The PSA Jackl seem to have all of the advantages of an AR15 and none of its disadvantages.
>AR15 ergonomics
>Pistol reliability of an AK
>Folding stock
>AR15 accuracy
>Compatible with most AR15 parts
>Fully compatible with AR15 lower
>Adjustable gas system
>Adjustable for optimal performance with suppressors
>Doesn't seem to have proprietary components like Sig Spear so can be manufactured by anyone
>Not vaporware like other guns such as the Perun.
>Will have plenty of spare parts available
Tell me why this gun won't replace the AR15 in the next decade.
>Tell me why this gun won't replace the AR15 in the next decade.
Because it isn't an AR-15.
Yeah, it isn't a basic bitch slop gun for basic bitch people that's the point
Yeah and making a folding stock ar15 ergo'd gun is totally unique and original its totally not a basic bitch gun, it for people who want it because it's not an AR15 yet still want an AR15.
It's literally made by PSA
Operator error
>Tell me why this gun won't replace the AR15 in the next decade.
because I'm not gonna watch your video
>why it will not
Metallurgy is an art, not a science.
This is why buying a brand new model is only for collectors and new gun owners making their first mistake. It's a gamble.
It has the potential to be great, but it will take decades of little improvements to become as solid as a good AR.
>It has the potential to be great, but it will take decades of little improvements to become as solid as a good AR.
It doesn't need decades of additional improvements because its already incorporating a lot of the AR15 improvements into its own design.
Did you miss the part where it also removes a lot of the disadvantages of an AR15 like no folding stock, shitting where it eats, and bad optimization with suppressors?
It having AR15 parts is a big advantage as it can utilize the preexisting AR15 aftermarket support.
The Beretta 92/M9 incorporated a lot of things from earlier models, too. Slides still cracked after being used as military weapons. It takes a lot of time and use to vet a weapon platform.
I'm not saying that's the only kind of gun you should buy, I'm just saying it's not a civil war LARP buy.
>slides still cracked
Sure, after a batch of bad ammo and a complete lack of adequate maintenance on high round count guns.
No other adopter of the 92fs experienced the issues the US did.
Yup. The US military was using an old design of the 92 locking block that wasn't designed for extended abuse, and they were not changing them every 10-15K rounds, just letting them go to failure point. The equivalent is a woman who never changes the oil on her car, and the engine eventually sludges up and seizes, and then she goes, "This car is a piece of shit!!!"
And here I was, about to ridicule /k/ for bitching about the slides and not mentioning the locking blocks, because only an oldfag armorer or a true autist would know about something like that, and you came along to bring it up. Bravo, anon.
>tfw kids these days will never know the joy of inventing new and creative ways to remove the slides from berettas with cracked locking lugs
>remember what they took from you
>Slides still cracked after being used as military weapons
Ah, this old myth.
>No folding stock
Useless "feature" no one ever uses, golly your gun is slightly shorter who gives a shit
>shits where it eats
Literally does not matter
>bad suppressor optimization
Maybe if youre a poorfag running some gaped gasport shitrod, ar15s are great suppressor hosts.
you fundementally do not understand the AR-15, or AR-10 etc system, they are not direct impingement. This is a retarded take spammed over and over by anyone who dislikes the AR.
>like no folding stock
Only pseuds drool over this, folding stock is really only beneficial for storage/transport. You never, ever actually use a rifle without the folding stock deployed.
>shitting where it eats
Marketing meme that doesn't even get the basics of the AR's gas system correct
>and bad optimization with suppressors
What does this even mean? It's fucking easy to get an AR to run reliably with a suppressor.
>shitting where it eats
t. Has never shot an AR or taken apart an AR-15 bolt carrier group
Most of the carbon gets blown out of the vents in the bolt carrier, there’s no carbon build up in the chamber area. It just gets dirty in a different area compared to a gas piston system.
Bullshit. I have to clean all the way back to my buffer spring.
>bad optimization with suppressors
Geez fucking Wizz if only a community of like minded individuals would overcome this problem after 60 fucking year of use would come a solution.
>hurr durr shitting where it eats
do you ever get sick of your retarded rambling? this is like the 10th time this week, homosexual.
>and bad optimization with suppressors
piston ARs are louder than DI ARs suppressed. you don't know what you're talking about and are just shilling a youtuber.
Well that's lovely.
>AR-15 ergonomics
>AR-15 accuracy
>compatible with most AR-15 parts
>compatible with AR-15 lower
so its an AR-15 with extra steps?
FTFY
+ 1.5 extra pounds and minimal aftermarket support.
So another AR-18 bastard child? I mean I don't hate the look of it but its hardly winning any medals in its class
how thick is it? cause it looks fat as fuck compared to an ar
>Tell me why this gun won't replace the AR15 in the next decade.
The AR will never be replaced but this makes a good secondary rifle/pistol. For the people who have AKs and ARs this is just another option for them to add to their family.
