North Sentinel Island

Could a man with an AR-15 and a bag full of ammo survive on this island?

no, guns don't make you immune to dissentry and other illnesses, yeah you'd have a high K/D but what else?

Why would you want to kill the natives? They are pure people, untouched by the ills of the agricultural revolution.

that island looks so tiny, you can see the individual trees. how can it sustain a genetically viable human population?

Read up on Pitcairn Island to learn about how small island populations survive by every male having sex with every female pretty much the moment they hit puberty.

It's bigger than you think, but also over very large timescales interbred populations become so genetically homogenous that it's not really an issue any more.

Environmental pressures keep you from being too inbred.
It's a problem in the west because we try save the retarded/diseased and they have kids too.
They might not have a lot of population, but they have a lot of children that die, a lot. Only the best breed, thus it staves off some of the inherent shortcomings of a smaller population

It's almost 70 km^2, that's viable for an agricultural population at least, see Polynesia.
Hunter-gatherers have a lower population and are thus at higher risk, of course, but genetic purging helps in keeping small populations viable: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genetic_purging
And lastly, it's by no means certain they're actually long-term viable. We don't know how long they have been fully isolated from the rest of the andaman islands. It is likely that until circa 200 years ago (when the Andamans experience a rapid population decline on account of colonialisation), regular genetic exchanges between the Sentinelese and the other islands still occurred.
It's quite possible that the Sentinelese are slowly approaching extinction on account of a lack of diversity. It just takes time.

The natives intimately know the lay of the land, use iron arrows scavenged from the wreck of a ship, and while not exactly disciplined soldiers they are certainly competent marksmen with their bows from a life time of hunting. They also kill outsiders on sight.

You would likely be killed, the question is whether they react to you with aggressive displays which gives you a chance to kill some before you go down or whether they opt to hide and hunt you. Either way there's a really good chance any diseases you were carrying would wipe them out anyway.

There’s only been one documented case of someone surviving contact with sentinel islanders in the 70s. He was from National Geographic and he gave them a ton of coconuts, everyone else is murdered. Though, maybe not always on sight.

let's say you somehow get there unannounced, you just end up in the jungle somewhere. the odds are not in your favor. you'd have to kill about 50 highly belligerent men who would be running at you from all directions. I think they'd just sperg you until someone finally clipped you with a spear and then you're dead kiddo. remember, they wouldn't have an idea what a gun is. you might get lucky and they'll be afraid of the boom stick, but that's a mighty big gamble to take with you high score 100% platinum genocide trip.

    >kill all the native
    possible
    >survive
no, you still need the know-hows to live on an island in the middle of the ocean
otherwise you might die of diarrhea, malaria or whatever disease there as the last human alive on the island

Is the AR suppressed? How large is the bag of ammo? Because, you're asking "Can one autism clear an island of aboriginals" the answer is "without question."

Survival is something completely different. You need other serious skillz, none of which require the knowledge that guns even exist. Look up how long that island has been inhabited if you're curious about surviving there. If that's your jam, then marry one of the local waifus and go native.

You just need to cough on one of them to wipe out most of the tribe

Threadly reminder that the ONLY reason sentinelese are so hostile to outsiders is literally some english researcher doing gay shit to them and kidnapping them, which is probably why they often engage in heterosexual intercourse in full view of outsiders.

The North Sentinelese did nothing wrong, in fact they are based.

I have always thought about how funny it would be to tranquilize like 10 sentinelese warriors putting them in a container filled with spears and bows then opening it in the new york subway
