Just dropped (pun intended).
> The missile system neutralised both aircraft at extreme ranges of 217km, surpassing the 150km range kill previously recorded by a Russian S-400 system against a Ukrainian Su-27 over Kiev in March, with this achieved despite the Su-27’s high manoeuvrability and impressive flight performance designed to allow it to effectively evade standoff missile attacks.
Why can't the Patriot achieve similar performance?
proofs?
>which is pro russian
my god what a fricking cope is that one of the most neutral sites that posts from both sides is now somehow a pro russian one
Now read the text at the bottom highlighted with green.
>most neutral sites that posts from both sides is now somehow a pro russian one
>Noooo you can't demand evidence you have to accept claims from the most duplicitous country in the world.
yeah
>Why can't the Patriot achieve similar performance?
Because we establish air superiority over our combat zones.
>why can't the Patriot achieve similar performance?
that's what we have F-15s and F-22s for.
ground-based AA is more missile-defense focused in Western doctrine, we do air superiority with SEAD and having a much better air force.
>prorussian website drops a turd
>OP happily picks it up and makes a thread about it
It's all so tiresome.
I don't think it's all fake. We have photos of an Su-24 and a MiG-29 (rather than an Su-27) getting shot down last week. It could be that the article is referring to them. The Ukrainian MoD might've tried to cover up the fact that the MiG got ganked by an ultra-long range SAM, by putting out that story about the plane flying into the debris field.
There are two items that lend credence to this being actually factual: 1) they mention the previous long-range hit, which, as anon noted here:
actually happened; 2) the Uke MoD put out an urgent request for more AA, which could signify that they're aware their planes risk getting murked by long range SAMs if they try to intercept missiles/drones closer to the border, so they are forced to pull them back.
Ukraine put out an urgent request for more AA as a response to the Shadid spam and 80 cruise missile petty vengeance raid.
One of them was an accident during the downing of a Shahed, the other one was a malfunction.
Or at least that's what the uke MoD is reporting.
Running into a SAM would cause one hell of a malfunction. And I can see the muskals using one of those shitty doodlebugs as bait to bag a much more valuable plane.
I read months ago the Ukrainians actually mentioned the supposed Ghost of Keiv was shot down by an S-400 fired from outside of Ukraine. They mentioned it was a world-record.
>on October 16th 2022 patriot missile downed 2 SU-57s flying over Vladivostok from their base of operation in western Ukraine 4266 away from the confirmed kills
>it was revealed that US donated one such system to Ukraine 2 days prior to this incredible, record setting kill
>source: my ass
Not so fast varnik-kun
Fake, SU-57 can't fly
friendly fire
Impressive.
With this most recent achievement, fate has, in a single stroke, marked the decline of the west and spelled a new era of wondrous prosperity and peaceful global dominance for the Russian bear, which promises to firmly stand in sharp contrast to the historically bloody ascent of western powers and the cruel subjugation it brought to the humbler nations of the world. The blessings of Russian plasma stealth technology, undetectable hypersonic combat vehicles, quantum direct-current electricity, neutrino submarine detectors, gamma titanium mono crystal turbines, quantum aircraft carriers, unmanned autonomous A.I. tanks, near-space ballistic air-to-air missiles, super light tanks, +2km range airburst rifles, quantum enhanced railguns, 5G Remote Surgery, magnetized plasma cannons, and quantum superalloy drones will be the instruments with which Russia affirms its noble stewardship of 21st century world politics and offers the non-western world a different option; an humanist alternative to the depredations of Western leadership and the opportunity for a more equitable and dignified multilateralism.
>S-400 gets BTFO
>Suddenly and coincidentally Russia also has breaking news about their SAMs being actually amazing
Why is there some copelord non stop posting Russia propaganda threads all day.
if you lurked here for any amount of time prior to the ukraine disaster, you'd know who the op is
Best guess? Kherson is going badly for the Russians, lol.
They're never this busy unless something bad is happening.
>They're never this busy unless something bad is happening.
But this happens every day!
...oh.
Ukraine's about to ride a bicycle made of pain up russias butthole at Kherson and Belgorod airport just got shot up. They're at DEFCOPE 3 right now.
Media blackout on Ukraine side. Which means they are doing something that the Russians are going to seethe about
Can I see it?
Isn't this site just some pajeet's blog?
Kill what? a drone?
I looked this site up to see what it was all about and the first thing I saw was it was also the one that reported "T14 in Luhansk" recently
lmao
What are you talking about? Sounds reliable enough to me.
Who believes this shit? Like who is actually moronic enough to believe this? If this was true the Ukies would be getting raped non-stop by AA but instead we get these token Russian victories spread out over months that just so happen to coincide with a huge Russian propaganda attempt during the lul in-between ukie offensives. Absolutely moronic.
An unstoppable spear and an unbreakable shield. Ends in bad PR for the moron vatniks.
>muh cobra maneuver
>Why can't the Patriot achieve similar performance?
Because it's been over 20+ yrs since a Patriot battery had to go up against a fighter craft. It's mostly used for intercepting missiles nowadays and it's very good at it.
