate Russians on a level not seen before. Here's hoping they get their own 2nd amendment and a bustling gun industry that sells cheap ammo and nifty guns to Americans.

        >The M-55S is significantly different from its predecessor. The tank received a new gun – a 105 mm Royal Ordnance L7 with a thermal insulation jacket, one of the most successful tank guns of all time. The tower and hull were covered with additional reactive armor, which even changed the silhouette of the tank, bringing it closer to modern ones. The M-55S received a digital ballistic computer and gun stabilization, a Fotona SGS-55 sight with a laser rangefinder, a Fotona COMTOS-55 commander’s sight, an improved engine, and new rubber-metal tracks, and even a LIRD-1A laser radiation detector linked to the smoke grenade launcher IS-6.

its still a 70 year old soviet tank. I imagine it suffers from the same issues as the T-55.

cramped crew space, no wet storage, autoloader

also, its the same suspension at the T-55? the same armor(besides added on reactive armor on the turret)?

ok dumbfricks, Bradley would do well to kill IFVs but thats not its main purpose, its purpose is to, besides riding 6 infantry assault troopers through a artillery storm, its purpose is to fire 25mm shell burst shrapnel into trenches and windows and machine gun all the infantry it can catch in the open, the tanks will take care of all the machinery

Yes it may be bad form to predict this behavior, but when a Bradley gets smoked (and they will, they are fighting vehicles eg. they will be in harms way) we all know there's going to be so much tiresome, repetitive vatnik gloating no matter how well they perform overall. The true sign of failure would be if the Ukes stuck them in the rear and didn't use them.

      >Ukies need some training.
Either western government are lying to their own constituents and were training them way in advance (likely) or they'll send them equipment and give crash courses in training.
to be honest it's an armored vehicle, we already know that the logistics and maintenance is done abroad, so they just need some dudes to drive it, instructions on the thermal system and how to aim/fire the TOW/Autocannon; giving them simplified crash courses might be enough (even though American crews would roll over their Ukrainian counter-parts).

I'll be honest with you anon. I am not sure ukraine can use bradley effectively yet. Don't get me wrong, given enough time and they will be proficient with operating bradley and integrating it to their armored combat doctrine. But right now they have literally zero experience using bradley and there will be lots of trial and error which might cost them dozens of bradley.

Fair. I imagine they'll just end up using them as indirect fire support and troop movement from how I've seen them use their other equipment. Who knows though, maybe they've been trained to use them properly. I mean they did that American blitz strategy last year to good effect.

how shitty is it to be in a Bradley in winter? Does everything freeze to the hull like soviet IFVs or is it at least semi heated? If so thats a huge morale booster for the guys. Morale is half the battle in a war like this, if the men are comfy and the enemy isnt it makes a huge difference.

the BMP-2 only has 14.5mm protection in the front?

Really makes the russians look like monkeys when the CVRT (you know those tiny airmobile british recon tanks that look like the wiesels big brother) had 14.5mm protection on the front and 7.62 on the sides in the original 70s configuration and 14.5mm all around after getting kevlar inserts. Double so when the BDRM can't even stop 7.62 as it turns out.

BMP-2 has (arguably) 12.7mm/20mm protection on the upper plate at LoS, but that only works at LoS. The sides are notoriously thin and don't stop 50/57 cal AP
