Hordes of Siberian mongoloids that they're willing to throw against Ukrainian lines?

Ironically, not really. Russia wouldn't be sending actual convicts at a high price if they had masses of free conscripts.
The value of service is significantly higher now that demand outpaces supply. Russia has a larger total economy and military on paper, and that's it. They can't adequately hold a 3:1 advantage on the offensive and that's due to lacking manpower just as much as every other problem

There's brigade size units getting wiped out with mobiks from the Southern/Central/Eastern military district where the mobiks are either poor people or ethnic minorities and this method allows the RuAF to continue this madness. If 100s or god forbid 1000s of people from Moscow and Saint Petersburg were getting maimed/killed/blownup and making the news on telegram, this war would be harder to justify by Putin.

The Americans had as many deaths in Vietnam as the Russians have had in 9 months in Ukraine. I want to know their numbers in 2042.

We technically did win in Vietnam (we just knew the NVA wouldn't follow anything the agreed to making the while thing an ideological loss). We won in Afghanistan as our goals were completed We just didn't want to be there for another hundred years supporting a lazy government. This idea that we're permanently responsible for a people we aided due to a common goal is a bit rich.

So you're saying you lost because you ceded all that ground to an incompetent third party who couldn't hope to hold it?
If Mexicans retook new New Mexico, would you say that it wasn't a loss because you managed to occupy it for a century beforehand?

War is politics by other means, anon. Tell me, which political goals did the United States achieve by leaving in disgrace and letting Ho Chi Mihn finally do what we should have helped him do in the 40s?

the war is not over dummy, ukraine is assembling new battlegroups with all the western gear they received, they have committed none of that stuff to bakhmut yet, or anywhere else for the matter.
meanwhile russia has likely depleted all the reserves they could spare trying to take a tiny town and are now dusting off BTR50s and T62s.

That the self-proclaimed #2 military power in the world is retrofitting T-62s, refuting the other poster's claim that they aren't

Russia has already been using T-62s since summer last year though?

And how else are they supposed to expend their old 115mm ammunition stocks?

It is with great regret that I must inform you all that Bakhmut will soon fall into Russian hands. Their armies are strong, their resolve unshakable. And yet I cannot help but feel a sense of excitement at the thought of what is to come. For with the fall of Bakhmut, a new era will dawn in the East: An era of order, of stability, of strength.

The Russians will rule with an iron fist, their power absolute and unyielding. But they will also bring with them a new sense of purpose, a new vision for the future. And so, I say to you, my friends, do not despair at the fall of Bakhmut. Embrace it, for it is but the first step on a long and glorious journey towards a brighter tomorrow.
