Assuming you meant what I think you meant, any air defense system can kill these things without breaking a sweat. The problem is that a patriot missile is like 200 times more expensive than the thing you suggest it destroy. Which means you can have 200 drones for every missile. Retard.

Show me the inventory of these things in sufficient numbers to surround every target of value and cover every angle of approach.

You gays really don't understand what the drone threat is all about, do you? It's economic/logistical, not tactical. Nobody ever said the shahed can't be killed, you can fucking swat them out of the sky with AKs. The problem is that with the sorts of air defense systems currently in use, it's prohibitively expensive to counter dirt cheap and simple suicide drones like these.

            Anonymous

There are multiple nato AA systems them are designed to counter slow moving Arial targets with cannons or other guns. They all can shoot down drones like this with extremely cheap munitions. Shahed is also so innacurate it provides little tactical advantage against conventional forces.

Literally everything of value has a defensive system even in Ukraine. Striking civilian infrastructure doesn't actually have much value beyond pissing people off, and the handful of civilian deaths, while sad, aren't particularly valuable in the context of a war, especially one where it's been as much of an artillery fest on big cities.

This fucking brainlet-tier take AGAIN! It is never prohibitively expensive to shoot down a drone, no matter how cheap the drone or how expensive the missile you fire at it. No one is ever going to say
            >yeah , we could shoot down that drone, prevent the destruction of wherever it lands, and save the lives of the people in the way, BUT THINK OF THE COST!
Besides, Ukraine is getting western AA systems for the low price of absolutely free, so unless Russia is getting paid to take these drones off of Iran's hands, then no, the attrition equation does not work out in their favor.

Now you show us the inventory of your methods of deploying your shitty missiles with any "angle of approach".
Then you show us how many you can produce any once you've wasted 90% of your stockpile.
Not even several trucks of those missiles would get through a defense network that isn't scavenged soviet scrap.

            >economical
Should Iran attack anything of real value, they'd soon be unable to feed themselves let alone produce anything. Their only allies would have been Russia or other terrorist-states.
Iran would have better chance attacking any weak country trading with their enemy.
Even France would shoot those shitty missile at a 99% rate and defeat Iran by themselves. There's a reason terrorists have not been able to strap explosive to RC drone and hit even a refinery.

So yes, Iran would do some damage. Then lose their country and not even from occident interference, just from their revolting population.

Fisher Pens made it with a million bucks of their own money, and sold them for $6 each to both NASA and the USSR. In the 1960s that was pretty expensive for a pen, but not like INSANE, it's like a $57 pen in today's dollars.

          >NATO really doesn't have a response does it?
They are easy to shoot down.
          It's not that complicated.

The problem is not if it's "effective" against NATO, it's "efficient" against NATO.
This drone costs very little compared to the tech you need in order to shoot it down.

So it's not a insanely great weapon that completely goes through NATO defenses, it's an annoying mosquito that comes in groups and cost very little to buy and operate.

They have medium levels of accuracy, compared to similar drones, but they are still very effective as a terror weapon and psychological warfare on the Ukranian population.
They are also have a kamikaze feature where they aim and destroy on impactlike a missile.

It's made to overwhelm anti-air defenses through saturation.
They are more of a distraction for other air assets and a ressource waste for the NATO side, that try to shoot them down with advanced weapons.

But a single sophisticated anti-air system like the phalanx, can deal pretty easily with such drones.

Also it makes hella noise. It's very very noisy for a drone of its size.
So kinda like the sirens of the WW2 German Stuka in tems of psychological effect on the people on the recieving end of it.

              Well yes and no.
Weapons of terror, like the Germlan V2 rocket don't necesserily need to hit their intendedtargets to cause dread in the population.

It doesn't affect the military forces directly, if Civiliansget hit repeatedly but it does affect morale.
If the morale of the civilians goes down to very low levels, then there will be pressure put on the military / government to sue for peace, meaning they are at a clear disadvantage if this happens.

So really it's about Civilian Morale, more than troops morale.
Civilians still have a say in the War.
If there's an insurection against the Ukranian governement, that would be absolutely catastrophic.

The Russians are low on missile stocks, especially the top of the lines ones.
The embargos really hit their arms industry hard because they can't order chipsto put in theirmissiles anymore so missile production slowed down to a crawl.

The fact that Russia has to buy iranian made drones is a sign that sactions are working.

