      They know.

Not fricked at all if he quickly spun around and ND'd into the opposite wall. Then he can claim that the bullet just passed through his apartment and he doesn't know what happened.

Oh, I'll try to think of that next time.

This is why responsible gun owners have concealed carry insurance

Does CC insurance cover playing with your gun in your apartment and NDing like a moron?

have to put a laser pointer in the orignal hole then shoot through where it marks on the opposite wall otherwise forensics will work out what happened

Does that ever happen in real life?
I've had to report multiple crimes in my life, even one where someone died, and the most that ever happened was 3 cops looked around for like 15 minutes, left without doing anything, then several weeks later an investigator took my statement over the phone and it was case closed.

American houses are made out of paper

I also shot through an apartment wall. The wall was literally cardboard. The outside was a fascia made to look like wood, but it was literally painted cardboard. Looking at it you would 100% think it was wood paneled, but nope just cardboard. Thr inner wall, cardboard with drywall spackled over it. This building was over 30 years old, I'm not even sure how it's stood this long and not fallen apart.

Frames are probably the thing holding it up.
Modern housing really is shit for home defense. Double layer brick or bust.

I always thought if I ever had to escape a room, say there's an active shooter on the other side, I could just break through a wall. Most walls in the US are a joke, especially residential. I make sure all my gun stocks are strong enough metal to bash through drywall and cardboard wall, even windows with ease. Your rifle should always double as an escape tool or entry making tool. Though a hatchet should get you through any structure in this shithole country that isn't brick or cinderblock.

You're going to Kool Aid Man yourself through a wall...during an active shooting situation.

              I can't stop laughing.

You ain't cool aid man-ing through 16" OC studs. Your assailant will get a kick of you trying to chop through a 2x4 with your gun though

      >Wow, Anon, If you aren't responsible for this gun fire, how did a bullet pass through only the walls of your bedroom and nowhere else in the apartment complex hallways, floors or exterior?
      >Witnesses said there were two gun shots, why is there only one bullet path?
      >Geez, what a mystery.

Also it's really fricking obvious which way a bullet came in if anybody cares (police might not but landlord could). It's going to push/pull material with it, if it's coming in there will be insulation and so on along the path, same in reverse. Ignoring the fact that in lots of places there is zero random shooting going on.

Aren't most American walls made of drywall? Why not patch the hole and paint over it? Afterwards put something like a coffee table next to it.

You will be fine, I know a guy who accidentally fired a RPG through the floor and nothing bad legal-wise happened to him.

      Just Polish it up.

Does anyone else know? Just cover it up, hide it with something like with a picture or whatever and patch it up with spackle before you move. Literally that simple.

Unless of course the bullet exited somewhere where someone else could see. Then your friend might be fricked.

I did that and got away with it. Miraculously none of my adjacent neighbors were home, or gave a shit to call the cops. Like a dumbass I went door to door to make sure everyone was okay and explain myself. No one answered so I decided to cover it up since the cops didn't come. Cover it with a folder or something so light doesn't shine through it at night making it obvious to the outside. Then fill it with wall filler. Probably don't paint over the area as it will make it more obvious, the tiny hole isn't that noticeable. The outside is where it gets tricky. You have to match what got blown out. I cut a piece of wall from the outside of the building and glued it over the hole so it matched. I did it quickly and with my hand outside the window so it didn't turn out that well, when I moved I didn't get charged for it. Obviously make sure no one notices you covering it up, do it at night or when most people are at work and dress like maintenance workers. Frick property management corporations.

If you live I'm a cuckpartment, and trust me on this because I thought it would never happen to me too, drop your hammers/strikers somewhere not only safe for your neighbors but easy to cover up. I'd say aiming up at the ceiling if you're on the top floor, at such an angle that they wouldn't be able to trace it back to a hole in your unit. Bottom floor idk, maybe aim at the floor but if the carpet is hard to match maybe not. Drywall spackle is easy to blend enough to not be noticeable. But you could also rip out a few strands of carpet and glue them over the hole. Tile and wood you probably won't be able to match, there's wood filler but it would be noticeable.

i saw a video once on youtube of a guy who built this 'bag' type contraption that he used for dewienering his pistols in the house just in case of ND

A clearing bucket or sand bags, not a bad idea if you regularly need to dewiener.

He should just explain it that he sneezes pretty hard. He had stuck a bullet up his nose and it made him sneeze and he screamed in such a way during the sneeze that it sounded like a gun. If they ask him to do it again, he can explain that he doesn't just sneeze like that on command like some common street trash.

    >My friend just ND’s into a wall in his apartment complex. How fricked is he legally
Depends on what you mean by "legally". As far as government involvement and criminal law, you (I mean "he") are fine you didn't actually hurt anybody. As far as civil liability, land lord could go after you for damages and, depending on local ordinances and language of the lease, may be able to terminate the lease for cause and boot you.

If one of my tenants did that, I'd consider the circumstances. If it was into a sand bucket and the only issue was the noise I'd warn them not to let it happen again and leave it at that. If it was into the floor on the first floor (showing they were at least following normal decent good practice) I'd charge them if it cost me anything (mainly if it was in an area where I knew there was plumbing or electrical and had to spend any time/money figuring out if there was damage, and then obviously if there was and had to fix it). If it was into/through a wall or ceiling I'd evict them. I've never ND'd in 30 years, it's not fricking hard, and if you know you're accident prone following normal safety rules should be a habit too. It's a rural area, I'm not dealing with any risk of my nice reliable older tenants getting hurt by some butthole I can easily replace. Don't ND, and if you do it better be into a sand bucket and you better thoroughly clean afterwards.

dont worry anon. It's happened to me a few times.
    >At friend's apartment in college . Just bought my first pistol from a gun show (I was 18).
    >Drinking with friends
    >Show them my new jericho
    >Try to manually dewiener
    >Thumb slips on hammer, ND into ceiling.
    >Upstairs neighbor too high and drunk (underage and illegal drugs) to call the police.
    Second time
    >At the "range" (Abandoned rock quary), downing shots while blasting music with the friends
    >Showing friend pistol
    >Point at ground to show him how to wrack and pull the trigger
    >Forgot loaded mag in
    >Shoot between his feet
    Third time
    >At my own house, drinking while watching TV
    >Just bought a SIG from a guy
    >Try swapping slides with another SIG I had
    >Forgot the other SIG slide was chambered
    >Pull trigger
    >Shoot my wall
    Fourth time
    >At house party, drinking of course
    >Guy hosting it has an AK, I ask if I can hold it
    >Rack and release bolt
    >It slamfires into the ground scaring everyone
    Fifth time
    >Showing a friend how to use it
    >No idea how but a round got chambered
    >Show him how the trigger works
    >He presses the trigger
    >AK fires into the same hole in the ground
Drinking and handling weapons is fine as long as you're careful, NDs happen and that's just a fact of firearms ownership.
You'll be safer once you realize and accept that

I intentionally discharged in my apartment complex into a stack of chipboard. In the middle of the night, so I probably just woke a bunch of people up, and nothing happened. Had it got through, I'd patch it up with gypsum, because we don't build homes out of cardboard over here.