It costs as much as 2.5 AR's, isn't available in a 20" barrel for optimal performance, and is only available from one manufacturer, whereas AR-15 parts are cheap and ubiquitous.
Wow its gas piston ar derivative #637
>Piston* reliability of an AK
>AR15 accuracy
pick one
shit thread
>Tell me why this gun won't replace the AR15 in the next decade
Because it's not appreciably better than the AR-15 and costs more. Why not stay with tried and true when it is almost as good and can be had for half the cost.
the jakl isn't new you fucking retard
Did I ever tell you the definition of insanity?
muh aftermarket
Monolithic uppers have been a thing since forever ago with LMT and Colt Canada. This thing is using AR-18 operating system (bolt, recoil assembly, piston) like all the other AR-18 variants (SCAR, ACR, XCR, Bren, MCR, etc.). It uses an obviously ripped off Magpul ACR stock. The lower is standard AR lower missing the buffer tube part (or maybe not). This isn't an AR-15. This is just another AR-18 with monolithic upper and ACR stock.
>This thing is using AR-18 operating system
Looks like it uses a long stroke piston. AR 18 is a short stroke
you sure they're not just stealing PWS long stroke piston design?
I just hate the look of everything that came from the SCAR competition. Only HK XM8 didn't look completely soulless and retarded, but it still looked like a fish.
Comes from the whole how much plastic can we sell them motive, cheaper to injection mold as much as you can vs expensive machine time
And it’s not like you can hire illegals to operate your cnc milling machines since this is for the government you actually have to pay minimum wage leading to being the most expensively operated machine shop in America
It's a Robinson XCR for the poors
stop sucking guntuber dick micah
It's a little too heavy for what it is. If I wanted something like that, I'd go for the Robinson Arms or the CZ offering. Of course, there's nothing wrong with the standard AR.
>AR15 ergonomics
The shit you posted odesn't even have a carry handle, it has the loading handle on the side instead of on the top, and it has a folding stock.
Pic related are AR15 ergonomics. What you posted is just modern, modular assault rifle design.
>heavier and bulkier
>folding stock is less sturdy (they break all the time)
>AR15 accuracy? KEK, no.
>"Pistol reliability of an AK" Literally WTF does that even mean, retard?
It's a meme gun that will disappear once everyone who wanted one has bought one.
the thing shoots like 3-4 MOA dude... it's a joke
Nothing is going to replace AR-15s until current cartridge technology is obsolete.
If the Bren 2 and ACR didn't replace the AR15 what makes you think this will?
The Bren 2 and ACR are ridiculously overpriced, and almost impossible to get vaporware.
Whereas you can buy the Jakl right now on the PSA website.
>heavier and bulkier
It doesn't weigh that much more than an AR15 and weighs way less than an AK.
>folding stock is less sturdy (they break all the time)
AKs have had folding stocks since forever and everyone praises them.
>AR15 accuracy? KEK, no.
Watch the video, he gets the same MOA as an average AR15.
>"Pistol reliability of an AK" Literally WTF does that even mean, retard?
The long stroke piston system is more reliable than a DI system, this is settled science.
>It has a long stroke piston system
It is not an AR18.
The AR-15 is only tried and true when you spend $2000 bucks for a super premium AR15 like Geissele or LMT.
If you buy some $500 Anderson or Stag Arms, you will get a piece of shit that jams every other mag.
>Overpriced
Not a problem for militaries
>The AR-15 is only tried and true when you spend $2000 bucks for a super premium AR15 like Geissele or LMT.
>If you buy some $500 Anderson or Stag Arms, you will get a piece of shit that jams every other mag.
How much do you think the US armed services branches spend on mil spec M4 carbines? Also how do you think Mil-spec M4 carbines compare to super premium AR-15s?
it's not compatible with most AR parts, wtf, none of the internals are. It's just trigger that meet height clearance, and grips.
das boot
watched the brassfacts vid on the jakl and personally i wouldn't ever get it
>new "AR-15 killer" announced
>look inside
>it's an AR-18
>OH WOW IT'S LIKE THE MAGPUL MASEDA ALL OVER AGAIN!!!!!!
>can’t manufacture sig spear parts
Give me one, a set of mitutoyo calipers and a VMC and I’ll disprove this
>2023
>Buying a pissed in rifle
Couldn't be me
https://patents.google.com/patent/US2951424
>But but the AR-15 is direct impingement nooo!!!
>AR 15 GOT US THROUGH THE MIDDLE EAST FOR 40 YEARS SONNY I KNOW WHAT I GOT DONT LOWBALL ME IF IT AINT NO AR 15 I DONT WANT IT
>graphic sounds of western militaries throating Stoner
this came out like a year ago, why do you fags keep posting this shit when gay youtubers make videos about them?
hes the gay youtube shilling himself
isn't that worse?
>Tell me why this gun won't replace the AR15 in the next decade.
kinda heavy
