Non-binary triggers and the NFA

Since binary triggers don't count as NFA, why not make a trigger that has multiple "pulls" per movement of the finger in a given direction to get a burst equivalent? For instance, if you wanted a 4-round burst, you could have it fire once when you get it halfway back, once when you get it all the way back, then again during each return stage.

Pic semi-related. Since this is now a NAFO board we have to move #BeyondTheBinary.

Why the fuck would you ever want that

It's close to a 3-round burst, but uses the binary trigger concept with multiple stops.

What is the advantages over single shot or automatic. And don't act like it isn't easy to make an AR auto

Advantage over single shot: volume of fire
Advantage over automatic: won't have the ATF kicking down your door (I think). I admit if they finally declare the NFA unconstitutional there would be no reason to do this

Multiple shots from the same stroke of the trigger pull/mechanical action, it's a machine gun by definition even without any of the legal bullshittery. Binaries get around the definition by claiming that pulling the trigger is one mechanical action, and releasing it is a second.

Even if you don't like the image, this is a clearly on-topic thread asking about trigger mechanisms.

Fostech Echo ARII, and yes for $480. I got one, cant exactly reccomend. It tends to bind up and misfire on the pull once it gets toasty warm. Fun when it works and when the RSO aint on my ass for "rapid fire".

Call me a fag for my opinion, but their Echo Sport is less likely to get that additional scrutiny since it does NOT add a third position to the safety select. Instead, adds a semi/binary selector in with the trigger. And has less components to lose when it blows up on you when installig it.