But going from high tech, high precision missiles, to low tech/low cost low precision suicidal drones, has an effect on how Russians conduct their warfare.
If they keep doing barrages of explosive drones that terrorize the urkanian civs, then their morale will crash and support for the Ukranian military will weaken with time.

Russia doesn't need to Win against the Ukranian military directly, they can attack their relationship with NATO countries.

Like with the Nordstream pipeline sabotage.
Somethink it's the US, some think it's the Russians sabotaging their own infrastructure to try and poison therelationship of Ukraine with the West.

Putin doesn't have many cards left to play, but those are hismost powerful cards he can play right now : create dipomatic mayhem between Ukraine and it's suppporters.

The only time that a pure terror bombardment succeeded in causing a surrender that I know of was the mass flattening of the center of Rotterdam in WW2, even that was only the straw that broke the camels back, as it was a fucking embarrassment for the Germans that beating The Netherlands took more than a day.
(one of the pre-war training exercises of the KNLLM involved biking to the park and shooting ducks)

Intersting. Thanks for sharing that info.

                >If they keep doing barrages of explosive drones that terrorize the urkanian civs, then their morale will crash and support for the Ukranian military will weaken with time.
These "barrages" are mostly shot down before reaching their targets. The few that get through and hit apartment buildings and schools and the like kill a handful of people. This isn't hurting the public's morale. It's enraging them and making them more determined than ever to drive the Russians out. Ironically, doing the "terror weapon" shit just steels their resolve. It'd hurt their morale more if civilians were being accidentally killed in legit military attacks. But drones flying into high rise apartments in the middle of large urban areas is obviously just a big "Fuck you, Holhol!" and it pisses them off instead of demoralizing them.

                I guess it's relative then.
It could have the opposite effect, sure, but I don't know the reality on the ground.
Would have to ask Ukies directly.

                >This drone costs very little compared to the tech you need in order to shoot it down.

No it doesnt. Basic static AAA whill clear them off the skies for pennies.

Depending on the type of AA, sure.
Some AA uses dumb munitions, others use guided munitions.
The ones that use guided munitions will probably cost more to operate than the iranian drones themselves.

Maybe, but the value difference is negligible compared to letting the drone hit its target - in some situations, obviously.

Small drones can be countered by old systems like guns and short range missiles. It can also be countered by HPM and other DEWs, and laser systems.

HPM can neutralize swarms entirely. NG already have a Stryker version of this. Lasers are coming online too.

Sensors too have been mobilized. Thede are a bunch of small yet powerful radars already and I think NG is integrating those for organic SHORAD. More powerful radars are coming online too.

      Cool Webm.
Too bad the guy speaking issuch a retarded gay.

      - The war in the Pacific was already over by 1944.
      - The USA ask Japan repeatedly to surrender.
      - The REAL problem was miscomunication between americans and japs. Americans asked for "Unconditionnal Surrender". The Japanese translated that into "They will behead our Emperor" and therefore refused any of the demands of surrender.
      - In fact this made it tens times worse. Japanese Civilians were brainwashed by propaganda to think that "Evil American Monsters" would come in to their towns, rape their women, kill their mean and eat their children. Literally. This meant that when Americans took islands with japs on them, most if not ALL japs would commit suicide or would suicide by attacking the US tropps until they died.

      - Normal / Western countries would have a 1 to 3 ratio of surrender. Meaning 2 dead soldiers for every 1 soldier who surrendered.
      - Japanese ratio of surrender was 12 to 1. 12 Jap soldiers died for every 1 that surrendered.

The Japs were going to fight TO THE DEATH. All of them, no exceptions, even babies would have been given grenades or whatnot.

The Atomic Bomb was dropped RELUCTANTLY by the US.
The US knew this was going to be horrible in the humanitarian sense.
BUT it was a NECESSERAY EVIL to both reduce the number of Allied Soldiers death by Hundreds of Thousands and ALSO reduce the number of dead japanese by TENS OF MILLIONS.

Also the Allies would have stopped at 1 single nuclear bomb if the japanese had surrendered like they should have.
But the japense thought the Americans were bluffing and that the nuke was a one-time thing.
The Americans dropped a second one just to prove a fucking point.
ANd what retards don't know, is that 3rd bomb was on it's way, ready to be dropped, but they didn't.

      cont.

