>and if they took that turret from a functional BMP-1, they sacrificed both an APC and an IFV to make that abomination
I'm gonna guess they didn't take the turret from a functional BMP, and putting the turret on a new vehicle was cheaper than fixing the old one. Either that or they took the turret off because they were turning the BMP into some other witch brew concoction and wanted to put it to some use
Maybe they're DPR? The gear looks like the random shit they were handing out when their interior ministry carried out its "mobilization" and grabbed every somewhat fit young adult they could find in vocational schools, etc.
Some of them were even willing to enter combat like that, when sufficiently encouraged by the interior ministry paramilitary police herding them. I think it's mostly just the police and Russian mobiks left now.
Russians are incapable of dying due to intense strength and manliness (Hohols and westerners are weak, and thus easily die to russian tibia and Spinescent-wrasper) ! While moaning and gurgling can be heard from pile, this is merely orgasmic joy at life in service of motherland. Russia strong russia strong russia strong russia strong russia strong live for russia become big
They're still pretty easy to distinguish, with the lolrandom shit gear, occasional helmets probably dating back to WWII and all that.
Being a mobik assigned to those units must be a whole different level of suck.
Yeah, because the remaining DPR commanders use Russian mobiks like the Russians used D/LPR forces at the start of the war. The mobiks complain about this fact a lot.
DPR is fucking gone anon, its men are all dead and its territory has been annexed by the russians
they've literally been cucked out of existence
the units are incorporated but they're separate regiments like the chechens iirc. there's videos of groups from LPR using old stuff, and others showing them using like BMP 3 so it's a real shit show.
dpr doesnt exist + this is alot of effort required for basically no gain, putting a cramped bmp1 turret on a ancient paper thin mtlb, why not just have a mtlb and a bmp1 separately?
you expect 2nd military of the world to into standardization of equipment? you fool, that's only possible with the power of satan. rag tag gear is the sign of a fighter with God
A fuck ton. Likely thousands, they had 3300 in active service before the war, god knows how many is rotting in the siberian fields, and can be reactivated.
that's one of the few things they're definitely not running out of. I can understand them wanting to get the moat out of them but let's just say it comes off as more than a little desperate
better than naval aa mounts but still worse than 1990s legit upgrade. maybe eventually ldnr hobos will grind enough xp to unlock bmp-3 or berezhok turrets
They ran out of helmets? Ive heard shit about how in Stalingrad the soldiers had like 1 rifle for every 4 men so the other 3 were trailing behind carrying ammo and would pick up the rifle of their fallen comrade. Is this it?
>in Stalingrad the soldiers had like 1 rifle for every 4 men so the other 3 were trailing behind carrying ammo
There were weapon shortages but they made up with submachine guns.
They did have problems bringing over heavy weapons support but the concept of unarmed men zerg rushing is movie myth.
>Ive heard shit about how in Stalingrad the soldiers had like 1 rifle for every 4 men so the other 3 were trailing behind carrying ammo and would pick up the rifle of their fallen comrade.
Enemy at the Gates is a fun film but it wasn't a documentary. Of all the actually incompetent shit the soviets did during WW2 this one is (mostly) a myth. And then they started mass producing cheapshit SMGs also which accidentally turned out extremely effective.
I suspect pajeets will soon rightfully make their claim as being more advanced than ziggers >both do not have indoor plumbing >both majority of population does not have a indoor toilet >at least india managed to land on the moon recently
rusmorons just pay pajeets with playstore giftcards to spam their narrative everywhere
GOOD MORNING SIRS
This is only innovation you see from Russians, westerners wouldn't understand how handy these kind of soldiers are. They have to spend $39123293012 to fix armor and sign 30 different papers when you can fix armor with a rope. This is the army that will defeat NATO.
It works against anything unarmored or very lightly armored (MT-LB is rated to "kill anything up to it's own equivalent) so it isn't completly useless.
Ukrainians use a lot of old MT-LB's too, so I guess it is still valid against them, at least? Against HATO mutant space marine vehicles... not so much.
>Ukrainians use a lot of old MT-LB's too
It has its uses, being a tracked logistics vehicle/troop transport with light armor.
Modifying them to carry guns with the clear intend to use them in an offensive role at the front is somewhat questionable. Especially if you consider the amount of RPGs and other anti tank weaponry that's being deployed.
It's basically a turreted Carl Gustav on steroids, without any of the fun ammunition types and with atrocious sights so it depends, could do ok against fortified buildings and such.
But the way the Russians employ them by randomly running into prepared AT defenses?
Or against any sort of modern tank tank?
Mounted on a even worse tin can than the BMP?
Yeah, pretty fucking useless.
Specially considering the lower part of the turret and autoloader (if they are even using it and don't just hand load it) probably takes up the whole of the troop compartment in the MT-LB meaning this is intended as a makeshift IFV rather than an APC.
>Specially considering the lower part of the turret and autoloader (if they are even using it and don't just hand load it) probably takes up the whole of the troop compartment in the MT-LB meaning this is intended as a makeshift IFV rather than an APC.
The gun is a 73mm, low-velocity, hand-loaded cannon. Think of it as an underpowered Sherman firing at half standard charge.
It's shell travels at 400m/s which isn't terrible, but it's barely supersonic which makes it awful at hitting a moving target at anything beyond close range. This doesn't take into that that this will have to be aimed and loaded manually with shit optics as well.
no its waiting to get some ERA blocks for the mod 2023 updated version. This is what makes russian tanks so much better than the ones in the west, they are never obsolete, and russia has tons of them. They also have tons of new ones too! Although They are keeping the good stuff and just using .0001 of their equipment and using the worst soldiers they have, and still they are winning! Meanwhile Nato is running out of inventory and are giving the pigs rotten water logged crates of ammo lmao XD. Russia are saving all the real good stuff for the nato invasion as when WWIII kicks off, you'll see, X22 and the Dive told me all of this!!!
>This time, it's MT-LBs with BMP-1 turrets
They are running out of APCs already? I knew they were out of tanks and artillery but they were supposed to have a few thousand APCs left at least
>This time, it's MT-LBs with BMP-1 turrets
They are running out of APCs already? I knew they were out of tanks and artillery but they were supposed to have a few thousand APCs left at least
If the Ukrainians every stop prioritising Russian MBTs and artillery (because they've also killed the antique store) and switch to APCs they will hit three digits daily on them, Ab NB-LT is just a tracked tractor with an aluminium body kit. Its not armoured any NATO 7.62 or 50 will tear through it
>Russia increased tank production >instead of any t-series they just refurbish MT-LBs with canibalize other tanks in the garba… i mean storage yard,
I have a bad feeling for Russian soldiers!
Hang on, where did they get the turrets from?
shouldn't them already being on bmp chassis make this kinda pointless?
do they just have bmp1 turrets lying around?
Haha, is good joke pathetic American swinedog.
Everyone knows now that we will be winning the war because of our amazing new plane armor
Is develop by genius Russian scientist Misha Linman.
but why?, its placed right on top of the troop compartment, you just got rid of an APC to make the shittiest light tank ever
and if they took that turret from a functional BMP-1, they sacrificed both an APC and an IFV to make that abomination
atleast when the ukis improvise it makes sense
>ERA on leos
>anti-tank gun on MT-LB
>BMD-2 turret on BMP-1
>technicals
>and if they took that turret from a functional BMP-1, they sacrificed both an APC and an IFV to make that abomination
I'm gonna guess they didn't take the turret from a functional BMP, and putting the turret on a new vehicle was cheaper than fixing the old one. Either that or they took the turret off because they were turning the BMP into some other witch brew concoction and wanted to put it to some use
Certified 1990's RTS drip
Their equipment is like a bunch of kids playing airsoft
Maybe they're DPR? The gear looks like the random shit they were handing out when their interior ministry carried out its "mobilization" and grabbed every somewhat fit young adult they could find in vocational schools, etc.

