New Ukrainian drone shot down deep in russian territory

Kinda amazing, how fast drone development is going. What do you think will be the next step?

I think that's a channel for a timing belt. You can see the round hump in the valve cover for the timing gear.

A stepped piston 2 stroke can run on normal fuel and keep the oil isolated. It really is the best of both worlds.

Large RC airplane engines are essentially the same thing as string trimmer engines. Some are the literal same engines.

There's Farsi on a bunch of Ukranian shit because the Americans intercept Iranian shipments all the time and donate them to Ukraine. So this may have been produced in Iran.

Frick. I forgot about that. Was news for a day about a year or year & a half ago, then got lost in the noise. Not just Iranian shit, too. As I recall, the U.S. is donating just about anything useful it confiscates to do a run around Congressionally allocated funding and budgets. Pretty certain the U.S. sometimes uses an intermediary country to pass it along through. I don't want to name any and guess wrong, but I think there's a regular agreement with a couple of the poorer/smaller European countries that don't have much to give from their own stocks, so technically the donations are to them but what they do with it afterward doesn't get reported on too closely.

That would be a great in-depth bit of reporting for a motivated journalist to dive into. Be real interesting to see which countries are involved, both as "donors" and confiscators, and the volume & type of weapons & equipment.

I remember a bout two years ago a couple hundred RPK Krinks and a bunch of RPG rockets got interrupted on route to Yemen. Bet all that got shipped over pretty fast.

    >ukraine says "dozens of small enterprises" are making drones in the tens, if not hundreds, of thousands every month now

They never specified who. I know they have their own industry, but could this also mean they've put out a 'secret' call to enterprises in other nations to develop shit and watch it wreck russians in real time?

    Could also explain the arabic.

        >hey ukraine, here's one we call the Zigger Shredder 9000
        >should have a range of 1000km
        >just send it towards X oil refinery and send us the results so we may improve the design and therefore shred more ziggers in the future
nerds dream come true. probably even get government subsidies for doing it

These will be tethered to fighters and have enough automation to act independent enough they don't need an operator
Normally I'm fairly conservative in terms of their development, but these little bastards are streaking ahead
