I have no source, it came to me in a dream or a psychotic episode, but: I am 100% certain that China and Russia had a deal to make near simultaneous moves on their respective territorial claims, and that China got cold feet and decided to hang back a bit to see how things went for Russia. Once it became clear that it wouldn't work out and the tactical redeployment from Kiev happened, the chance of a Chinese assault on Taiwan in the immediate future dropped to near zero. They might do it if NATO commits major portions of it's ground troops, but since most of the American assets being tied down now are materiel and satellites, I don't believe the Chinks deem a Taiwan OP feasible. Any posturing in that direction is just an attempt to keep Russia from receiving undivided attention.

not a crazy hypothesis anon, neither of these nations have anything resembling honor so them ratfricking each other is absolutely plausible
My adjustment to your theory is China was lined up next, after the assumed rolling-over of Ukraine. The West would be reeling and in the chaos it would make it much easier. That hasn't happened so China's invasion hasn't happened.

>They might do it if NATO commits major portions of it's ground troops
In the event of an 'actual' WW3, the most likely scenario is the US launches against China to knock them out of the war on day 1 to allow focus on one opponent.
Now now anon, you seem to have omitted a part from the second article
>“China wants to take some actions to counter American strategic pressure,” said Professor Zhu Feng, dean of the Institute of International Relations at Nanjing University.
>But this is also where Mr Xi has to maintain a “tricky” balance, he added.
>“Russia has become an object of condemnation by the international community and it has suffered setbacks in the war. Further strengthening China-Russia strategic coordination is not in China’s interests,” he said.
Let's also consider this one:
https://asia.nikkei.com/Politics/International-relations/Xi-vows-to-back-Kazakh-sovereignty-in-Central-Asia-power-play
>It also quoted Xi making a strong statement in support of Kazakhstan -- one that seemed likely to resonate in the context of neighboring Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
>"No matter how the international situation changes, we will continue to resolutely support Kazakhstan in protecting its independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity, firmly support your ongoing reforms to ensure stability and development, and categorically oppose the interference of any forces in the internal affairs of your country," Xi was quoted as saying.
>Mass replies his own paltry attempt at shitposting with the deadest attempt at a ""joke""
You could shit yourself and you wouldn't look as pathetic as you do now.
They say that every time a notable event happens to any of their dozens of boogeymen. They said the same thing when israel got some missiles launched at them, etc etc.
Is there any credible estimate of how much explosive/which weapon would realistically be able to actually ”take out” this bridge?
When people talk about blowing up the Kerch bridge I assume they mean blowing a small gap in it, or would a sufficient amount of just roughing it up/cratering be the realistic military objective?
Just putting enough holes in a small portion ruins the bridge to where armor or nothing like that can roll across. It's all held by stressed beams of rebar which once broken support nothing and the slightest amount of weight could crumble it.
anyway, thing with bridges is you not only need to hit and damage it, but keep doing it as enemy repair. This structures are hard to destroy. It demands constant attention to keep it disfunctional.
I thought they were using drones to probe air defence around the bridge, with the intention to use Hrim-2 missiles when they break through towards Melitopol.

>arsenal of democracy
Fricking barf. I had at least hoped Afghanistan would have taught you types about the limits of democracy as an ultimate ideal, but it seems you're about as teachable as the vatniks.
The Afghan project failed because the locals were not susceptible to the idea of a nation state and were instead mired in actual tribalism, they did not want what we were offering, and such it was never going to work and we should have pulled out ages ago.
Ukraine is different, they actually wanted Ukraine to exist as an idea, and so they took a fraction of what we sent to the sandbox and used it to go from ex soviet satellite state tier country to a full fledged western martial force in just five years.
Through superior morale and tactics tailored to their size they fought Russia to a standstill before the international megabucks even had a chance to arrive.
Time for Ukrainian Commoando Raid on the bridge. Get a bunch of Russian speakers with fake documents. Send them into Russian occupied Ukraine with small arms and a truck full of explosives. Drive to the bridge and have one poor sod drive it over a pier and then detonate.

>Beijing has stepped up Russian energy imports.
Not to mention those imports are favoring China not making up for the loss of European revenue.

>China tells Russia, "good luck" and then leaves.
Now Ukraine is doomed for sure!
>China will save us guys!
Is this the new cope?
>Russia will consider civilian targets fair game
"will".
lmao.
Russia is bombing civilians since the start of this war
Cope, seethe, and die of liver failure you vattroony.
How shitty was it built? Knowing russians it surely has some fatal flaw?
>Mass replies his own paltry attempt at shitposting with the deadest attempt at a ""joke""
You could shit yourself and you wouldn't look as pathetic as you do now.
Anyone else notice this?
other boards are waking up..
It's all held by stressed beams of rebar which once broken support nothing and the slightest amount of weight could crumble it.
chill, they are probably shooting down their own iskanders/planes again

What does "full fire control" mean? Complete coverage of the area by arty?
>Complete coverage of the area by arty
seems the most likely meaning or HIMARS/arty
You better not get me excited for some moronic rumours that get proven wrong a few days from now
lel no
anyway, thing with bridges is you not only need to hit and damage it, but keep doing it as enemy repair. This structures are hard to destroy. It demands constant attention to keep it disfunctional.
I thought they were using drones to probe air defence around the bridge, with the intention to use Hrim-2 missiles when they break through towards Melitopol.
This guy is gonna get HIMARS’d so fricking hard lmao
>no anthromorphized HIMARS-chan x Bridge-chan futa on female porn with a chicken of evidence watching in the background, sweating profusely
just going to kms tbh
>futa porn
You deserve nothing, degenerate filth. HIMARS-chan is too pure and righteous to be depicted as a trannoid. Remember, raping ruzzian ammo dumps is not a sin.
This is a christian website, sir. There's no room for 'futa' degeneracy here. HIMARS-chan is going to be depicted wearing a strap-on, like god intended.

This isn't the end of Russia as a state, it's the end of Russia as a power. Russia will learn nothing from this after it's over and descend into ever more stringent purity spirals against the insignificantly patriotic and eventually end up a larger North Korea while the West will now ignore all their saber rattling that used to cow them.
Ok so explain to me what would happen if the Ukies blow up that bridge, I don't get it.
Strategically, even more difficulties with supplying russkoid troops there. And symbolically, a very big frick you to monkeman.
Destroying it would mean a logistical nightmare for Russia. It would be the equivalent of someone blowing up the one street that leads to the grocery store.
They should blow up multiple areas of the bridge as a show of their power.
>"We did it! We stopped the missile!"
>"You mean missiles right?"
>Bridge collapses at multiple points.
they should frick around and intentionally miss a bunch of rockets to frick with them.
Shills would be talking about "NATO Junk" while civvies and officers of russia scramble across the bridge
Would be funny but c'mon, these are very expensive missiles. Not to say the US can't make up for those losses, of course.
>very expensive
We will spare no expense, the arsenal of democracy has no limits.
>arsenal of democracy
Fricking barf. I had at least hoped Afghanistan would have taught you types about the limits of democracy as an ultimate ideal, but it seems you're about as teachable as the vatniks.
You can lead a horse to water, etc. etc. Democracy is the most maintenance intensive and representative form of government
>Implying the US isn't indisputable World Protagonist
>vatniks blow a dam
>Ukies blow up a bridge
KEK
How could Ukraine realistically destroy that bridge?
*Jaws theme starts playing*
Time for Ukrainian Commoando Raid on the bridge. Get a bunch of Russian speakers with fake documents. Send them into Russian occupied Ukraine with small arms and a truck full of explosives. Drive to the bridge and have one poor sod drive it over a pier and then detonate.