Probably? Red tape + guy in the middle has novorossiya patch
Novorossia patch on uniform. Further proof the mobikube is real :0
I hate to post stuff I found on Google image search but it's Def real
Checked! Good fucking digits. Yeah, pretty clear.
Russians are incapable of dying due to intense strength and manliness (Hohols and westerners are weak, and thus easily die to russian tibia and Spinescent-wrasper) ! >British english
Most English speakers speak British English unless they're Japs. But yes, it does mean it's likely a well educated ESL or a bong.
>British English
No such thing, Tell me about Scots and Welsh english you sad little brown prick
who?
Well, the Welsh speak Welsh. They don't really have a distinct version of English because of that.
Scottish English is a dialect, Scots is a mutually intelligible version of English and Gaelic is mainly for songs and poetry nowadays.
DPR is fucking gone anon, its men are all dead and its territory has been annexed by the russians
they've literally been cucked out of existence
>Maybe they're DPR?
like that means anything at this point, that territory was """annexed""" and the units incorporated to the russian army
The mobiks complain about this fact a lot.
you know regular old russian mobiks also get equipped with "modernization kits" for old soviet steel helmets too?
the units are incorporated but they're separate regiments like the chechens iirc. there's videos of groups from LPR using old stuff, and others showing them using like BMP 3 so it's a real shit show.
what's a DPR?
dpr doesnt exist + this is alot of effort required for basically no gain, putting a cramped bmp1 turret on a ancient paper thin mtlb, why not just have a mtlb and a bmp1 separately?
Standard issue? More like random issue.
😀
it's because they ARE kids playing airsoft
you expect 2nd military of the world to into standardization of equipment? you fool, that's only possible with the power of satan. rag tag gear is the sign of a fighter with God
>rope belt
>running shoes
>SSh-68
You're doing a disservice to airsofters, they're better equipped than that.
>The vehicle is lightly armored against small arms and shell splinters with a thickness of three to ten millimetres (0.12 to 0.39 in) of steel
Oh wow... armor that can be penetrated by a battle rifle.
Jesus Christ, how many MT-LBs can they have left?
A fuck ton. Likely thousands, they had 3300 in active service before the war, god knows how many is rotting in the siberian fields, and can be reactivated.
They're artillery tractors built for an army that uses an excessive amount of artillery, so...
that's one of the few things they're definitely not running out of. I can understand them wanting to get the moat out of them but let's just say it comes off as more than a little desperate
>mobik tactical rope
HATObros we got too cocky
>BMP turret fires
>round hits machine gun turret
Blyat
>BMP turret
Sounds like commissar turret
better than naval aa mounts but still worse than 1990s legit upgrade. maybe eventually ldnr hobos will grind enough xp to unlock bmp-3 or berezhok turrets
>better than naval aa mounts
Shut the fuck up
>using aa guns on some poor babushka collecting wood for the winter
purest vatnik savagery, we must send more Gepards
Unironically looking forward to these in Arma 3
Same here, I’m pretty sure 3CB factions adds MTLBs with BMP turrets so this would be a welcome addition
>3CB factions
Look at that, now I need to check that out.
They ran out of helmets? Ive heard shit about how in Stalingrad the soldiers had like 1 rifle for every 4 men so the other 3 were trailing behind carrying ammo and would pick up the rifle of their fallen comrade. Is this it?
yes