If there were no Nuclear Bombs dropped :
        - The war would have lasted 1 or 2 more years.
        - The country of Japan would have been reduced to actual rubble.
        - About 90% of the Japanese population would have died.

It would have been bombing after bombing.
Thousands of planes pounding away at the japs with big bombs, fire bombs and all sorts of nasty stuff.

My own grandfather, who was a WW2 RAF Battle of Britain pilot had recieved a letter explaining him he would be deployed with the yanks to bomb Japan.

SO The Nulclear bombs saved TENS OF MILLIONS OF PEOPLE. Both civs and military.

The Bombs saved more lives than they took.

I remember the Kiev offensive when you retards were claiming the entire capital was completely encircled, now you're barely claiming it's "under siege" (from one side only?) so I'm not sure if I should believe there's even any fighting going on

A great way to keep track on the real time situation on the front is by looking at what both sides chose to celebrate.
After 8 months of all out war literally on their border their major accomplishment they’re celebrating as a strategic victory is being able to hit some electrical substations causing a blackout for a few hours. America in iraq were running ops deep behind enemy lines cutting fibre-optic cables and listening in on every single frequency they were using in a country on the other side of the world.
Russia has been so completely and unequivocally buck broken by this war that coping on the internet in their hugboxes is the only thing stopping them from suicide (already an epidemic in Russia). I remember when they were at least celebrating capturing double digit villages after weeks of intense fighting

2nd question -- give us a roadmap of restoration of Armenia's territorial integrity. What roadmap? I'll answer to you promptly, sit down with Ilham Aliyev, if needed ask president Putin, and make a decision. If you don't do so, things will be worse, you know it yourself. We don't want this conflict. You've put forward 2 questions that are more than strange, Nikol Vovayevich [Pashinyan]."

        https://eng.belta.by/president/view/sincere-discussion-and-fitting-proposals-what-lukashenko-talked-about-during-csto-online-summit-154266-2022/
“The issue is very sensitive and delicate. It is not like the CSTO and we, CSTO members are on one side while Azerbaijan is on the other side. The two countries are friendly to us. Yes, indeed, they were part of one country. But moreover, we are members of the Commonwealth of Independent States together with Azerbaijan and Armenia. We have very tight ties with Armenia, which is a Christian Orthodox country and close to us. And with the Islamic state of Azerbaijan, which is very close to us. It is a particularly sensitive issue for other CSTO members, including the Russian Federation where 30 million Muslims live. In other words, all the nuances, all the factors need to be taken into account,” the Belarusian leader stressed.

Aleksandr Lukashenko went on saying: “And after all, is Azerbaijan some enemy or adversary for all the heads of state and countries present here? It is not. I confirm President Putin's words that Armenia and Azerbaijan are kindred countries for us. It is a peculiarity of the situation. We cannot but take it into account.”

The president believes one must not look at the problem by saying there is the Collective Security Treaty Organization and “Are you with us or not?” on one side and Azerbaijan is on the other side. “It is incorrect. Today Azerbaijan is headed by absolutely our kind of a person – Ilham Aliyev. Nobody knows what will happen tomorrow (he cannot live forever after all). This is why the acute issues raised by Nikol Vovayevich [Pashinyan] truly need to be addressed now. While Azerbaijan's current leadership is still in place,” Aleksandr Lukashenko stated. “Regardless of whoever backs Azerbaijan. They say Türkiye does and so on. So what? It is politics. Turks support Azerbaijan because the two countries are close and kindred.”

It's adorable isn't it? Russian agitprop has always worked by pointing out a very few aspects of Europe/US that are worse there, than in Russia. That's how it was before the war. At one point they couldn't use any real points so they had to start making shit up. I believe we've reached the third phase, where they must admit, that they suck at every single category, but *ahem* they could very locally and very temporarily fuck shit up some place of their choosing so it gets equally shit as in Russia.
Way to go lads! That's why nobody wants to see you at the adult table

    >Turkish drones
    >stealth drone capable of firing sophisticated missiles
    >a dozen of them crippled entire Russia's invasion

The only reasons those cheapass shit work is because NATO didn't provide their counter-weapon to Ukraine in advance and aren't fighting the war themselves.

Should there be military strike against Iran, Iran would lose all its factories in the first week, none of their homemade AA (inferior to even Russian AA) will be able to prevent it.
