I own one, and they are literally considered the bottom of the barrel AKs here in Yurop. They do work, but they're practically Ladas of semi autos.

Reminds me of a story my dad told when he was drunk with his friends
      >Be dad
      >Work in electric tower constructions since a teenager, join turkish gendermarie
      >Legs of thunder from all that construction work and military training
      >One day catch a pkk fricker in the mountains
      >Firefight ensues, suddenly the guy stops firing
      >My dad flanks the guy, sees him fiddle around with the ak
      >Waits for a little, concludes guy has no other weapons
      >Runs up and dropkicks him off the fricking hillside
      >Guy breaks both arms
      >Turns out he had a grenade but couldnt pull it out because both arms are noodle now
      >All because he had chink bullets that didnt fire (found with multiple needle strikes on the primer) and his chink ak couldnt eject the faulty bullet back out

There is no scenario in which your roach guns/ammo are better than something chinese

Is it true that they need steel cased commie ammo to hit anything?

I don't know about Norincos (I have fired one exactly on one range trip) but my Saiga is that way

I've shot everything from Sako's match-grade stuff to USSR surplus shit. Haven't done any super long range shootan', since it's a fricking AK, but within 100m it's more of a matter of consistency than anything.

What's the difference between a chinese AK and a "good" AK? asking in good faith

        Build quality.
        Smoothness of action.
        Superior materials.
        Less canted sights.
        etc.

What the hell are you talking about even? This is pretty inaccurate.

        NTA, but nope,
        (You) are very dead wrong.

      what

      Norinco isn't a single factory.
It's basically just an Export-market brand name for Chinese weapons made by a variety of different state-owned factories located all over the country.
Thus the same name can be stamped on two AK rifles of vastly different quality made by two completely different factories 1000km apart from each other.

Maybe the milled ones are extra special or something but as was already said, the stamped models are a crap shoot

Yes but be honest, you wouldn't have it if you could buy an AK.

i've thought about it. of course i would buy an AK. but side by side, i wouldn't say an (Chinese) AK is automatically superior.
        >less recoil
        >LRBHO

china never made good AKs or any other guns. they made ok wasr tier AKs for a few years when Americans were allowed to import them and they were cool because they only cost a few hundred dollars. before and immediately after the ban, they were absolute trash far far worse than any american made junk ak. moron redditors think they're they're le heckin holy grail of AKs and pay 5k for wasrs with norinco stamped on them.

Chinese commercial production Norincos are pretty hit or miss mostly accuracy-wise, good AKs like Sakos will be much more consistent regarding trigger pull and accuracy

They’re capable of making fantastic guns. Doesn’t mean they always do.

Some stamped Norincos are pretty good
The only one I ever tried out was fantastic apart from having had to move the front sight drum all the way to the right for it to shoot straight, great accuracy and trigger nonetheless