Ukraine war begs to differ.

How come its happening with Wagner, penal battalions and separatist troops in Ukraine then
>Guy on the left
>A fucking string to fasten his gear
This is what pajeets think is going to crush the west?
I suspect pajeets will soon rightfully make their claim as being more advanced than ziggers

GOOD MORNING SIRS
>hey I use a string to hold on my rags too!
Congrats, you figured out why they see them as a brother nation of fellow streetshitters.
No we need to gaslight the pajeets into thinking their better than russians so they dont wanna work for them anymore
This is only innovation you see from Russians, westerners wouldn't understand how handy these kind of soldiers are. They have to spend $39123293012 to fix armor and sign 30 different papers when you can fix armor with a rope. This is the army that will defeat NATO.
This is the kinda shit I would have expected Ukraine to do in the early days when they were scrambling for anything to fight Russia.
Ukraine is too poor to do anything like this
lol, lmao even
Why use ancient sovshit cancer when the west gives them superior vehicles and weapons?
Isn't BMP-1 gun is fucking useless in modern combat?
It works against anything unarmored or very lightly armored (MT-LB is rated to "kill anything up to it's own equivalent) so it isn't completly useless.
Ukrainians use a lot of old MT-LB's too, so I guess it is still valid against them, at least? Against HATO mutant space marine vehicles... not so much.

Yeah, MT-LB is supposed to be back lines taxi, not a front line combat vehicle.
But at this point, I guess anything goes. Protection level for it's soldiers ...isn't what Russia is intrested in.
It's basically a turreted Carl Gustav on steroids, without any of the fun ammunition types and with atrocious sights so it depends, could do ok against fortified buildings and such.
But the way the Russians employ them by randomly running into prepared AT defenses?

an IFV that cannot transport troops
this looks more like a very awful light tank
it can still kill things that arent tanks. It's HEAT round has 300mm of penetration
It will hardly hit tank sized object from 200 meters
The gun is a 73mm, low-velocity, hand-loaded cannon. Think of it as an underpowered Sherman firing at half standard charge.

Maybe its a BMP-1 turret from one of the modernized versions?
i just realized that the spaceship/UFO fixture I've seen on many children's playground is a BMP-1 turret. Leme see if i can find a picture.
can't find it but it looked like this without the orange stuff inside the tripod. Also base was cemented into a slab of concrete.
You could still traverse it.
please elaborate, sounds very interesting. I presume you are living in eastern Europe?
They are regressing even further, multi turret vehicles again.
Is this the T-15 successor of the Armata??
no its waiting to get some ERA blocks for the mod 2023 updated version. 10/10 there were times I did not know if it was troll or not.
It's funny because the MT-LBs were all built in Ukraine and now they're going home.
If this war goes on long enough which will Putin start to run out of first, BMP-1/2s or MT-LBs?
Holy fuck does that guy on the left give out early war vibes, it's like a wehrmacht dude in m36 jacket amidst the battle for Berlin.
Does this imply that they are running out of functional BMP-1s?
Grim, if true.
>novorossiya flag on pack
Haven't seen many of those recently, is this an old photo?
Managed to actually make a system worse than a straight BMP-1, genuinely impressive.
>be exyugo

Actually that's really cool looking.
okay
fuck it, i really have to make a special MTLB folder for this war.
if anyone has any other goofie shit pls post
