Obtaining full auto guns

I'm in my mid 20s and been collecting firearms for a few years now, but I've always wanted a full auto. If I could have any automatic I'd probably choose an MP5SD, but I want to get an AR of some kind as well.
I'm about to go back to school to become an airline pilot since I wasted my first round of college on a useless degree, so I'm not going to be getting one anytime soon. But I'm wondering what the process will be when I'm rich enough to be dropping tens of thousands of dollars.

I know that you can buy transferable guns from before the 1986 ban, but what's the best way of going about this? And is it possible to get newer full auto guns if you have enough money? I'd love to get a full auto SCAR.

Clearly you don't know what you're talking about lol. In the US airline pilots get paid better than doctors and lawyers, and there's a massive shortage of pilots right now that will only get worse as boomers not only retire, but start going on vacation even more. I've talked to 4 pilots in the last few weeks and they all say now is one of the best times to get into the field in history.

        > In the US airline pilots get paid better than doctors and lawyers
Caveat: that’s only really once they get to the good routes in a mainline airline.
Regionals fucking suck. Less than they used to, but still shitty.

          Johnny Law here. I keep $900+/hr x 2100 hrs from the 1250 I collect.

No commercial pilot can touch me.

True, my life sucks arse. But I have purchased my own aircraft that I alone can fly whenever and there's almost zero paperwork.

What would happen if you destroyed a full-auto lower or part of the trigger group by accident(whichever is regulated, I'm not an expert), could you buy a replacement part legally?

So the amount of machine guns in private hands is only going to decline with time?

legal ones yes. theres a huge scam with garden gnomes buying them as investment writeoffs cause that shit only increases and they can declare whatever value they want. its like art at this point.

you jest but this happens regularly in investing, specifically with transferrables but also in milsurp

you can order full auto ar lpks right now. they arent restricted. ar and ak partskits used to come with that shit 2 decades ago and it didnt stop because of legislation. it stopped cause partskits started being new production not destroyed surplus.

He's talking about replacing destroyed parts that are serial numbered with an identical part carrying the same number. Which used to be done occasionally before the ATF cracked down hard on it years ago. It was mostly suppressor companies replacing blown up tubes though, not so much making replacement machine gun receivers.

Nta but full auto lower parts kits are so common that it’d be dumb to try and fight it through people who buy lpk’s. The atf knows that 99.9% of people who buy these are just cloners who want a fa trigger to look correct in their build. I dont think anons understand just how much money it’d cost to check on everyone who buys these and that’s not mentioning the tens of thousands of old parts kits that always included the sears and even ten years ago you used to get basically the entire cut lower that was piss easy to reweld but wasn’t curbed for decades

Yes, you have to get it repaired/replaced by a SOT who makes a duplicate with the same Serial Number.

The ATF would like to know the location of that SOT.

legally in america for a normal person. no.
if you had enough money then you make a legit million dollar shell guncompany/gunstore/movie prophouse and get yourself some dealersamples that you have control over but dont really own.

What are the requirements for such a thing, I mean loicense-wise, how many hoops do you have to go through?

Class II SOT. Few thousand bucks. Make all the full auto you want then.

Oversaturated field that won't likely land you a job. But its possible to get it, but its a lengthy process that involves money and the feds being up your ass.

        Total compensation
Tech workers have entire websites dedicated to discussing and maximizing their TC. There are tens of thousands of people earning massive amounts of money and they hardly work. They spend all their time talking about and maxxing TC.

Good luck OP. The cheap shit (mac-10, ac556) that cost 10-20k now will cost 50k in 10 years. The mp5 sear or ar15 lower that costs 50k now will cost 200k in 10 years.
Like the other anon said, SOT is the way to go if you want full autos. Transferable s were a good idea to buy yesterday.

no it's damn near impossible for normal people so only rich company owners and glow in the dark CIA youtubers get them.

This is a little overblown. A class ii is a few grand compared to the 10-15k minimum needed to get into the lower rungs of full auto ownership.

        Anonymous

what is a class II? How is that any different from full auto ownership? ik people used to make parts kits but idk if that's much of a thing anymore.

Class II SOT allows you to make NFA items and is often paired with a type 7 FFL as well to maximize your full auto construction potential. Class ii allows building new NFA items and a type 07 is the normal manufacturers license. From a quick Google, type 7 is pretty cheap to get and maintain while an SOT is more expensive. The caveat to this being those new production NFA items aren't your personal property and can't be transferred to you if you let you license lapse (maybe non date restricted stuff like suppressors or DDs are kosher but definitely dyor on that)

Semi-related, but if you make it, you should look into the federal flight deck officer program.
