New Russian drone: S-70

So, the manufacturer apparently claims the S-70 Okhotnik “heavy attack drone” will be entering mass production in the 2nd half of 2024. Anyone have any more info on this thing?

Domestic production of Iranian drones is not scheduled until spring, at earliest, and the volumes will be low to start. And this is taking RU claims at face value.

Both, interceptor drone that if not used proceeds back home and lands so that it can be used later.

I haven't seen any info on how you refuel this thing. Or how it is supposed to get back home if it doesn't have enough fuel.

How did this end up being a Sukhoi drone? 17 years ago it was Mikoyan-Gurevich building it and calling it the Skat, now it’s Sukhoi and it’s called the S-70.

What went wrong with MiG anyway? They went from building the air forces of half the world to completely irrelevant in 10 years or so. It can’t be because their products are trash since Uralvagonzavod was able to beat Omsk Transmash despite the latter making better tanks.

the entire Russian arms industry is all one "company" now, the names are literally sports-team tier in meaning, just for "prestige" and company-culture rivalry/comradery

Russian MIC is "not for profit", its 100% "nationalized"
      its operates on
      *contracts*

thats not the "b2's" design, its Jack Northrops

      and anyway,
its the optimum shape every computer comes up with as "optimum" for stealth characteristics

not much deviation from this exists, across the board, as it stands from a "flight engineering" standpoint

doubtful, i dont see this fitting the drone meta in ukraine at the moment. it'll be a big expensive target when right now both sides are favoring cheaper, expendable, spammable munitions.
